Fresh Air....and Maybe A New/First Friend?

Harry noticed the girl's tone; it didn't seem offensive, but clearly the tone of someone who had just quickly changed their plans. Harry didn't want to be inconvenient, but he still wanted to learn the way to the kitchen, as he knew he would be passing through there often. He intended to leave the girls alone after they reached the kitchen, but perhaps chat with them briefly on the way there, Harry commented humbly.
-Ah! Thank you! I won't bother you for long, I promise!-
He said with a smile and a humble tone.

Harry was less friendly than that; he was really trying to seem inviting, although his true way of speaking was a little exaggerated to appear more friendly. Harry still wondered about the girl who stayed in the courtyard. What could have happened? Did she ignore them? He wondered as he walked to the kitchen, a little closer to the girls, if he wouldn't fit in that well, although he wasn't resentful. He understood that the girls wanted to stay among themselves, but he couldn't resist the opportunity to memorize, and perhaps discover a shortcut to the Hogwarts kitchens, because he knew what he would find there. He had once read a story at Hogwarts about house-elves, servants and friendly by nature. He didn't want to exploit them, but it was an opportunity he couldn't ignore.

Evaline paused mid-twirl of her parasol when the boy spoke, blinking once as she processed the sudden new presence.

"Oh! Hello," she said brightly, absolutely unfazed by the sudden addition of a stranger. "You materialized very politely, I respect that."

She shifted the parasol so it covered all three of them now, purely on instinct, and gave a small dramatic bow with the parasol. "Evaline Valerie Hawthorne. Evie, if you’re fond of efficiency."

Her gaze flicked briefly to the distant figure he mentioned, squinting. "Oh... her?" She shrugged, unconcerned. "Nope. She escaped before we could collect her too. Tragic, really."

Then she glanced at Jada, catching the look and immediately softening, a little amused. "We were having a moment," she said, teasing gently, "but I suppose one more won’t ruin the ecosystem."

At the mention of her muggle-born friend, she softened just a fraction, smile turning fond instead of mischievous.

"Cher?" she said."Oh, she’s brilliant. Quiet... and wears far too much yellow. Thinks magic is the coolest thing on the planet and keeps trying to convince me to let her cut my hair."

She tilted the parasol, eyes glinting. "She bought me this because she said I ‘dress like a haunted porcelain doll’ and thought I needed protection from the sun"

" She- uh...goes to a different school." She muttered, her voice taking an uncomfortable tone near the end.

Then, she turned to the boy again. " So, what's your name?" She asked politely.

HaHarry noticed Evie's great energy; the girl didn't seem too bothered by his abrupt appearance. He also noticed when she mentioned that her Muggle friend knew about magic. Harry almost asked her about it, but decided it wasn't the right time to bring up the subject yet. Although he knew some Muggles, he had never revealed to them that he was a wizard; on the contrary, he always took great caution in such situations. He noticed how the girl introduced herself in a friendly and practical way, possessing great manners. She stated her name and simplified it: Evaline Valerie Hawthorne, a very beautiful name, he thought to himself.
I'm Harry! Harry Brandador

He answered the girl in an equally friendly manner.
-That's a very beautiful name! -
he continued to talk to the girl
-And by the way, that Niffler almost managed to steal from you; your necklace nearly broke. It must have escaped from Care of Magical Creatures class. Nifflers are fascinating creatures, even if they can be a bit inconvenient sometimes, but if you know how to handle one, they can be quite useful! -
Harry quickly glanced at the other girl next to Evie.
-And you? -
"asked the girl with emerald green eyes politely."

" Please to make your acquaintance, Harry!" Evaline said, extending her right hand out to him, while keeping her left interlinked with Jada, and holding the parasol at a jaunty angle.

" Why, thank you!", she added, tilting her head slightly. Her name was one of her favorite things about her. It was dramatic, excessive and chaotic. Like her!

Evaline laughed demurely, " Yes, the niffler was quite...ambitious. But, aren't we all?"

Her dark green cat-like eyes quickly scanned their surroundings as if checking for nifflers.
" I- uh- do not have perchance for the little rascals." The parasol titled, casting a faint shadow over her pale face, making her look slightly foreboding and ominous.
She muttered under her breath, pushing a strand of pink-black hair from her face. Ugh! Does her headband not work? She tore the damned thing out of her hair and tossed it behind her shoulder without looking. Useless things had no place with her, whatsoever. Now her hair was a great mess. Not that it mattered much to her. She didn't care how unkempt she looked. Not really. There were far more intriguing things to focus on. Besides, dishevelment suited her just fine, and matched the haphazard rhythm of her thoughts.

Jada snapped her attention back to the conversation at hand. She’d zoned out for a moment, having been distracted by the flitting shadow of a passing bird. It was a reflex, whenever something blocked her from the sun for only a moment, it was instinctive for her to assume something was falling hence leading her to snap her attention to it or to duck.

Sorry, she apologized before quickly gathering herself, I’m Jada, Jada Blake

She loosened her arm away from Evie’s momentarily to pull her hair back, twisting it into a simple bun at the base of her neck and tucked a stray strand behind her hair. She asked them do either of you actually know the way to the kitchens? She’d heard rumors of a painting near the hufflepuff common room, but nothing really concrete yet. It was enough to know the general direction but there rest was still a mystery to her.

I only know that it’s in the cellar somewhere, near the Hufflepuff common room. now she thought about it, maybe they should have asked someone for directions before leaving. Oh well, too late now, it would become their little adventure. Perhaps we should start there.

Okay, if it's near the Hufflepuff common room then I can take us to the surrounding area. I passed by there with some Hufflepuffs; obviously I didn't go into the room, but we can get to the castle's basement; the kitchen should be down there.
Harry said this after Jada pointed out that the kitchen was near the basement, where the Hufflepuff common room was located. With some investigation, Harry knew they could find the kitchen; Harry knew that both it and the common room were hidden in that area.
I heard there are many house-elves working in the kitchen, and I know they're enthusiastic about service. Imagine how many things they'll offer us when we get there!

My parents told me stories about many places in Hogwarts, but they didn't tell me how to access them. They said I would have to discover them on my own. They probably only told me this to encourage me and influence me to look for them independently. I've already explored many areas of the castle, but it's simply too large to find most of these places. I only managed to learn some paths between the classrooms, the Ravenclaw tower, and some paths around the castle where I walked this morning.
Said the boy while chatting with the girls on their way to the basement where the Hufflepuff common room and the secret kitchen were located.
