Mafia Game 1
Morgan widened both their grey and hazel eyes in self disappointment. How could they have forgotten that they were supposed to state their roles in the setting? It does make the most sense that they would be playing this game as they are the people who are inside the castle. Morgan put their head in their hands and put their elbows on their legs. They started to wonder what they should or could be in the game, but they then remembered: they were with stage fright. Morgan is not a confident enough speaker for a group of people, especially as it was speaking to people they barely knew. How were they going to refer to their role if they did not want to say it? Should they have brought a pencil and write it down on the little folded paper for them to see? Will they laugh at them or their way of communicating?Aurelia Bezuidenhout wrote:“Now, it could be anyone. What do you do around the palace?” She asked turning to the nearest person.
Morgan suddenly realised that there's no need for much drama over stating a superficial role in a little game. They waited until the one speaking had no other words left to say, and with a little croak, they said: "I- I am the mai- the butl- the- the cleaner. I tidy up the royal family's rooms and the like around the castle."
Their voice, baritonous yet airy, seemed to take effect as quickly as the words settled in the others' ears; they were waiting for Morgan to finish speaking. After a short pause and with a slight hesitation, they continued: "I was just tidying up at the table downstairs soon after they had finished their supper. I took the dishes directly to the... to the... kitchen sink," they said with a finger waving up and down, firing away the useless thoughts in their mind in some direction - they did not know where, they were looking downwards at their legs again.
"And after I had ensured the dishes were kept in the kitchen, I immediately went to my quarters and slept." They realised all the mistakes they had made while speaking, wincing while thinking of what were their next words should be so that they could not get killed in first day.
"I hadn't heard anything since." They took a breather and slouched, waiting for the next person to speak up.

Mafia Game 1
𝒜madea had played Mafia or some version of the game a number of times, so she was quite acquainted with the rules, deception, and detective work it took to play a game like this. Nevertheless, she listened as the Gryffindor explained the rules of the game. Amadea was excited to begin. She drew her card from the cauldron, looking at her role and making sure that no one else could see it. She couldn't trust anyone in this game; it was everyone for themselves. She didn't know who would be lying or telling the truth.
Amadea closed her eyes as Aurelia set the scene, envisioning the palace and the chaos that ensued after the prince's death. Surely, a criminal would be found. Amadea opened her eyes, carefully looking at everyone who was in the game, wondering who could possibly be the murderer. There wasn't much evidence and Amadea still didn't know much about the other people, so she stayed quiet, listening to everyone explain who they were and what their alibi was. Amadea hoped that someone would slip up and she would be able to catch them.
"I am a lady in waiting to the queen," Amadea explained when her turn came. "I was helping the queen get ready for bedtime when we received the news. It was absolutely horrible; the queen is absolutely devastated and is going through the grieving process. I hope we can find the perpetrator soon and it will relieve a bit of her misery."

Along with the others, Ellara drew her card from the pile when her turn came around, trying to figure out what kind of role she would be playing. As the story began, she leaned back and listened, excited to play her very first game of Mafia! Apparently, there was a murder of a prince in a castle somewhere... That sounded pretty bad. She let the story finish and then glanced around, scanning the faces of the other members of the group for any signs of being guilty.
One of the other students suggested that they go through and explain their roles in the castle, which she thought would be a perfectly fitting idea. Once it was her turn, she began, "I'm a stable girl in the palace, often out working with the horses as my dad did before me. During the time of death, I was playing a game of cards in the servants' quarters," she informed the group. "The prince was a good rider... agile, quick. There was no way he could've just 'fallen down'. This was definitely murder, and whatever happened to him..." She sighed, shaking her head. "He didn't deserve it. He was a good man."

Sonya listened as people began to state their roles. She waited for her friend Ellara to finish saying her role before she began to speak. "I'm a maid in the palace," she stated, "I mostly wash and tend to clothing, working in the lower parts of the palace." Her job was simple, nothing too intense or complicated. She decided it would be good to stick to the simple. "I was playing cards in the servants quarters as well," she said, nodding to Ellara. It would be good to have a story of what she was doing at the time of the murder and she thought going along with someone else may help her in the end.

It wasn’t a surprise that there wasn’t a single accusation, it was the first day after all. “The queen wouldn’t be happy when I tell her that nobody’s head had gotten beheaded. Regardless, work still needs to be done in the palace so of you go but I don’t expect to see anyone out after midnight. Aurelia instructed everyone to close their eyes as she began the night phase. After completing the rituals; waking the mafia, doctor, and Detective. The girl girl started the day phase all over again.
“Good morning everybody, peaceful day isn’t it? No deaths and what so ever. Unfortunately the queen is still furious with her son’s death and if all of you can’t find the mafia, she might as well chop of my head. ” Aurelia started, she hoped her speech would encourage some to vote else the game wouldn’t go anywhere.

There were no accusations. They should start accusing now. It was no longer the first day. "Well who was around the prince that day? And there must be motive." She turns to everyone and asks. "Was the prince rude or mean to anyone?" She waited for a response. If he was they could narrow down the list of suspects. Right now anybody could be the mafia and she did not know who. They would find the mafia before it killed them all.

To her astonishment, there were no accusations thrown at each other, and frankly, she was just delighted to live a day, unlike last time. She recalled the jobs of the students, well, the roles. There was a medic, tailor, stable girl, lady in waiting, and a cleaner; the ones she could remember right off the back without trouble. One role still remained, she was sure of it. Still, she couldn't the blame on someone she hadn't known for more than a few minutes.
Finally, it occurred to her that she hadn't stated her role in the castle, but she decided to keep quiet; the moment was over with anyways. She turned her attention to the red-haired first year, "You're the medic, did the prince happen to see you throughout the day?"

“The prince was known to be arrogant but he was respected as always in the palace.” Aurelia stated, answering Eri’s question.

Mafia Game 1
Henry'd shuffle in the circle, his butt was going numb from sitting down. Since they had to do jobs that were inside the castle, he decided to change his to the gardener, as he believed nobody had chosen that yet. If they had, he presumed there'd be multiple gardeners. Big castle= big garden.
"I am one of the gardeners for the family, spending almost all my time working outdoors. I don't come into contact with the family a lot, only when they have certain requests about what flowers they want putting down etc."
He'd announce, re-crossing his legs before he looked around the circle.
He didn't know many people sat here so he knew whoever he voted for was going to end up being completely random. Thinking over all the different job roles that people had said. He'd finally decided on who he was going to pick so now it was his turn, he could say it on the time turn that he explained what his role was in the castle.
"And my vote..goes to Amadea..the lady in waiting. She talks so coldly about it, not saying how she was affected but how others were. She's in very close quarters with the Queen and so must have gotten to know the son, so shouldn't her death have made her more emotional or at least state that she's sad? 'her misery', you said, not 'the misery' or 'our misery'."
Henry'd shrug after explaining himself, most of it had been off the top of his head and he hoped Amadea would forgive him for choosing her.

Mafia Game 1
𝒜madea listened to Aurelia as dawn arose, heart beating. Every time she played this game, it was this moment that terrified her the most. Had she died? Alas, she had not; she was surviving for another day.
She listened to the rest of the people trying to deduce more about who could have murdered the prince. Her ears pricked up as she heard her name being thrown into the mix of suspects. "Of course I am upset about the prince's death," Amadea said, aghast that anyone could have someone assumed she wasn't. "My duty is to the queen, however. If I were to show my emotions, it might interfere with my job to help comfort the queen in her own emotions." Amadea was sad about the prince's death. If she was being honest, she was almost more sad about how much it affected the queen. It hurt her heart to see the queen's suffering. While Amadea had her own sorrows, they were nothing compared to the magnitude of what the queen must be feeling; after all, she had lost her son. Amadea wanted to help the queen move through the grieving process, and what the queen needed right now was to find the murderer.
Turning her attention back to the two girls who were discussing the prince's whereabouts and personality. Amadea wracked her brain, trying to think of who looked most likely to have killed the prince. Unfortunately there just wasn't enough information for her to decide yet. Maybe the next round would lead to some more clues, or the people who talked after she did would have a lead.
