You, Me and a Fateful Journey
She was glad her comment had been well received. The way she saw it, separation into different houses shouldn't create any more division than it all necessary already did. Just as she wished, more so than ever in the last few moments, that the separation between magical and non-magical people could end. While she had personally come to know some very good reasons for why things were this way ... Well, she couldn't help thinking that if her parents hadn't been prohibited to act, things might have turned differently ...
So Tessa had been orphaned. Losing someone dear to at any age was always hard and sad, but to lose both parents at such a young age seemed specially heartbreaking. She was glad someone caring had come along to take her in though. She was not at all sure of what to say about it all though. And while she didn't wish to make it about herself, feeling it couldn't at all compare, she couldn't help being reminded of her own loss and another glimpse of her still raw sorrow escaped, with her feeling her eyes sting as fresh new tears threatened to spill over. She did her best mantain calm as much as possible. This had been turning out to be such a good, happy moment and she didn't to drag the mood back down
"W-Well ...I was born and raised in London myself, actually ... I live pretty close to the building that houses the secret entrance to St. Mungo's Hospital, where my parents work ..." Carrie then said.
