Skylar’s expression softened as she listened to what Julia explained about her family's occupation. It must be so cool and feel so admired for a girl who has both parents specialized in investigating a crime. If the role were reversed, Skylar would look up to them like a hero too. Even though she did not know much about what crime he had committed, but it must have been serious enough to warrant such a sentence and put him there. Who knows? For a brief moment, Julia seemed to wander toward the Great Hall as more students streamed through the doors, the sound of chitchatting and laughter filling the air. It felt strange how quickly the time had gone by. Julia invited her for dinner, and Skylar quickly accepted it, not even having a second thought. “Sure, let’s go together.” She smiled again and walked along with the girl, finding a seat in the Great Hall.
