Smiling at the younger girl, she shuffled closer to Elena to get them both in the photo. Putting her arm around Elenas shoulders - completely disregarding the girls right to personal space - she help the camera out in front of them the way she had seen her mother do before.

It was hard to hold with one hand, but not impossible. Keeping it steady, she hovered her finger just above the button that took the picture. "Smile." With a bright flash that was over as soon as it started, she moved the camera out of the air and set it on her lap. Shuffling over to give Elena a bit of personal space, she turned back towards the girl.

Holding the camera up to her eye, she pointed it at Elena. "Say cheese." She clicked the button, and once more the bright flash went off - the giveaway that told her a picture had been taken.

"Old cameras are cool, aren't they? I'll develop the photo later in the potion that makes it move and show you. Here, you can take a picture if you want. I've got lots of film. Just look through the little bit at the top then click the button." Holding the camera out to the younger of the pair, she motioned for her to take it.

Bella had given Elena what pretty much amounted to a hug, and for some reason, Elena didn't feel like struggling out of it, or running away. Instead she just relaxed into it and smiled happily as she looked into the camera. Then Bella turned it around to take another photo of her.

Elena beamed at the camera, Bella really did want to take photos of her, to remember her. It was nice, to be cared for enough to be put into film, Elena hoped the picture would end up looking good. The flash went and Elena managed not to blink or flinch, which was a miracle given how jumpy the girl was. Maybe one day she'd have a book full of these, memories of the world getting better, and life being sweet. Nice. Happy. The castle had become like home to her, with the friends she was making and her good grades, it was all going so well.

The camera was a thing of beauty, and Elena took it carefully out of Bella's hands. She took a few seconds to look a the lens and the buttons before raising it to point it at Bella, "How about I take a picture of the best thing in the castle? Smile!"

I'm weak my love.
