✽Avery smiled as she listened to the younger girl. She was so bubbly and sweet. Avery wondered why the sorting hat had chosen Slytherin for her. She seemed more like a Hufflepuff to her than anything. She had asked the same thing when she had met Kari. She was nothing like the stereotypical Slytherin idea. Everyone she had met had been far from it.
“Of course we’ll see each other this year. We could meet up here, you could come watch the fall Quidditch match, or we could even just hang out. We may be different years, but that won’t mean that we can’t be friends and hang out with each other.” Avery smiled. She really was enjoying the girl’s company and couldn’t wait to hang out with her again.
“I don’t think my family has house elves. J think we did in the past, but something must have happened because my parents just use magic for everything now. Don’t worry. Most of the house elves are in the kitchen, so that’s why it seems like they’re hiding.” Avery explained. She herself couldn’t remember seeing one of the house elves since she was younger, but she knew they were around.
