Hearing her friend reply, she immediately understood how much sense it made for her to figure it out so easily. “So, the ‘V’ shape is the horn, I suppose.” She chuckled.
Wandered eyes followed Rose's hand again. Outstanding bluish-white star was brinking in rhythm, as a pulse of the heart beat. Shaking her head side to side genuinely answered that she had no idea what this star called. The longer she looked at it. The longer it takes to communicate with the star. She felt like it was pulling her with some light, mysterious sentiment. A small face then turned to her friend, still mesmerised by the brightest spark in the night sky. The way her friend admired her knowledge was as beautiful as how she interpreted it. It left one question for Skylar to think about herself if she looked similar to this when she tended the plants. Yet, a wider peaceful perspective her friend had was still prettier than how she saw the nature around her.
“The stars can’t shine without darkness, right?” She smiled.
She never thought that she could see nature as a belief and hope. The way she had with plants was like something that comforted her, and some tools to fulfill her eagerness of learning more than a beautiful anchor lucky charm.
“My viewpoint narrowed than yours.” She gazed up afar. “I always focus on how lonely I was, and I just used the plants to comfort me more than focusing on how plants could bring my innocent soul back to what I had believed.”
She turned to Rose again, eyes overwhelmed with thankfulness and gentleness. “But I just changed that thought today because of you.” She then glanced up to the sky with a tug of her lips once more.

"Yes exactly the horn and the head." Rose confirmed to her friend.
Rose thought Skylar acquired a taste to stargaze and how to do it. Rose was smiling as she looked back at the stars in the sky. She remembered back home when she was stargazing with her brother. As far as she can recall it seems to her as if she had always stargazed. She couldn't know when she actually started to do it. But it was with her brother every time. Maybe that was him who made her stargaze for the first time? She had no idea. However one thing she was certain about was that she did enjoy a lot stargazing and she couldn't imagine not doing it anymore in her life. Even after her brother left to Hogwarts she kept stargazing although she was alone -well with her dog-. And maybe she got what Skylar meant about her focusing on how lonely she was and that plants were her comfort. At some it might have been the same to Rose. Stars might be her comfort as well with the difference that the light the stars were bringing was giving her a warmth feeling hence a sense of hope.
"Of course stars need darkness to shine but that's what gives it all its meaning. The darkest the brightest. It's to remind us that even when you think it's really dark and you have no hope and no light to lead you it is not true and that it will be brighter. Stars do. In that way we can too." told Rose not sure it was making sense but she was understanding herself.
Maybe she was foolish to be that optimistic but she was believing in what she was saying. It was also her way for her not to let loneliness and negative thoughts invading her as she knew it could be easily done. She had no will for it to be that way again.
Skylar was a dear friend to her so she didn't want her to feel lonely, sad or have any negative thoughts in the pretty head of hers that could turn her mood down. So when Skylar explained her point of view which was different from Rose's and said she changed her thoughts afterwards Rose's heart warmed up. Of course Skylar was free to think and to believe in what she wanted to but if it were to hurt her or make her sad Rose was glad she changed it into more positive thoughts.
"What do you wish the most for, Skylar?" Rose asked on a calm tone her eyes sparkling while looking up at the sky.
She was feeling peaceful a gentle smile on her lips.

Skylar's unmindful eyes drifted away in the wind as thin as her breath. She went through her thoughts. What do you wish the most for, Skylar? Rose's voice duplicated and repeated the same tone in her mind. The real wish that came from her heart was always inside within her younger self, never changed, never faded away.
The most she desired more than anything in the world was to be loved by her family. Dreaming of being someone her parents could be proud of. Craving for her family's caring and affection, like other kids, was the most wish of them all. But her honesty had been hidden well in her darkest soul. Looking at her friend's bright eyes, she had been too vulnerable for one day, and she didn’t want to ruin the nice time just to let out her depression to feel better alone.
Skylar pushed her hands up in the air. The tips of her thumbs and the pointy fingers of each hand reached toward each other. Touching and forming into a square shape with the starlight scene in between.
“I wish… the shooting star will show up right now,” She closed one eye, and the other one focus in a middle space between her hands. “I wish… I can see it from this view.” She chuckled.
Skylar glanced at her friend, hoping the girl would join her in using her handmade camera together. A small laugh of hers started to become contagious. Then, suddenly, something actually fell down from the sky.
“Rose, look!”
Her eyes lit up with sparkle reflecting the sight of the star sea, not even the cold could distract her from it. This was the first time she felt hopeful like her friend did. A wonderful night had answered her wish in a mysterious way. And maybe… maybe she could believe that her dream can be true somehow. This was the real magic of everything she could wish for.

Skylar stayed silent as if she was thinking of Rose's question. Rose didn't say anything and let her friend take her time to answer. Even if she were not answering today that would be alright. Some people haven't thought of what they wish the most for.
Rose looked at the brightest star Sirius while she was thinking.
As for her that was probably the case she was not sure what she was wishing for the most. Perhaps what she could even wish for wouldn't be for herself but for others. Rose tended to think more about others than herself putting them before herself. It was like she felt obliged to do it not that she was not happy doing it on the contrary she was glad to make others smile and knowing they were happy because of her but she was feeling almost bad to let herself being first when others were involved.
However who was making her smile? Was she receiving the same amount she was giving? Rose was not sure at least not before meeting the people she has met at Hogwarts.
Back home at school she often felt used or people were taking advantage of her kindness. Still she couldn't see bad in it and thought it was almost normal until the day she had given away her favourite bracelet. Her brother seeing no bracelet at her wrist anymore asked her if she had lost it. When Rose told him she gave it to a so-called friend because she said it was pretty and wanted the same her brother explained her she didn't need to be that kind to anyone who was only taking advantage of it. That day Rose cried a lot as she would never see her bracelet again. She was young but now she was understanding better. Her brother was right. Of course Rose doesn't want to become mean as it's something she can't really do but perhaps she has become more cautious of the people around her.
Suddenly she was taking out of her thoughts when she saw Skylar's hands forming a handmade camera as she answered to wish for a shooting star to appear. Rose smiled and slightly laughed at the view of her friend although she was doubting it was Skylar's dearest wish. But if her friend didn't want to tell her at least now she was respecting her choice. However Rose hoped Skylar knew she wouldn't be judged or anything.
Rose was laughing with Skylar as she joined her doing a handmade camera the starry sky as a background.
"You know I actually have a camera at home. Well it's not mine so I couldn't take it with me. Sadly." she told her friend. "Otherwise I would have captured this moment." Rose added. She was feeling so happy.
She was looking in between her hands forming a rectangle as she saw a light falling really quick. Rose was about to tell Skylar but her friend was faster.
"Yes I saw it!!!" she said all excited.
"Skylar make a wish! Quick!" she told her friend as she grabbed her hand remembering her friend has always been waiting for a shooting star to show up.
Rose was happy Skylar was finally able to see a shooting star.

Surprisingly, with the biggest smile, Skylar learned her friend had a camera. Even though the girl couldn’t bring it, she kept wondering what pictures had taken with those pretty, smart eyes. It must be something wonderful.
“Yeah, that was sad indeed.” She spoke in a low, masculine voice and added. “But don’t be worried. I already kept it in here.” She pointed to her chest as she smirking teasing her friends. She then turned back to the view with a small laugh. It was kind of lame to act like someone in a romance novel, but it was funny to her since she suspected her friend's love interest, but was not sure how to bring up the topic, so she had done it that way.
However, interrupted by the excitement of the sight of the shooting star, Rose already grabbed her hand, encouraging her to make a wish. Her eyelids closed immediately, feeling the warmth from her friend.
“I wish…” She took a long inhale and paused for a moment to her thoughts. It was clear what her first wish was, so she came to her second wish quickly. ‘I wish our bond would never be broken, and stay like this until we grow old and die.’ She smiled as she held her friend's hand tightly. ‘And, I wish my family would love my friend as I do.’
She let out her small breath and opened her eyes again. Looking at her friend, still making her wish, she couldn’t help but quietly watch Rose and smile. It might be weird to other people if they see someone adore their friend too much like this. But Skylar never had a best friend before.
A part of her dream was always to be loved by family and to have a true friend. Yet, her antisocial behavior always kept her guard up for everyone who tried to intervene in her life. But, it changed after Rose became her first friend, whom she couldn’t believe she could have a bond this strong. That’s why she treasured her friend more than anything she wanted.
“What did you wish for?, Rose” She asked her friend when the girl opened her eyes.

Rose was looking at Skylar and how her friend was smiling. She wish she could have captured that moment in "her" camera. Skylar was so pretty looking like an angel and even more when she was smiling. Rose hoped for her to keep smiling as much as she could and if she could contribute to make her friend smile more she would. Rose didn't know all about Skylar's story but only a part of it and from what Skylar had told her about she hoped for her friend not to feel what she may have felt in the past.
Rose promised herself she will remain to Skylar's side and will keep on cheering her up and make her smile.
"Once I will have my own camera I will capture every moment spent together." she whispered to herself.
Then Skylar teased her friend saying she captured the moment in her heart as Rose suspected it not to be fully about the camera thing. She noticed her friend didn't pursue more on it as she was doing her wish. Rose calmly and patiently looked at Skylar still holding her hand before the latter opened her eyes again. Rose was smiling.
"I hope your wish will come true." she said her eyes filled with kindness and sincerity. Of course she was not going to ask Skylar her wish for it to come true.
Rose then recalled Skylar teasing.
"Don't make fun of me!" she said laughing as her cheeks were slightly blushing.
"I know what you meant." she paused as she felt her cheeks warmed up. "Hum...It's not much...I mean...Not like what you believe...It's not..." she was stumbling over her words making it incomprehensible as she turned slightly red by now looking away.
She didn't mind telling everything to Skylar but she was still feeling shy about it as it was even new to her so she was not sure what to say about it or how to explain it. Surely her friend would understand and actually could even help her with it. To calm herself down Rose looked up at the sky again as she breathed out mist appearing in front of her. It was a cold night yet Rose was not feeling any coolness in her body instead rather warmth. The moment she was spending with Skylar was the most ordinary one still she would remember it for a long time. She was feeling happy from little things hoping for it to last forever. Rose was taken out of her thoughts when Skylar asked her she had wished for.
Rose turned to Skylar mischief in her light green eyes.
"It wouldn't happen if I told you." she smiled.
Actually Rose wished for Skylar to only feel happiness from now on and never ever feel loneliness. She wanted to remain by her side to ensure it. Rose didn't have any biggest wish than this one. In just some weeks Skylar has become one of the closest person to her with whom she had built such a strong and deep bond as surprising as it was unexpected. But she was thankful and glad for it as she was cherishing this friendship and her friend a lot so that it would continue.

Looking as Rose murmured to herself, Skylar chuckled and nodded to the girl. “I’ll make sure to be in every frame of your picture when you get the camera.” A small breath was let out shortly. She smiled and turned back to admire the stars.
After finishing making her wish, she was quietly enjoying watching Rose making the pray. Then, the girl seemed about to open her eyes. Skylar quickly closed her eyelids and pretended to be still, making her wish either. When her friend wished her wish to be true, she then glanced to the side. The corner of her lips raised up a bit, yet she was still smiling gently. “I wish yours too.”
According to Rose’s personality, she always cared for others and gave a positive, light vibe to everyone. So, whatever was in her friend's mind, she knew it would surely be a great thing. She genuinely hoped the wish could fulfill her friend’s desire one day.
Seeing Rose's cheek blushing from the cold, she couldn’t let it go unslighted. She began to tease her friend again. “I saw your face was a bit red after making a wish. I doubt some boy was on your mind then?” She giggled.
Rose seemed nervous as she laughed with a bit of embarrassment on her face. The way her friend stumbled spoke to her was so adorable that she couldn’t stop laughing.
It happened when she was in class, seeing her friend acting differently from what she remembered. She started to be curious about what made her friend nervous and avoid eye contact. The more she observed, the more she figured out how and why. So, some part of this stargazing purpose was also to bring this topic up for her friend to feel comfortable enough to talk about this kind of thing to her.
“It’s alright. I won’t question anything further. I am just happy to see you got butterfly by something…” She paused and winked with one eye. “Or… someone”
She then glanced up straight at the round moon shining bright in the dark. “But if you have anything disturbing your mind too much, and want to talk to someone. I’ll be by your side.” She turned to her friend with a light, honest eye once more.
Even though Skylar didn’t know anything about romance, she still promised to be there for her friend. She knew she couldn’t give that kind of advice, but at least she was good at listening and caring for the girl.
As Rose refused to tell Skylar her wish because it wouldn’t come true. She acknowledged her with a small chuckle. “That’s fair. I won’t tell mine either.” Her pale face reflected the light from the ice glass. “But I have hope now, hoping the star will bless my wish again.”
The phrase recalled her belief. It was funny to see herself was a narrow person before, but only one night could change her way of thinking. This was a truly memorable time for her.

Although Rose felt shy from Skylar's teasing she still wanted to talk about it with her as it was the kind of things she wanted to share with her best friend. Plus Skylar too may have some things she would like telling her friend. Inside she was laughing at how they might be looking from afar and seeing Skylar laughing that much was warming Rose's heart as she couldn't stop looking at her saying herself she really wished Skylar's wish would realise.
At the mention of her face turning red and the reason for it Rose turned towards Skylar smirking her eyes full of mischief.
"Me turning red?" she asked "It's only because of coolness." she slightly laughed.
However Skylar was not wrong and Rose would gladly yet subtly talking about it. She appreciated Skylar saying she won't ask further not to push her. She smiled not out of malice this time but kindness and gratefulness from her friend.
"You know you can ask me whatever you want to." Rose paused looking at the starry stars especially the bright one Sirius.
"Actually some times I may want people to ask me about things going on my life rather than me telling it. As you know it's a bit kind of egocentric talking about yourself when other don't ask about you." she said laughing a bit of embarrassed at what she was saying. It could be perceived as weird thinking but Rose was sometimes uncomfortable talking about her life and things related to it when it wasn't asked.
"So if you want to know I can and will tell you." she smiled at her friend.
"I would be more than happy to share things with you." she added with a mischievous smile indicating her friend she could ask any questions she may have.
This time spent together was also the opportunity for them to share more about themselves to each other. Rose smiled back at Skylar when she mentioned she will be by Rose's side if she had too much on her mind. Rose was appreciating this side of Skylar always looking out for her.
"I will thank you." she looked towards the sky before adding.
"Same goes for you too. I hope you know it." Rose smiled still looking at the sky.
After some time since Skylar's last words and Rose letting out a silence she finally spoke again.
"May our respective wishes come true." Rose only said smiling towards Skylar this time. Really meaning her words.

Skylar was laughing as her eye watery up. It came out of joy, not anger. She was surprised by her friend's choice of words to joke her back. “I didn’t see that coming. That was a good one,” she wiped out her tears with her sleeve.
Rose turned her face to watch the star again. She then followed her friend's head to look up. It was still mesmerising. The constellation she found twinkling its light gave her pride. While she was quietly enjoying it, her friend started to explain her thoughts that the girl wasn’t displeased if she asked her more about her life. Skylar smiled, gladly to hear how her friend trusted her enough to share these kind of things. A little face slowly nodded as she understood what Rose meant.
“Then…” She expressed her smile gently, and her eyes genuine curious at the girl. “Could you tell me what happened with you and that Hufflepuff boy?” She arched her eyebrow. “Am I read you right that you seem to really feel something for him?”
That was a straight question, but it was out of care, not out of the blue. Skylar felt so much trust from her, and she hoped Rose could feel that she trusted her too. Whatever Rose shared, she wasn’t just going to tell anyone. Even she didn’t have a best friend before, but she knew what common sense of being a good friend was. She was by Rose's side to listen and encourage the girl. That was the least kind thing that a friend can do for a friend.
After Rose and her got back to silence once more, admiring the rhythm of the night light in the darkness. The cold wind still softly touched her skin. Skylar glanced at her friend as the girl prayed for the wish to come true again. A tug of her lips was raised before she gazed back at the ocean stars.
“I wish I could thank you in person whoever sent me a wonderful friend.” She felt too overwhelmed by her own words, and she couldn’t hold her emotions anymore. Then, she turned back to Rose.
“Do you want to know why I was so lonely back home?”

Rose was calming herself from laughter with Skylar who was almost crying for laughing too much. Rose really appreciated this kind of moment spent with friends. And that was one she wanted to spend with her best friend. She was thinking about all the upcoming moments they could be able to spend together when Skylar asked the awaited question although Rose felt her cheeks blushing. Especially at the second part of the question she felt suddenly really shy as she looked towards Skylar then down.
"Well... There is not much as it is mostly coming from me...." her cheeks were rosy red.
"So yes you read me well.. too well I suppose." she said smiling.
"But even me I'm not sure I don't know well what is it, what I feel." she looked back up at the sky.
It was true she was not sure she didn't even know well what she was exactly feeling. Although she was shy and feeling a bit embarrassed to talk about it Skylar may help her figuring it out.
"But is it that obvious?" she suddenly asked Skylar a bit of worry in her eyes as she didn't want other people to notice.
She sighed looking at Sirius.
"It's silly but when you have someone who wants to know you is curious about you encourage you and make you feel that you can trust this person it's hard not to feel shaken up. Even more when you enjoy it and appreciate this person." she lowered her head feeling her cheeks warming as she slightly chuckled.
"It's the first time I'm feeling like this for someone. It's all new to me maybe explaining also why I can't know well what it is." she sighed.
"But maybe you can help me figuring it out." Rose's light green eyes turned to Skylar. They were showing both trust and worry.
Once silence came back as Rose was looking back to the starry sky Skylar's comment made Rose turned her head towards her friend eyes widening almost getting watery.
"Me too." Rose just answered Skylar before she asked an unexpected question.
"I don't want to force you to tell me or that you feel obliged to tell. Of course if you want to I will listen to you." Rose told her friend while holding her hand and looking at her.
