The Great Detention PV Detention Closed

Whoa. Did he just not mention anything about their ‘oh-so evil’ family? Jay was utterly and completely surprised. He hated them, right? He really really hated them as much as they really really hated him, right? If I were in his position and I wanted to get rid of me I would mention the whole Grindelwald thing. Why did he choose not to? Perhaps he forgot. Hopefully he forgot so that in the future he won’t use it against them for any reason. Their feelings got all mixed up then... Until he started to say things to Professor Jensen.

Did he just say that The Head of Slytherin would put spikes on washcloths that eleven year olds use, and whip them with snakes? Jay has said worse to important adults and teachers before, and nevermind the fact that Alex mocked them, Jay had a small feeling that this Professor would probably haunt them both for the rest of their lives just because Alex Classen decided to mock the Head of Slytherin. Why did I even get a letter from this school? If they had only know what I would cause...

Anyways, Jay themself could get expelled if they kept their current reputation up. I really am dead aren’t I? Oh well then I’ll just enjoy the last few moments of my precious life reading a book or something. Jay truly regretted talking to him in the first place. But how could they not overhead the words of ‘being born into a muggle family’? Their mind just seemed trained to mock anyone with muggle-blood. Jay bit their lip in nervousness. 

These children. They were starting to get on his nerves. Especially the boy. The boy was rude and arrogant, much like most of the house he shared, and it made the house of Lions look like a bunch of childish buffoons. Anton, after his own tenure of being at Hogwarts during one of the roughest times in the school's history, had never seen such childish actions. And what was this boy saying? His parents didn't know he was at Hogwarts? With his strange accent, Professor Nagal pinned him as an American. Strange that he was there, at Hogwarts, when the Americas had a perfectly good school. Plus, how did he just suddenly get there? Did he even have magic?

Not that it concerned him. He watched as Ms. Jensen moved to take care of them, but the boy's obvious disrespect continued. Actually, it got worse. Anton couldn't help but cough on the sip of coffee he was taking when he heard the failed attempt at the pronunciation of her first name, and then the obvious way he continued to mess her name up. It tipped when Alexander kept going on, even once he was told to stop.

This time, it was Professor Nagal who had gotten up. His shoulders were relaxed, and as he stepped towards the group, he waved his wand. A heavy deafness fell over the entire room, although the silence was something he finally took for granted. So much for his plans this weekend, going back to Dufftown for work. Now he just had to babysit. "Since neither of you can listen to rules, I've decided that the rest of your term doing detention will be in silence. You cannot speak-" and this was obvious as he had cast Silencio on both the children, "Likewise, since you asked for a worse punishment, Mr. Claassen, the rest of the weekend, you will both be tied at the wrist together to learn teamwork. I'm sure, since you're from America, you've heard the phrase, 'A house divided cannot stand'. In this case, you both are a crumbling support for Gryffindors. It'd be a shame to watch you both ruin such a wonderful house.

"That being said," Anton looked upwards at the enchanted roof, as if gauging the time. It worked, as the ceiling seemed to reflect the day, "I expect you both to finish up here, and report back as soon as lunch is over. I'll also be informing your head of house, Professor Wright, of your inability to follow instructions, and she can deal with you two as she sees fit on top of this. Now, I suggest you finish and then leave before I make both your punishments worse."

He glanced towards Ms. Jensen, and shook his head, and would observe the rest of the children's behavior before they left.

As of this post, you both may post one last time. As a reminder, your characters are Silencioed in your post, so neither can use verbal speech. You may have your character leave at the end of the post, and once out of the great hall, will be able to return speaking. Just because this post plays the first detention, canonically, your characters will return for the rest of the weekend, where they'll be tied together at the wrists (thinking holding hands so they're only able to use one hand each without needing teamwork), and silenced.
