Feeling Lowe but I got Hugh PV Finished

Serena's eyes turned to stare intently at the young boy as he chose not to tell her. "Why? Who are you protecting?" She asked, her firm glare clear that she wanted an answer. She deserved to know who would spread rumours about her. She had the right to question the person who did this or tell them to stop.

The Hufflepuff sighed as the boy continued to talk. She returned her gaze to the lake, shooting daggers at it as though she wanted to soak up all of the water and leave it empty. "That's dumb." She replied after he finished talking, not quite agreeing with his logic. It was true that just because a rumour was told, it didn't make it true. However, that was the issue. When lies were spread, people still believed them and then the lie was more widely believed than the truth. She also disagreed with his logic that as long as someone was willing to talk to you, you 'must be okay'. There were ways to be alone even when the whole room was talking to you. Serena did not have trouble finding someone to talk to. She had trouble finding someone to genuinely trust, after everyone seemed to break that. "You don't have to be okay just because one person is willing to talk to you." She replied, explaining what she thought was dumb.

Serena shrugged a little, "Why is that surreal or... I don't know... Why it is surprising? Wasn't there a fight in this school during the war?" She asked, going back to the days of the famous Harry Potter and the Dark Lord he fought. Her older brother told her about the fact that Hogwarts had a huge battle on the grounds before she started, perhaps in an attempt to scare her. It was a shame that he turned out to be right. Danger still lurked on the grounds, it seemed. "B- The uh student attacked other students in the school... It wasn't the first time we've faced danger and it sure as hell won't be the last. At least this wasn't his fault." The Hufflepuff continued. The campout, for example, was definitely worse than Ben and his story. This was, at the very least, unintentional - apparently.

"I just think you shouldn't go after him. It'll only make things worse I believe. I'm sure Parcel did not-" His eyes widened as he had mentioned the Gryffindor boy's name. In an overwhelming sense of sadness and disappointment he et his shoulders hang. "Oh.. well that was stupid.."

He was a bit set back for being called dumb. Maybe the Hufflepuff wasn't as nice as she appeared to be at first. He stared at her with his green murky eyes piercing through from under his furrowed brow. "Okay then.. sorry I tried to help." He offered her a moment of silence. Mainly because he needed to swallow his pride and not start shouting like a little baby. Eventually he broke loose again.

"And it is quite surprising yes, most schools don't see this much violence and conflict. It's really scary." He hugged both his knees as he rested his head on them. "There's not a lot I know of this wizarding world. I am still trying to figure it out. Imminent danger is not helping the way you put it." His face grew weary as he looked over the large fields of grass. The wind still blowing through his long dark brown hair.

He noticed he was not really helping the girl at all. A silly attempt on his part really. He got back up on his feet and looked down towards the little girl. Tall as he was, there was a significant contrast between the two of them. "I am sorry if I did waste ye time Serena. I think I've embarrassed myself enough for today." he smiled softly as he attempted to leave without slipping.

Serena's eyes narrowed as the boy slipped up. Parcel. Parcel, Parcel, Parcel... Gryffindor... It took her a few seconds and then she realised who it was. That was that Myth boy, right? It was like a lightbulb flashed over her head. She had watched him duel once and tried to help him but he seemed terrified of her and ran away... Perhaps because of this? Furrowing her eyebrows in irritation, she tried to figure out if she had met him otherwise. That was her first real encounter of him, as far as she was aware so she had no idea why he would make up this rumour and spread it. Perhaps it was something Siege had said. They did, after all, share a house - and maybe even a dorm. Her teeth clenched together the more she thought about it, annoyed at the Gryffindor boys. Well... at least at the third years.

It became painfully clear to her that she had taken out her frustrations on a Gryffindor boy that had done nothing wrong. His words shook her a little. She paused and sighed softly after a couple of minutes of silence. Shaking her head, "No, no... Don't be..." She replied as he apologised for trying to help. Serena strongly believed that trying to help someone was never wrong, so she did not want him to feel that way. Every time she tried to help, she made matters worse... But it was not wrong of her to want to help. That was a good quality, right? That was a nice thing...surely? "I'm sorry." She continued, aware that perhaps she had just been way too harsh on the younger boy. "Don't ever be sorry for trying to help someone..." She explained, guilt clearly visible on her face.

Standing up, Serena grabbed her stuff, "You did nothing wrong, Hugh Lowe." She replied, trying to commit his name to memory, "I apologise for making you think otherwise." With that, she turned and made her way back to the castle. As she was leaving, she rubbed her face on her sleeve, trying to get rid of all of the tears that had started to fall from her eyes again. Those rotten boys. She was in far too much of a bad mood to be nice to Hugh and leaving was just the nicest thing she could do, at this point.
