AEIOUSA𝔭rat stared at the grinning child before him as his mind raced around. Trying to piece together how their conversation had derailed so much so spectacularly. The boy had snatched the words from his mouth and twisted into a weird and pathetic declaration of false muggle superiority. The absurdity of it all made Prat laugh. But the look in the Clark's eyes seemed as if he wasn't joking. "Hold on," he said, his voice laced with a hint of annoyance, "Are you fucking stupid you imbecile??Did you even listen to what I said, or are your ears as bad as your growth?"
It wasn't like Prat to be so bluntly misunderstood or to be so blatantly rude, But he couldn't let something as trivial as his mere fascination with muggle clothes be tainted.
Prat's felt a mix of embarrassment and anger as Clark's laughter filled the room, this humiliation only came because he decided to accompany Elisa. He couldn't believe he had just been called a 'dork' for wearing something as simple and comfortable as space pajamas, not that they also looked very great and beautiful. "Language you fucking idiot," he shouted at him. As Clark changed, Prat turned away. He had no intention of watching this child strip down, nor did he care to see what 'cooler' pajamas was, something the brat had deemed worthy of his own superior taste. He sighed deeply, thoughts filled on how to navigate this unexpected social minefield.
Prat's thoughts snapped back to reality upon hearing the crash and the muffled curse from behind him. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of satisfaction at the sound of Clark's misfortune. This was a higher power's way, a small retribution for his earlier snide remark. But the moment ended much to soon for Prat's liking, the concerned sincere child in him quickly overriding his spite. He cautiously turned around, not wanting to be caught smirking. The sight of Clark sprawled on the floor as he fell on his ass with a glass frame shattered across his face was hilarious to his inner self. But it also jolted him out of his contemplation. "You okay?" he asked him, his voice filled with as much forced nonchalance as possible. This was the best possible situation for a snarky remark, but something in Prat held him back. Prat's eyes simultaneously darted to the door, expecting Octavius at the door any moment now.
Prat knelt beside Clark, 'Could this night get any worse?' he mused silently, his mind racing with the potential consequences of this nocturnal escapade with Elisa, and what his parents will have to say. "Look where you're stepping, you bloody lunatic," he murmured, his voice a tightrope walk between scolding and sarcasm.

Quick! He had to pick up all of the glass shards, Octavius could not see this mess. But honestly, Clark could care less about the glass shards now that the kid got onto his knees to help him. "Hey, this is my job, not yours." He started, but his actions began while he spoke.
His hands that were picking up the glass unclenched and the glass shards that it once held all fell onto the floor. He lunged onto Prat, attempting to knock him back onto the ground as hard and as fast as he could, seeing as he was right next to him. He was going to wrestle this Prat if he had to, but first, Clark took a look around, hoping that there were no glass shards that got onto Prat or into Prat.
When he felt sure, he let go of Prat, standing up. He turned around, walking over to where he threw down the pajamas he was starting to put on prior getting hit with the falling frame. Ugh, put on the pajamas or go back to picking up glass? He stood there for a second, wondering what the best course of action was, and finally he decided that putting on the pajamas were the best choice because by then, he would be covered. He leaned over to pick up the hooded onesie.
Clark was at least glad his nose or face was not dripping blood, because then he would've just been angrier.@Prat Pass

AEIOUSA𝔭rat's shock was calmed down as Clark released his grip on the slytherin boy. What was happening here? He had just been helping clean up, and now he was the target of this strange child's aggression. As he watched Clark retreat to the discarded pajamas, his thoughts continued to grow even more disoriented. 'Is he stupid?' Prat wondered internally. 'was he dropped on his head as an infant or was he born like this?' He took a cautious step back, his eyes never leaving Clark as he tried to gauge the situation. Prat's instincts were telling him how he might have just barely dodged a more serious confrontation.
As Clark bent over to pick up the pajamas, a sudden urge pulsed through Prat's veins, he wasn't sure if this adrenaline or otherwise. He didn't even know what adrenaline was yet. He saw his opportunity and took it without a moment's hesitation. His foot shooting out, connecting with the small of Clark's back with a solid thunk. "It's even now," he declared. Even he was surprised by his lack of hesitation or the guilt devoid voice that came from his mouth. However, the boy had attacked him unprovoked, and this was justified. His eyes were locked on the spot where Clark crumpled to the floor. The pajamas halfway up. Prat hoped this would this be the end of the strange night.
'What have I done?' he thought to himself, his mind racing with the potential consequences of his hasty action. But as he reached the safety of his borrowed bed, a strange sense of satisfaction washed over him. He had stood up for himself. His gaze remained still fixed on Clark. The lad had started it, after all, and Prat had merely finished what he had begun. He knew he couldn't let his guard down, not even for a second.

He felt something hard hit his back, like a jolt. Another method of taking the bloody breath out of him. It was like someone walked up to him while he had a sunburn on his back, with a beam of wood or simply a thick stick, in their hands, like they slammed it hard on his back, a baseball bat to the body.
But he was overreacting...
Was he?
He flipped onto his back coughing. "Prat what the fuck is wrong with you?" He stared at him with anger on his brows but it lightened. "You're kind of cool. Honestly. I like you." Did he really say that? Time to counter it with something stupid to blurt out of his mouth. "But you're like an infant, I cannot be friends with you, you're gross and smelly like one too."
He moved his left hand up to pinch the bridge of his nose and act like he smelt something bad.
Prat getting on the bed.. well.. that was another issue. But if he fought Prat over this.. then fuck it, he would never get to see Prat again or any visitors for that matter.
He put on his onesie, zipping it up. He pulled the hood over his head.
Is it even? Nah, Clark was being playful and right in the middle of putting on pajamas was he kicked. That was complete bullcrap. No, Clark didn't start it, but Prat did. Regardless, he was willing to, for once, put matters aside and extend a hand to him.
Then temptation grew. Prat wouldn't be a fan of him, no. Not after this. But it didn't cut him or anything. It was just cruel.. and that was Clark.. so this balance would work. Right? Well, he hopped onto the bed, wrapping his arm around prat as if he were giving him a hug, but what differed from this unnatural occurance of Clark's behavior, was Clark used his hands that he wrapped around to grab Prat's underwear, giving him a wedgie.
"My back fucking hurts. Why the hell did you have to kick me?"@Prat Pass

AEIOUSAHe heard Clark's words, "Prat what the fuck is wrong with you?" Prat could see the weird expressions on Clark's face, soon however. The anger on Clark's brows lifted, and a hint of something softer took its place. "You're kind of cool," he said, and Prat felt his own anger begin to wane. "Honestly. I like you." Was that...praise? Did Clark just admit something nice about him? Prat's brain stumbled over the words, unsure of how to process this sudden change in tone. Was this a trick?
Then Clark proceeded to blurt out, "But you're like an infant, I cannot be friends with you, you're gross and smelly like one too." "You're one to talk about smelling," Prat spat, his nose wrinkling in disgust. "You're the one that reeks of a dumpster love affair between sewage and last week's sushi." before he moved on to bed and better things, until Clark interrupted him again.
Prat was in shock as he felt Clark's arms encircle him, "What the hell?" his thoughts in disarray, he had no intention or want, to be this close to Clark. Clark had crossed a line that could never be uncrossed. Prat's instincts took over as he threw a punch into Clark's side, desperately trying to break free. The room spun as they toppled over the edge of the bed together, the weight of their bodies crashing onto the cold, hard floor. "What is wrong with you?" he seethed internally, his cheeks burning with a mix of humiliation and anger. As he wrestled with the boy, his mind was made up. He would not tolerate such treatment.
Prat's fist clenched, and he swung with all his might, catching Clark off-guard, feeling no pity, only a rage filled determination to retaliate. He mirrored Clark's earlier move, gripping the waistband of his underwear with a surprisingly firm grip and with a surge of adrenaline-fueled strength, Prat hoisted him into the air, their roles now dramatically reversed. Clark's feet dangled just above the floor.
"This is what you get," he thought, his voice a low growl in his own ears, "You mess with me, you'll get it back."
"Oh, the sweet taste of revenge," Prat thought as he tightened his grip just a smidge more, Prat felt a dark thrill at the sight, a sense of power he hadn't known he had. This wasn't who he wanted to be. With a grunt, he released the waistband, letting Clark drop to the floor with a thud. He stepped back, his own breaths coming in ragged gasps. What had he done? He had never thought of himself to capable to initiate such a brutal act, but somehow, the cruelty felt... right.

Well that comment on his pungency sucked. Could’ve been less harsh, that was for sure. He obviously had given prat that wedgie, but he wasn’t expecting it to backfire on him. He felt immense pain and discomfort from the neon green fabric that he groaned loudly, wanting to lie down and let the pain go away, but it was like Prat was hellbent on making it worse for him. He was a foot in the air, and it was hell.
“Put me down right now, you Prat.” He demanded.
He fell to the ground, sore. Happy that the increasing tension was finally able to start alleviating itself.
He heard his words prior being dropped and how he wanted to slap his mouth off of his head for giving him hell.
“You wait. I will rig something so you are humiliated.. even if it means I have to go to one of your games.”
Clark stared at him, still lying down on the ground. It was time to admit defeat. He couldn’t win a fight against someone bigger, it would be like a paper losing a fight to a scissor.
“Truce?” He said, extending his hand out, the other propping his torso up on the ground as he laid on his side.
It wouldn’t be the end of prat and Clark. He sighed, hating that he was asking this question; “If I were to be your bestie, what would I have to do. Do you want me to beat up other people and not you? I’ve never really had a best friend. As hard as that is to believe.”@Prat Pass

Octavius heard a crashing sound, glass shattering, and a few thuds on the ground. He had to apologize to Elisa. "I'm sorry dear, but I think the boys are up to something. You're free to come with but something suspicious is going on under my roof."
Something was going on. When he walked in, he saw Prat giving his son a wedgie, suspending him in the air by his underwear. Prat muttered something about revenge, and Octavius was confused. He did this a lot as a kid, was he supposed to step in?
Well, considering there was noise and broken glass, yes, he did. He figured the two boys took it too far. A simple prank here and there was good, but when it involved hurting the other, he needed to intervene.
He saw Clark's hand reaching out for 'truce' and as Octavius spent his years with the tiny one, he knew this was false. He sighed, "TIME OUT." He didn't want to, but he needed to dole out the punishments. Yes, even to the guests. Would he have someone complain to him about giving the kids their fair share of the consequences, likely so, but he did not care.
"Clark, go stand over there in the corner, your nose needs to touch where the two walls meet. I will go over there and check." He stared at him harshly, "Now." His face of frustration moved to Prat. "Tell me what the hell happened here. Now. Why is there glass on the floor, why were you dangling my son in the air by his underwear, and why are you talking about revenge? Explain."
He'd ask Clark but Clark would lie about it. He gave him a chance one too many times, and Clark never stopped lying. Prat had a chance to explain himself, but no matter what way it goes, Prat was not going to avoid consequences. There was either the buddy shirt or a nose-to-the-corner in timeout.@Elisa Shakestra @Prat Pass

Elisa felt her eyes widen when she noticed what Prat had handed over to the Ex Professor, she couldn't understand how it had gotten into the boys possession or had he carried it all the way till here? The young blonde knew it was best to not interrupt the conversation especially with the fact that Mr. Baird was certainly not pleased with her presence, it was hammered into his mind that his little Ernest had sneaked out under her bad influence last winter to London. Elisa gave an awkward smile upon the mention of Ernest's grounding, while she had the stamina to argue with the old man, she knew the worst to do was to get in his bad side.@Prat Pass and @Octavius Baird
She slowly followed the Ex Professor to the guest room as she glanced at Prat, giving him a scared look, if the Baird did write a letter to both of their parents, they'd be done for, the young blonde sighed as she tried to calm herself down, as she finally looked up to see the guest room, it seemed pretty, especially in a house this small, her mouth opened to say something when she noticed that the older man and Prat were already gone? she sighed at a moment of peace as she looked around the room, the more time passed, the more comfy it seemed, before she could get lost in her mind, Octavius returned, this time asking her if she had any clothes, "I have a pair in my backpack" she muttered, the last she would do was make him spend money on some clothes for her or borrow the clothes of another.
After Octavius's leaving, Elisa heard him blabber something about rules from the hallway, she rolled her eyes, it was not as if she was here to cause trouble, her main focus being Ernest whose presence had seen to have been erased from the house.
Elisa finally sat down on the bed, her legs finally resting, it was quite a long way from London to Perth, she barely had a bit of energy to even question Octavius about why he was holding onto Ernest's little mistake this seriously, her mind was blank, surrounded by the unusually styled guest room, with the hushed whispers of bickering that was happening between Prat and Clark? if that was his name, she knew her cousin Prat wasn't the kindest or easiest of guys to deal with but she was glad he had joined rather than let her do this alone.
She heard a click of the door yet again, Octavius, returned once again, this time with a bright expression plastered on his face as he finally asked her the question, she hoped he wouldn't ask. "I'm not sure of Prat with the wine he turned up with but my birthgiver isn't much aware of this, Professor Baird, could you please not send a letter to them? Its just we don't have the best relationship, I'll perhaps go with Prat if his parent's come" she smiled with light pain in her eyes, it was not often that she spoke of her relation with her parents, especially to some adult.
A chuckle escaped her mouth as she heard his joke regarding his kids, she had heard from Ernest a couple of times of how crazy some of his brothers were but had never expected Professor Baird to accept it, just then she heard loud sound come from one of the nearby rooms, the glint in her eyes disappeared, worry covering her face, did Prat already end up breaking one of the Baird house rules?
Without a word she followed Octavius to one of the room to see chaos, one that she hadn't expected to happened, it was clear Clark was in pain by Prat's action but what distracted her was his dark expression, she had never seem such a face of her cousin..
Elisa crossed her arms and patiently waited for Octavius to calm the situation down and hand over the punishments before finally settling to question Prat, Elisa slowly walked towards him and spoke "Prat, what's gotten into you? You could've hurt him badly", she decided not to speak much, the mood was already frustrating.
Suddenly the ringing of the doorbell was heard, following it was a cold yet stern voice, one that Elisa had hoped to not not hear for the time-being, "Elisa? Are you there?", Elisa couldn't help but mutter "Thats my mother's voice? Professor Baird did you already send the letter?"..

Clark grunted angrily, getting off of the floor. He turned to face the boy and muttered, "You're such a dumb prat." He turned away, readjusting himself as he walked towards the corner, pressing his nose where the two walls meet. He stared at a stinkbug crawl across the wall but did not dare to move. He heard his father demanding an answer, and Elisa walking in. Could this be any more humiliating? He had an answer, and oh how honest it was.
He would've said 'I did not want to share my bed so I attacked him.' but that would not have explained what Octavius walked in on. No one wanted to explain that, but secretly, Clark wanted to hear how Prat would twist it and place the blame on him, hopefully not telling the truth because fuck the truth.
He wanted Prat to seem just as untrustworthy as he was, but his wish did not seem to always come true, perhaps this one will. He felt his neck hurting from standing there, his nose a little brighter from how he was pressing it against the walls. He yelled out, "Hey JACKASS!" Oh god, Octavius might have his hide for this now. He tried to quickly continue his statement. "Tell him the truth, tell him how you started it and thought it would've been a fun game. My whole back hurts because of you. Tell him all about it, you dork."@Prat Pass @Elisa Shakestra

AEIOUSAPrat took a deep breath as he felt the heat of embarrassment creep up his neck as he stared at clark and his tiny legs moving across the room. He knew Clark was baiting him, trying to get a rise out of him, but he wouldn't let the minion get a rise out of him. As he felt Elisa's presence approaching, he gathered his thoughts, constructing a story in his mind to play it cool and keep his story straight. He whispered under his breath to Elisa's query, "Elisa, he started it. Of course i had to end it." He assumed Clark had a knack for twisting situations to his advantage, shrewd kids like him did that all the time. But this time, He'd tell the truth, even if it was a half truth.
Prat matched Octavius's gaze, looking up at him as he decided the magnitude of lie he was about to tell. He took a moment to compose himself, "Mr Baird" he began, his voice stronger than he felt, "I understand that you're upset, But I need you to know that Clark and I both played a part in this." He paused, searching for the right words. "We both lost our tempers, when he threw the first punch and i retaliated, but we're equally at fault here." His eyes darted to Elisa, hoping she'd support him, "As for punishment, I'm willing to take whatever you think is fair. But I'd like to keep the details of what happened between us to myself, if that's all right." The desire to pulverize Clark, was threatening to blow, but he knew better than to let it out. The less said, the better.
As Elisa's mother walked in, followed by a woman he recognized immediately as Melissa Break, his aunt. He felt a twinge of hope mixed with dread. Aunt Melissa had a way of smoothing over situations, but she also tended to a stickler for the truth. As she approached them, handing a business card to Octavius, it looked awfully similar to his mother's, he tried to gauge her expression. Was she his saviour or further punishment? She had a gentle smile on her face as she introduced herself, but her eyes searched the room. She greeted Elisa and her mother with a nod, her gaze finally settling on Prat. "Octavius, I'm Melissa Break," she said, her voice calm and composed. "I've come to take Prat home."
Prat's stomach dropped as he witnessed his aunt taking charge of the situation, which he was sure wouldn't just end at merely leading him out of the house. He knew he was in big trouble now. He couldn't help but attempt to predict the potential consequences of his actions. The scheming with Elisa, running away and all of that, he wished he could just turn back time and not make these choices. As they stepped outside, the next few words from her even surprised him, not even giving him a chance to prepare his defence. "Prat, I'm taking you home now, we'll talk about this later" she said, her voice a stark contrast to the chaos they'd left behind. "You're grounded, young man, and you'll be spending the whole break with me. No magic, no friends, just a chance to think about the choices you've made. Your mother's words, not mine."
