Honestly, the conversation was starting to bore the first year. He had listened to the Hufflepuff girl rattle on about Hufflepuff this, and how things were crazy, and professional games, but Daniel was getting bored. It was the same old small talk, the same old conversation time after time. It didn’t really surprise him. He wanted to get up and walk away, honestly. He debated what position he would be best suited for when the team tryouts opened up. Maybe Chaser. Yeah; he was agile and flexible, but chasers were often considered ‘boring’ by others. Not the main players, that was for sure. His fingers tapped along his thighs as his icy eyes glanced towards her.

But it was her comment about seekers that pissed him off. The Slytherin’s face twisted in annoyance and his words were sharp, “I didn’t say Seekers didn’t get the credit, I simply said their position was boring,” he hated when people didn’t listen. It made them sound incompetent, and while Daniel sometimes found himself that way, it didn’t happen often,And you just told me what I literally just said about seekers still winning the game.” His annoyance was through the roof. So much for having quiet time to think before he had to go into the noisy world of Hogwarts again.

The boy, without much of another word, took his bag and stood up. He was done with this conversation, and his body language made it perfectly clear he was over it. “It was nice to meet you, or whatever, but I’ve suddenly realized I didn’t do my very important homework, so I have to go do that.” It was a lie. He doubted she’d catch onto it. Daniel liked to be finished with his work early. Early to finish, more time to play, he told himself.

And with that, he was headed down the stands to the entranceway to make his exit.

The boy was clearly getting annoyed and irritated by her, which made absolutely no sense since she was right. Perhaps he hated being wrong. It made no sense to her that a position could be boring and yet still have the power to entirely change the course of a game. Surely that made the position far more interesting. The seeker was one of the positions to take out first and defend fiercely. But apparently he disagreed. Serena did not have time to explain her logic to him, however.

He suddenly stood up, grabbed his bag and basically ended the conversation as quickly as he could to leave.
"Okay. Bye." She replied just as bluntly, deciding that she did not like the irritable boy either. All she was trying to do was be nice but he seemed hell bent on being annoyed by her and that was on him. She had tried. She really did. Serena was having a terrible day as it was, she simply thought she would try and make his better but it appeared to have left them both in a foul mood.

The Hufflepuff rolled her eyes as he walked off, before seating herself down onto one of the empty chairs. She put her feet up onto the railings and gazed out. Perhaps she ought to have been nicer to him... Serena pondered, wondering about his behaviour before rolling her eyes and deciding it was not worth thinking about. She had more important things to think about. Though, at least she managed to get rid of him and get some peace and quiet to herself. She now had the whole stadium to herself, to just think quietly.
