Eli Goldhorn wrote: 16 May 2025, 14:25 Oh I love a well-written historical fiction! I'll have to take a look into it. I've actually been rereading the HP books for the first time in a really long time and it's been a whole lot of fun ( still only on the first so nothing that will make me cry has happened yet :)

The Notebook like Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook or is it something else?
Yeah, I agree about the historical fictions, I’m kind of only reading it because it’s short so I can see how good it is. I’ve reread the HP books so many times! I used to reread them every time I was allowed to read the next one.

Yes it is The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.

I used to read them quite a bit! (historical fictions that is) but i've kind of fallen out of them for the most part unless something really catches my eye. Mostly it's the sci-fi or the fantasy for me right now. I couldn't count how many times I read HP when I was younger, I think half of the library index card was me taking it out to read lol.

And that's awesome! I never got around to reading the book but I've watched the movie a fair few times and it's always held up really well. I hope that you enjoy it!

I watched the movie for the first time earlier this month! It’s really good!
I go on and off historical fictions but sometimes there is a really good one. I got into them properly at the end of 2023 early 2024.

On a completely different note, have any of you read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green?

Yesssss oh my god. The Fault in Our Stars is such a phenomenal read but it's also such a tear jerker at the same time. The movie adaptation is fairly good as well but I think I still do prefer the book to it, all things considered. John Green was good at striking right at the feelings in a lot of his novels.

I just finished reading A Five Letter Word for Love by Amy James. Has anyone else read it?
