Kira's turquoise eyes widened as the majestic creature stepped out of the bush and came into view. A unicorn. Amazing. The magical horse had a shimmering white coat, and a velvety, flowing white mane that made Kira twinge with slight jealousy. Why couldn't her hair be as nice and well maintained as the unicorn's?

Her wand was still raised towards the unicorn, as she was too distracted with marvelling at the sheer beauty and elegance the unicorn had. She should really count herself and the Hufflepuff girl beside her lucky to have ever come across one. Unicorns are known as one of nature's purest and most beautiful magical creatures, both in the wizarding and Muggle world. As such, the slaying of one is considered a terrible crime and doing so carries terrible consequences. Kira should know, as she remembers an old tale of her mother's about a man going to Azkaban for the crime of slaying a unicorn for its blood.

She stared at the unicorn in wonder, but before she could so much as step towards the magical creature, a calm voice from behind the two snapped her out of the wandering trance the unicorn had put her in, causing her to whip around towards the sound. The sudden force of her body moving caused Kira's wand to slip past her slim fingers and smack the unknown new comer.

Chloe watched the unicorn move, in awe at how absolutely beautiful it was. She admired the mane, the tail, the horn. She looked from the unicorn to the girl before she heard another voice. She gasped, turning around and seeing the boy who walked up behind them.

"I-we.." She stammered, trying to find words. She examined the boy's robes before she answered, making sure he wasn't a prefect or a head boy. She didn't see any sign of a badge on him, so she decided it was safe for her to answer, so she shrugged at the boy.

"I wanted to explore... and go on an adventure." She smiles slightly, watching him pull leaves from his hair. "What are you doing here? This is the Forbidden Forest for a reason.." She laughs, assuming he was just lost. "You're lucky we weren't professors." She said, repeating what the girl had told her before they went in the forest.

Lucky I'm not a professor. She had been worried the entire time, nervous that they would be caught by a professor. The professors were allowed in the forest, so they might be caught and get in trouble.

Kaiser was still taking leaves off his hear when a wild wand came flying and crashing to his face. Luckily for him it hit flat across his face, the pointy end could had stuck in his eye, but this was not the case, he simply got a straight hit across his face. After rubbing his face for a moment he turned to the girl that didn't attacked him "the Forbidden Forest? Really?" he asked confused as he recovered the flying wand from the ground.

The boy looked up again and noticed the unicorn in the distance, he couldn't help but to smile, he was used to seeing magical creatures and was looking for the magical creatures the castle kept for its classes, but even when he get there he didn't expect to see a unicorn. He walked slowly toward them, not wanting to scare the marvelous creature "guess I got lost really bad this time" he continued as he extended his hand offering the attacker the wand she lost.

After a moment of consideration he snapped from his awe at the creature and turned to the girls "hey... You got here on purpose then? But isn't this place like dangerous or something?" he asked while rubbing his face, the wand had struck him harder than he thought at first.

Cheese sticks!

Kira mentally cursed, scolding herself for losing grip of her wand. What if the boy who stood a few metres away from her and the girl beside her, was an actual, life threatening, magical creature? If that was so, Kira and the other girl would have been as good as dead by now. Not that Kira would've actually stood a chance against any of those dangerous creatures with just her wand, anyway.

She winced as her wand crashed into the wizard's face, nearly stabbing him in the eye. She watched silently as he picked her wand up and slowly walked towards them, and offered her wand back. Kira reached her hand out and grasped her wand from the boy, "Thank you." She offered him a side smile, as if to say 'Sorry for that as well.'

As the boy continued to talk, Kira tilted her head.
"Yes, very dangerous apparently. But Hufflepuff and I. . ." She motioned her head to the Hufflepuff girl beside her and made a mental note to actually ask her name when she found a chance.
"Got curious as to what the professors hid in these woods. We were thinking some dragons, and maybe even Voldemort's ghost. Got any other ideas as to what lurks in here?"

Chloe nodded, laughing as the wand hit the boy's face. She was glad it didn't poke him in the eye. She shrugged at the thought of it being dangerous and laughed. "Yeah, this is the Forbidden Forest. And yes, it's supposed to be very dangerous." She laughed again at the thought of the pair seeing Voldemort's ghost. Who knows what could be in there? Voldemort did die at Hogwarts, after all.

She looked at the boy curiously. "So you didn't know this is the Forbidden Forest? How did you get lost all the way out here? What were you looking for?" She smiled at him. "You should explore with us! What's your name?" She asked when she realized she didn't know the boy- or the Slytherin's- name.

As she talked, she kept glancing behind her at the unicorn, hoping it didn't walk away. She thought it was a beautiful creature, and just wanted to pet it. She started wondering if she would be able to get close enough without it running away or trying to attack her. She looked back at the boy in front of her.

James was on his way out to the Forbidden Forest in search of mystical creatures. He didn't have care of magical creatures class yet as it was only available to third years, and had read Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them so many times he felt that he wouldn't find anymore things in that book. James entered the large, dark forest and began to look around for anything that may seem odd. "Lumos!" James said, pointing his wand upwards. A bright ball of light emitted from the slightly bended tip of his wand, and a small area around him was illuminated by the spell. James took off the noisy brown shoes he had been wearing, as he didn't want to draw any attention to himself. He placed the shoes into a bag he had with him, and walked slightly worried into the depths of the forest.

He made the decision to travel west, the direction he thought would contain the most creatures. He took out a slightly golden piece of parchment, along with a small quill. He charted his steps, as well the location and any magical creatures he saw. Initially he didn't find anything out of the ordinary, but eventually spotted a group of students with a unicorn nearby.

James hid behind a tall tree so he would not be spotted. He turned off the light emitted by the wand with the simple act of saying, "nox." He said this very quietly, so that the unicorn wouldn't run away. On the parchment, James wrote, "Unicorns." As a mental note to himself to know where curtain creatures were located. He wanted to stay as secretive as possible, however, after writing down his notes, he decided to scare away the unicorn. If he could watch which direction the unicorn went in, he could easily find a group of unicorns.

He turned away from the tree, and pointed his wand at the group of students. "What are you doing here?" James shouted, having a very enraged look in his eyes. As planned, the unicorn ran off into the distance. James observed the unicorn, and saw that it ran northwest of their current location. James walked slowly, getting closer and closer to the group of students with every step.

The idea of your character not being satisfied with the class of Care of Magical Creatures is way too unrealistic, it is impossible he knows everything about it while being a first year since it is a third year elective class. There is no way he has access to said class and even less realistic he knows everything about it.

Kaiser kept on rubbing his face for a while, at least until he heard both girls, the pain had gone but he did it instinctively now. As they finished he decided to answer their questions, starting from the easier ones  "So you didn't know this is the Forbidden Forest? How did you get lost all the way out here? What were you looking for?" the Hufflepuff girl said as she smiled at him. Kaiser smirked a half smile, his explanation will sound weird maybe even dumb, but he had to give one so "well, I am interested in the Care of Magical Creatures class but since we can not take it yes I thought I could get a look at the stables or whatever it is that they keep the creatures for said class" he started explaining, so far it didn't sound out of normal, yet "so I decided to explore a little trying to find it, and at one point I thought it could be in the forest near the castle and well, I got in and... Got lost... And then I found you" he continued, now that was the odd part, anyone would think a student could find their own way around the castle, but he had trouble so far and once in the woods, it got worse.

The boy didn't wait for a reply, it would likely be laughter, not that it was not worth a laugh, after all it was kind of silly on his part to get lost so easily, but he decided to better move on to the next question "You should explore with us! What's your name?" "I'm Kaiser, a Ravenclaw as you can see and well, yeah, that will be better than going around all alone" he said jokingly with a smile on his face. He then turned to the Slytherin girl, oddly enough his experience in Hogwarts so far had been quite different than expected, specially regarding the Slytherins, most people had a tendency to say they were annoying obnoxious guys who looked down on others and though the few members of his family that had attended the Slytherin house were not necessarily like that, he came to Hogwarts expecting such behavior and so far it had not been the case, there were a few Slytherins who behaved like that yeah, but most of them were not obnoxious snobs like he expected and this girl certainly didn't seem like that either.

"Got curious as to what the professors hid in these woods. We were thinking some dragons, and maybe even Voldemort's ghost. Got any other ideas as to what lurks in here?" she said. Dragons, now that is something he is familiar with. Kaiser looked around, the forest was dense and dark and though the trees were tall they were not as tall as they'd need to be for a dragon to be around unnoticed "well I don't know about ghosts, but Dragons I highly doubt it, the environment is not suitable for them and even if it was, they wouldn't be around without catching too much unwanted attention so I don't think we'll see Dragons around, at least not grown up ones" he explained, he might sound like a know-it-all type of guy with that explanation, but this was indeed a subject he was very familiar with.

He has just finished talking to the girls when an unknown voice shouted at them, the unicorn ran away instantly and fed up with being hit with wands and people making "threats" he pulled out his wand "Expelliarmus!" he shouted after the proper movement was executed and a white ray of light went flying to the guy who attempted to surprise them, Kaiser smiled, his practice at the Defense Against the Dark Arts class had proved successful once more as he casted the spell properly and hit the other guy in his hand stunning it, whether the wand went away flying or not was irrelevant as he would not be able to cast spells on them for the time being.

OOC: Just edited the bit about the care of magical creatures class. Thanks for the advice about that. Also, he doesn't know everything about magical creatures. In my post, I specifically said "felt." He more or less just thinks he does. Sorry if I came off as unrealistic. Thanks for the advice, though. One last thing, what exactly do you mean by "stunning it"? Do you mean my character's hand or wand, or even entire body? It's just kind of vague in my opinion. Once there's a reply to this, I'll edit my post to reflect what you said. I'm assuming it's the hand though.
Suddenly, James' lost his grip on his wand after a random boy within the small group casted the disarming spell. James' wand fell down onto the dirt of the forest, and was unable to be used at this time due to some spell the boy had preformed. James, who's hand felt odd at this particular moment, was quite angry and mad at the student who had shot a spell at him. "Use the counter curse, and I'll explain everything." James said, trying to convince the boy to undo his spell. James reached into his bag, revealing the parchment that showed the entire west portion of the forbidden forest. "I'm looking for magical creatures. I scared the unicorn away on purpose so I could find its herd. I swear to you, I mean no harm." He tried to reach for his wand, but failed in his efforts. "Please, let me go." James said, begging for mercy from his fellow student. The parchment showed mostly a set of trees, as well as a few lines to indicate James' footprints and where he had gone during his journey through the forbidden forest. His expression on his face grew more and more worried with each passing moment as he tried to find out how to get out of his current scenario.

Chloe nodded and laughed softly at Kaiser's explanation. She shrugged, agreeing with him. "I understand completely. I'd probably get lost too if I were looking for them" She smiled at him. "I'm Chloe, by the way."

She gasped as she heard a voice shout behind them. She watched the unicorn run away and turned around, seeing a boy standing there with his wand out. She pulled her wand out too, but not before Kaiser had cast Expelliarmus. She looked with wide eyes at the Slytherin girl with them, was there about to be a duel? That would be some adventure.

She watched as the boy's wand went flying out of his hand. She watched and listened as the boy begged for mercy, explaining how he had just been looking for creatures. She frowned, angry that he scared away the unicorn, even angrier that he had actually raised his wand at the group.

"So you decided to scare the unicorn by scaring us? By raising your wand at us?" She said, quite loudly. She was furious, but wasn't going to act on her anger. She would let Kaiser or the Slytherin girl decide what to do with him. Would they invite him into their group, or would he become an "enemy" of theirs?

"Not exactly?" James answered, having a worried look. "Okay, I know this sounds bad, but when we find the herd, there will be plenty of unicorns to see." James added, trying to convince the girl into possibly letting him go free. James was scared, and slightly intimated by the size of the group. He didn't mean to cause any harm, but it sure felt like he did. Just then, the shaking of bushes could be heard. At this time, James thought nothing could redeem him. James only wanted to study the magical creatures that were in the forest, not get into a whole thing about scaring a unicorn in order to find its herd. "It's lucky it even stayed here that long! It was going to run away eventually." James said, changing his attitude about the topic. He thought that begging would get him no where, so instead decided to convince the group by using facts. A slight sound came from the distance. Something that sounded like the shaking of a bush or tree. James assumed it was nothing, and continued to plead and beg for safe passage through the forest. "Okay, we sort of got of on the wrong foot. I promise, I mean no harm." James said in a final attempt to obtain the group's forgiveness. He thought that it wouldn't work, but tried once more just to make sure. He was eager to track down the unicorn, as it was his first sighting of a magical creature. If he missed his opportunity, he surely wouldn't forget it. But, if he succeeded in finding a herd of unicorns, he could proceed to study them and learn their behaviors. Maybe even take a few unicorn hairs and sell them. A lot of benefits would come from finding the mystical creature, so James didn't want to waste a single fraction of a second.
