Sonya grinned as a couple more people walked in. The first was Elena. They were in band together and she was a great instrumentalist. "Hey Elena," she greeted after she walked in. She liked Elena and wanted to get to know her better. She always seemed pretty approachable, maybe Sonya could try to hang out with her sometime.

Sonya looked back to the door as another person walked in. It was a boy, unlike everyone in the room at the moment. He was Henry, who hadn't auditioned because he had joined a bit late. She didn't know much about him because he hadn't auditioned, but she was determined get to know everyone soon. "Hi Henry," she smiled. The boy looked around the room, seeming to be analyzing everything. Sonya was glad they seemed to be having a decent turnout to the meeting. She'd wait a bit longer to see if anyone else would show up.

Sonya was lost in thought for a bit, thinking of something that would start a conversation. She wanted to get to know everyone better and see what kinds of theater everyone here liked. "Who here likes musicals?" she asked enthusiastically. Musicals were one of her favorite things and always loved to talk about them with people who shared her interests.

Henry'd send a wave over to Sonya. He was immensely happy that he was starting to learn faces through the clubs that he's doing.

He was throwing himself into everything in order to try and get the best experience out of Hogwarts. Of course, if his studies get in the way then he'd take a hiatus since studies always come first. Maybe that's why he was put into Ravenclaw, now he thought about it.

At the mention of musicals, he'd perk up, leaning forward on his seat to look back at Sonya. Henry had grown up watching older musicals like Annie Get Your Gun, The Sound of Music and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He just loved the range of songs and usually cringy acting. Although his siblings at put together for his tenth birthday and him and his eldest sister went to watch Matilda in London. He loved the theatre and couldn't choose what exactly he loved most; maybe the atmosphere of excitement and wonder, or the bright lights and blasting music making you forget you were sat amongst loads of other people.

"I do. I've only ever seen Matilda live but I've watched quite a lot either on YouTube or on DVD- though I'm unsure as to whether they're as popular in the wizarding world? Or do they have different ones?"
He was eager to learn if there was any differences or whether he could gush over the romance between Maria and Captain Von Trapp with the girls.

Sonya smiled when the boy said he liked musicals. She figured that the people who signed up would but she still felt excitement in hearing that people shared interests with her. "I'm honestly not that sure," she said in response to the question about wizards and musicals, "I've never heard of a musical that was only made in the wizarding world." She had only seen musicals in the muggle world and was now interested in the subject. She could ask someone who possibly knew a bit later. She was just so glad to be having a conversation about musicals.

"I've seen several shows live, I have family in New York City," she smiled, "Let's see... a few of my favorites to see were West Side Story, Les Miserables, and Falsettos. It's so hard to choose a favorite musical though." She had seen many shows in New York with her cousins and it was always an enjoyable experience. Although shows weren't always the most affordable and didn't go around everywhere in the world, nothing compared to seeing a live musical. Everyone was just so talented and Sonya loved to appreciate all the actors. "What are some of your favorites?" she asked.

Guess I'll just double post since nobody else has :sweatingbullets: Just ignore my previous post.

They were five minutes past the time the meeting was supposed to start, so Sonya decided to begin the meeting. "Ok everyone," she started, "It's time to begin the meeting! Since there's not a lot of you let's stick to just one row of chairs." She had hoped more people would show but it was a casual club and they didn't have to come to all the meetings. People could be running late as well. It was a small group today, which was a bit disappointing but it would probably work out well for getting to know each other.

Sonya stood up from her chair at the front of the room and began to speak. "As you call hopefully know I'm Sonya Carlson and I'll be running this club," she introduced herself, but knew the people here already knew who she was as she had seen them all before at the auditions. "In today's meeting we won't be doing anything super serious. We'll just be going over a few things we may do in the year and getting to know each other," she explained. She hoped she didn't sound too boring. She wanted everyone to be exited for the club to start and make new friends. "How about we go around the room and say our names and something about yourself. I'll start!" Sonya said enthusiastically, "As I already said, I'm Sonya Carlson. Something about myself is... my favorite Shakespeare play is As You Like It," she gestured to whoever was sitting at the end of a row, "You can go next!"

Of course you can still join Stella!
Sonya had just finished speaking when someone else came bursting into the room with a loud slam of the doors. Whoever it was was in a rush. Maybe they were here for the club? She looked to the back and it was Stella, a fellow Hufflepuff. The girl looked like kind of a mess from running into the room so quickly. Sonya was just glad that she had shown up, at this point lateness didn't really matter to her. She had seen Stella a couple times and she seemed like she'd make a good addition to the club.

"Hello Stella," Sonya smiled, "You haven't missed much. We're just starting introductions, you can go first! Just say your name and one thing about you."

She was glad that Stella had shown up when she did because most of the kids wouldn't want to start the introductions. She felt slightly bad for putting her friend on the spot, but someone had to start it. Stella just so happened to walk in just at the moment she needed someone to go. She smiled and waited for a response from Stella. Sonya couldn't wait to get to know everyone!

Harley was quietly reading in his bed. He had yet to get out of bed, seeing how he had nothing schedule in the morning. He continued reading, until he felt a feeling. It nagged Harley until he decided to get his remembrall. He opened his drawer, and searched. When Harley finally dug it out, it filled with red fog. He stared at it until he remembered.

THE CLUB!

How could he forget something he had been most eager to join. He went back to the drawer and frantically looked for his mirror. Harley needed to look at least a BIT presentable. While looking, he found his hair brush and some muggle mints.

Finally, he found it! He looked into the hand mirror and cringed. His hair stuck out in every way, his teeth were obviously not brushed, eye bags under his eyes were present, and he looked like an blasted inferi. It was worse than he thought. He cast a tempus, to check just how much time he had. About half an hour... So, he quickly chose some decent clothes and ran to the nearest bathroom, while brushing his hair.
~~~
Around twenty minutes later, Harley emerged looking a tad bit better. His hair was still sticking out, but a bit more tame, and clothes were a mess, but it was better than coming in his pajama's.
"Tempus." 10 minutes left... He would never make it in time. The rehearsal room was four floors away. But, if he ran, then that would be a different story. He ran and ran, even while going up the stairs. His legs were tired, but he was so close! He spotted a girl quickly entering the rehearsal room, looking almost as horrible as him. Harley was certain he looked much worse than her.
When he reached the door, he paused. He was sweaty, and his body breath smelled horrid. Harley popped the muggle mint from earlier in his mouth. Since he didn't shower, he used a charm his mother always used when going to parties. It made her smell good, so he decided to use it on himself. But sadly, he didn't know the spell to dry his sweat yet.
"Unguentum," he whispered, while pointing the wand at himself. Then he opened the door, and calmly
-more like snobbishly- walked in. He saw Sonya open her mouth, but hushed her. "I am aware of the state I am in, and that I am late. Do not ask any questions. You may proceed."
What he didn't know, is that the charm made him smell flowers. The smell of lilies would fill their noses if they got close enough to Harley.
Rowan wanted to throttle the pure blood that had just walked in ahead of him. First he gets in his way by standing infront of the door, worrying over his appearance, then he interrupts the girl.
Alright so what if he woke up every day looking near perfect, and didn’t know the struggle of worrying over appearance? The other male didn’t need to stand in his way to preen. Though... He was a pureblood as well. He remembered when he had that snobbish arrogance.
So he’d give the male a rain check. This one time. He’d tell him off next time, which he was sure was going to occur.
“Pardon me, would you mind moving?”
He said in an even tone, as polite as he could make it. He couldn’t go another way, the other pathways had stairs infront of them. Stupid wheelchair. Though the other male also had decided to stop for some reason before he had even sat down in one of the rows. Hopefully everyone in this club wasn’t like him, otherwise there were gonna be some serious problems. But he was backstage, thankfully, so he wouldn’t have to deal with the talent too often. He’d actually probably get to tell them what to do every once and awhile.
Riley peeked his head into the rehearsal room. The meeting was already underway, so he slipped in as quietly as he could. Somehow he had managed to oversleep, but he was happy he at least made it there at all. The door closed a little louder than he had wanted it to, and nervously bit his lip as people looked at him.
"I am so sorry I'm late...." He apologized awkwardly, spotting Rowan and walking over to sit in the seat next to his chair.
Riley looked a little bit disheveled, but that was only because he had just rolled out of bed. He had completely forgotten about the meeting today, and only really remembered thanks to his Remembrall sitting on the desk next to his bed. If it was not for that magical device, he probably would not be there.
"Funny seeing you here." He whispered to the boy sitting next to him before looking around the room. He saw another familiar face and smiled awkwardly at Henry, looking back at Rowan before relaxing in his seat. Riley was super excited about the meeting, and he could not wait to get to know the other students in the room.
Sonya was just about to start icebreakers when yet another latecomer entered. It was Harley, a Slytherin boy she felt was quite rude but let into the club to see if something could bring out a good side in him. He strutted in snobbishly and she gave a barely audible sigh when he stoped in front of her and essentially announced that he was late. Was there really a need for that? She wondered what his issue was. As he spoke she noticed a boy in a wheelchair behind Harley and asked him to move. Sonya stepped to the side, making room and hoping Harley would follow. "That's fine," she said attempting a smile that ended up looking pretty forced, "You can sit there." She gestured to an empty seat in the front row.
"I guess we-" she started to speak before another latecomer entered and apologized for his lateness. "It's okay," Sonya said, glad he was being polite at least. "Anyway," she continued on, "We'll skip the icebreakers for now. There may be more latecomers. Let me tell you a little about the club. We'll be looking over lots of different forms of theater throughout these meetings. I also made this club so people who are interested in theater could form friendships so there will be a lot of group work and I hope you all can get to know each other. Umm.. Does anyone have any questions?"
Her chest heaving, her muscles burning, and her shoes squeaking against the slick floor, Koko swerved into the Rehearsal Room. She was so, so, so late. Maybe even too late. She peeked inside to see students gathering. She finally stepped into the room, trying to blend in, but with her luck likely only drawing more attention to herself. ”Hi, sorry I’m late!” Koko peeped, and then she finally searched for a place she could hide. While she enjoyed being in the spotlight, it was only when she knew what she was doing; when she was playing a role. Other times it was just an annoyance that made her want to crawl into a hole and die. Okay, maybe less of an annoyance. Maybe a bit of a fear.
She made her way to a girl with black-blue hair who looked as if she wouldn’t say too much. Stella, was that her name? Maybe. Koko knew it started with an S. Koko sat cross-legged in the floor, gazing indifferently at the club leader as she rattled on, explaining about the club and the rules. While Koko was fine with it, she really did want to get up—not that she was forced to sit down, by any means. She wouldn’t let someone do that. Instead of standing and perhaps drawing more eyes to her (of which she hoped none were looking), she drummed her fingers in the table, her half-lidded, tired hazel eyes seeming very weary. She finally just leaned back and watched with hardly any expression on her face, but the one that formed was one of slight worry.
I can still join, right?
