History of Magic Updates/Plans - for sakes of transparency
As an update regarding what I am doing as the History of Magic professor, I am going to notify that I have several things planned for the role.
1. History of Magic Curriculum WILL change. You will still gain the spells from the same lessons, but the topics around the lessons will change. More on the content of the Curriculum at the bottom of this post.
2. Homework questions will change as the lessons are announced, I will try to remember to give notifications of when these changes will occur ahead of time.
3. Homework Grading Scale will change (Unless the homework states otherwise/totals otherwise) as the new lessons are written. (the general sense is 5 questions, 2 points each. An exact zero on the assignment will earn a Troll)
4. Homework Rules will be modified.
5. History of Magic Textbook will be archived. All of the information you will need regarding a topic should be found inside of the lesson. To clarify this; all the information you will need will be onsite and will not require going to an external site for a multitude of reasons.
6. The Bulletin Board thread for History of Magic (in the class forum) has been unpinned, as we now have a thread in the Bulletin Board for all class announcements.
7. Classroom Information was made to hold the information regarding RULES (important!!), the Classroom Description (as we did not have that), and an updated description with more details on Asdrubal.

Walk Like An EgyptianThis lesson is specifically covering Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt and Ancient China. I will provide a forewarning that all the answers are in the lesson, so double check! There will be answers that sound right but are not what was put in the lesson.

Additionally, I am notifying that as I update the lessons over time, the grading scale will be added into the rules, the homework and the answer key. This allows me to have total transparency over the point scale and you can see where you are and why.
Grading Scale
9-10 = Outstanding | 7-8 = Exceeds Excellence | 5-6 = Acceptable | 3-4 = Poor | 1-2 = Dreadful | 0 = Troll
Rules have also been updated and condensed. No, you would not lose points for not including the question or point total in the homework, but it makes it a lot easier for the professor or grader to know what it is that they are grading and where the answer belongs.

6TH YEARS: I have goofed up momentarily and accidentally posted your new lesson "Understanding Auras" while I was editing it. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THE LESSON. IF you were in the middle of it please COPY your answers and save them somewhere so that I can fix the lesson and allow you to finish your current work.

Muggle Studies Lesson Re-Writes
Hello all! I’m currently working on re-writing Muggle Studies lessons (for years 3 and above)!
Y3L1 will be re-published with Jon’s POV instead of past Professor Maya Galim on September 11th. This is a week from now so it should be plenty of time!
If you are currently planning on doing the homework or are in the middle of this lesson, please aim to have it done before that deadline as I am changing the grading scale and questions so it’ll be quite different!

Lectures for Year Four are presently undergoing revision. The first has already been completed and will replace the current version on Monday. Subsequent changes shall follow in due course, though not at a constant pace, as other obligations demand my attention.

Muggle Studies Lesson Re-Writes & More!
Thank you all for your patience, Y3L1 has been re-written and was published today so you can go ahead and take a look at the new lesson and questions if you haven't already done the homework! Additional thanks to @Prat Pass & @Siobhan McCarty for their character's influence in my lesson.
Y3L2 is currently in the works for being re-written. I will make another announcement, or edit this post, regarding when it has been finished and give you all another week to wrap up any unfinished/unsubmitted edits on the current Y3L2 before posting it!
As a side note: I am always looking for students to offer to be in Jon's lessons. As I am currently working on Year 3, that is the highest priority, but don't be afraid to reach out if you are an older year who can see themselves taking Muggle Studies (IC) and I will be sure to include you in lessons!
