The First Mile of Magic

Diana softly thanked Natalie when she handed the young Seer a cauldron cake, which resulted in her carefully holding onto the sweet treat, as if it were the most delicate thing in the world. "It's my favorite," she admitted softly, offering Natalie a small, grateful smile before taking a bite.
When Natalie answered the question about what house she thinks she'd be in, mentioning Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, Diana tilted her head thoughtfully. "Gryffindor would suit you," she gently said. “You seem brave enough to say what you’re hoping for. That counts. But it all lies in what the hat decides, and you may be right, the hat might put you into Hufflepuff, or maybe Gryffindor. But you'll never know until we get to Hogwarts.”
Ok, maybe Diana was chattering a bit much again, but she always found the house conversation interesting. However, soon, Natalie talked about Hogwarts and magic, and the young Seer noticed the way the other girl's voice dipped at the end, filled with regret and hesitation. Diana was the only wizard-born amongst the three girls, but while she grew up in a magical household, she mainly lived a Muggle life, which could be confusing to others when she explains it. Despite this, Diana frowned slightly, not in confusion, but more in consideration.
“I don’t think that’s foolish at all,” she said, a little more firmly than usual. “It’s better to ask than pretend to know everything.” She brushed a crumb from her sleeve. “I’ve read a few books about Hogwarts, but books don’t really tell you what it feels like.” Diana watched as the hills blurred past. "I think we’re all going to learn together anyway.” She paused before adding, "Plus, I'm a wizard-born, as Angel had said. I was raised in the Muggle world, did Muggle things, but that didn't stop my parents from teaching me about magic. I think I know more things than both of you do, but there's still a lot to learn."
Diana's lips twitched upward at Angel's cheerful rambling. "I think Chitter suits you well, Angel," she said quietly, though there was no mockery in it. “It’s not a bad thing.” Diana hesitated, but just for a fraction of a second, taking a small, almost imperceptible pause. “I don’t think anyone here is going to mind that you’re muggle-born,” she added to Angel, her tone calm but certain. “It feels… different now.” Diana didn't explain it; didn't explain what she meant. She didn't need to. Instead, she shifted in her seat and went back to talking about Hogwarts. “As for Hogwarts being scary,” she added, glancing between them, “I think it depends on what you’re afraid of.” A faint smile tugged at her mouth. “But I’m glad we’re in the same compartment.”

Four more hours to go. It was starting to get dark, dawn. Angel was droopy but she decided to draw. The little mills and old runes, she painted them carefully with precision.
The forests were rich with color and wood, the smell of mahogany woke her up. It didn't occured to her that it was much energetic then it was before.
Many students were talking about what house they're going to be sorted in and what adventures and lessons they will endure. Angel too was curious but she was more focused on how much she has to do once all reached Hogwarts.
Angel looked over the cabin windows she was in awe. It just hit her that her life would be different from here on out.
She looked over at Natalie and Diana and she chipped
"You know most people would have already made friends here and—" she paused before speaking again
"I thought that we can all be aquatintces yeah? Friends? I think all three of us would make a good pair!" Angel said with thrill. It was clear she really was the bubbly and social person always up to making friends.
Before silence was broken again she stopped for a brief moment and then added on to her conversation.
"I think what Diana said was right, it really was pleasant to be with you guys in this compartment." Angel said calmly with her smile applied softly with her face.
