Edith frowned suddenly, thinking hard. Natasha currently had a more... reliable position, in the game. Edith's red counters were all more or less blocked, with no easy or hard ways of getting a four in a row. Edith rubbed the back of her neck. She still had to win this.

Her next go was very obvious; she had to block Natasha from getting a four vertically. What after that? Edith thought, because she always liked to skip one step ahead of a game, whether chess, connect four, Carcassone, or any other board game really.
"You're really good at this! If you were one of my friends from primary school, I would have beaten you twice by now!", "Do you play a lot of board games?" Natasha asked, and Edith smiled gratefully. It didn't really matter if she didn't win.
"Thanks!" she said shyly, "I play quite a lot. Well, I used to, in my school, because I'm not really into sports and stuff!" she laughed nervously.

After a few seconds, Edith spoke again. "Well, for now I'm totally placing here..." her voice trailed away as she dropped the counter on Natasha's last one.
"Your turn then!" she said, mulling ways that she could -somehow- get at least a three in a row.

I also thought that you could do your counters yourself, (if you like obv) if so then here's the link to the template I use. I can still do it, I don't mind but just if you'd like to, especially since I'm late in answering and our game status may get lost!

Also, I'm very sorry for the very, very late reply. (Only two months since your last post... ) I will try not to delay like this anymore, though no promises.
