Steven leapt up the staircase occasionally missing a step two as he eagerly made his ascent. No way was it this coinvent, he thought to himself as his heartbeat raced. As he approached the next floor, he felt the staircase start move. "Oh no you don't" he blurted out aloud as he jumped over the last step, "anddd safe!" He called out with a little victory fist pump.

The second floor always felt eerie to Steven, and nearing curfew didn't do it any favors. With the Study Room being on this floor brought about a quietness that many eleven-years couldn't take, but it was the abandoned toilets and the rumors the surrounded them that made the young Ravenclaw uneasy. He couldn't help but let out a low groan at the thought of the sound coming from there. He quickly tried to push that thought deep down, but surveying what was in front of him didn't help.

It didn't help simply because there was no sign of anything that could've made that sound. To his surprise there wasn't any suits of armor on the ground in a pile, let alone one standing at that. Not a single portrait came off the wall, and the few torches remained flickering brightly in their holders on the wall. This is odd, the boy thought to himself as he turned around to make the sure the other boy was still behind him. At that very moment, another similar crash could be heard just down the corridor, "Please tell me it's not coming from that unused lavatory." The boy groaned much louder this go around.
