Finally, Anthony looked up at Pam, but he seemed to ignore her, or perhaps he didn't notice? Amelia couldn't decide, so she just watched helplessly, not sure what to do. As she passed her gaze to Pam, she noticed with a jolt that the girl was mouthing to her now! Happy to be included, and to have someone who might know what to do, Amelia watched intently.
"should we get him out of here?" Pam asked her, silently, her lips moving with no sound coming out.
"I'm not sure..." Amelia answered, glancing back at Anthony; he seemed to be in his own world- but nervous world, that's for sure. Amelia furrowed her eyebrows, trying to find a proper solution. "Maybe we should just take our dinner outside, to the grounds? I heard breathing helps anxiety." Mentally, Amelia rolled her eyes at her words. Honestly, sometimes she said such stupid, obvious things! Of course breathing helps, breathing is vital!
Ignorant of the other Slytherins around her, Amelia sent her half-of-an-idea to Pam, mouthing carefully and slowly; it felt as though the words might get lost in all of the chit-chat in the hall, although the words themselves were silent. "How will we reach Anthony, though? He's at the Ravenclaw table. Are we allowed to go there?"

Anthony bites his bottom lip calming down slightly since he was doing something with his hands ,he looked around everyone seemed excited with there new house so why wasn’t he .Ravenclaw wasn’t that bad … It was for the wise and creative. He didn’t feel wise or creative. He thought about what the hat told him how he wouldn’t fit in slytheren . But why he thought why not ,my whole family is in slytheren . My father’s going to be disappointed and my stepmom will have another thing to berate me for . He wondered if she would send a howler ,most likely not it would be too much of a hassle she wouldn’t waist her time . His next thought went to his uncle, how would he react he probably wouldn’t care ,my uncle thinks being separated into houses were silly anyway. The one thing is uncle asked him to do was write and take pictures with friends. Friends….. he looks around ,the Closest thing he had to friends were Pam and Amelia but they were sorted into different houses. He was alone… again. They probably would forget about him ,all of his parents friends were slytheren and his uncles friends were griffendoor. They would find friends in there own houses and he … what would he do he thought, would he be able to make friends? He could bearly string together a few sentences and forget about eye contact , he was also extremely plain looking and not the least bit interesting… his eyebrows furrowed. His leg bounced up and down underneath the table .

Pam nodded at Amelia's idea as she watched her ask her whether they could go over to the Ravenclaw table. She shrugged. "I don't know, but we could try" she mouthed back, "If we aren't allowed to approach the table, someone would tell us, right?"

Pam vaguely wondered if Anthony would mind leaving the Hall in the middle of the meal. He wasn't someone who liked drawing attention to himself. But one glance around the room told her that no-one should really notice. Everyone was too busy catching up with their friends.

Pam mentally told herself that she would talk to her two friends about how they could sit at their tables such that conversation would be easiest. The Slytherin table was in between the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw tables and the only reason she had had to mouth to Anthony was because there was too much distance between the places where they were sitting. If they could sit closer then atleast they could shout to each other instead of mouthing to each other. It made her feel like a fish.

Shouting to each other would be equally weird, a tiny voice whispered in her head.

Pam shook her head of her thoughts. They could wait. She was getting side-tracked from the issue at hand. She nodded to Amelia to join her as she walked over to where Anthony was sitting.

Amelia hesitated. It wasn't such a great first impression, to be a first year and leave the grand feast right when it starts, even if it was allowed. Could they get food from the kitchen later, though? Or they'll have to go to bed hungry? Her eyes wandered back to Anthony. He seemed full of nervous energy; as he bounced his leg, it looked to Amelia as if it calmed him down, though she wasn't really sure. Maybe he'll feel better once he started eating? Amelia was starving, that's for sure. The food on the train certainly wasn't enough for such a long day; it felt like the last time she ate was ages ago.
Amelia was so busy calculating the pros and cons of going outside, she almost missed Pam's little nod.
For a short moment she sat still, her eyes open wide and following Pam's steps. Amelia took a deep breath and stood up, walking over to join Pam. She tried to move gracefully, so even if some cool potential friend looked at her, they won't think she's completely nuts.
"What's the plan?" She whispered in Pam's ear as she reached her; were they gonna sit down next to him, or just pull him out of his seat? What if he'll resist? that would be beyond embarrassing.

He waits for the head master to start talking when he notices Amelia and Pam walking over to him . He raises his eyebrows. What in the world are they doing ,why are they standing up whay are they walking over do they need something from me … did I do something wrong , do they notice I’m acting strange?what should he do should he ignore them hoping they go back and sit down should he talk to them see what they want , or maybe invite them to sit with him he couldn’t do that tho they just got shorted .He looks at them confused and worried his bangs fall over his eyes again as he bites his lip , the classmates around him don’t seem see or care about what’s happening. He looks at the teachers table then back at his friends . He shakes his head slightly not knowing what he means by that maybe he means go sit down or he’s fine or what are you doing. He doesn’t even know what he’s feeling .he fiddles with his bracelet wondering what’s happening “what’s going on “he whispers to himself his blue green eyes looked cold yet soft as he lookes at his friends.

"What's the plan?" Amelia whispered to Pam, as she joined her. Pam, however, had caught Anthony's eye and the slight panic in them made her hesitate for a second. As the boy shook her head minutely, probably telling them to sit back down, she quickly changed her mind, dropping the idea of dragging him out of the hall. Well, that hadn't been her exact idea but it was something along those lines. She definitely wasn't going to let him keep sitting while looking like he was lacking oxygen. Pam frowned at that description of him in her head. It sounded hella rude and also hella accurate. She was always grateful people couldn't read minds.

"Let's tell him we wanted some fresh air so that he doesn't think we're doing it for him." Pam whispered to Amelia, feeling slightly guilty about the lie she invented on the spot, but she was pretty certain the boy wouldn't agree to them if they didn't. Well Pam wouldn't mind some air. Maybe they could check out the quidditch grounds or something.... or the kitchen, her stomach supplied.

She threw Amelia a look, "You can do the talking." She grinned at her, feeling pretty evil and shoving her to do the hard part of the job, "Thanks!"

Pamela's eyes stayed on Anthony, but Amelia could see something shift in Pam; why was she frowning? Had Amelia done something?
When Pam suggested the lie, She wasn't really suprised. She could understand the idea behind it, since Anthony may be reluctant to go; But shoving her forward?! Amelia looked back at her, an expression of betrayal and despair painted on her face.
Wide eyed, she took a deep breath, standing there for a second, then resumed walking, eyes focused on her target - Anthony. He seemed even more nervous, somehow.
Amelia quickened her pace and reached him. She raised her hand a little to touch him on the should for acknowledgement, but thought better of it; so instead she pushed her hair back from her face in a similar manner to Anthony's and whispered, panicking a little herself:
"Wanna go see the kitchens? Pam says there's something there that happens only on September 1st." Mentally slapping her forehead, Amelia refrained from rolling her eyes. What a stupid lie! She could've just told him what Pam told her, but instead she had to say this. Seriously?! "Or we could breath some fresh air. I really, really need that right now." She added quickly. Maybe if she made some of the reason to go out her fault, they'll forgive her for messing up; she looked up at Pamela for approval, then back down at Anthony, to check his reaction.

He watched as they talked thinking they looked slightly suspicious. He runs a hand through his black silky hair then goes back to fidgeting with his bracelet again . They suddenly stoped in-front of him and he wonders what he did or what they were going to ask . Amelia says something random about the kitchen which didn’t make sense to him but then she said something about needing air and he realized… wait it’s not about me she needs air and just wanted me to come. He suddenly feels a whole lot lighter . Well I’d better go with them so they’re not alone he thinks after all I need fresh air too. Maybe my parents were wrong about not being able to have close friends in other houses “Sure I’ll come with if you want “ he whispers softly. His blue green eyes looked soft inside of harsh as they usually did .He hoped while they were gone he wouldn’t miss anything important .He stands up messing with his bracelet waiting for one of them to lead the way . He was a little glad for the commotion now because it ment no one would notice them leaving .

Pam watched as Anthony's expression softened as Amelia mentioned the kitchens and something special about September 1st. Was something supposed to happen on September 1st? Pam wondered. She would have to ask Amelia. Pam held back a squeal of joy as Anthony got up to join them. Looks like their plan had worked! He was already looking relieved at the idea of leaving the Hall. She flashed him a smile, before the three of them began to head out of the Hall.

Everyone was chatting and talking loudly and she found her path blocked quite a few times but they finally made it out. She turned to the two people who had followed after her, "Sorry for dragging you two out of the place," She said, apologetically. Even if she had done it for Anthony, she was still the one who had come up with the idea, and for all her well-wishes, it might even have been a pretty bad one. And she hadn't really asked Amelia for her permission. It had been a bit difficult to do that, considering how they had been seated earlier. She just hoped that Amelia didn't mind the rude interruption to dinner too much.

"I hope you guys didn't mind coming with me?" She smiled sheepishly, glancing at Amelia gratefully, "I was thinking maybe we could find the kitchen? I'm not sure about you guys, but I really am starving!"

Somehow, the three managed to exit the Great Hall without making a scene; everyone was so busy chatting with their friends about various topics, they didn't notice the three slipping out.

Amelia exhaled as they settled on the other side of the huge doors, glad it went smoothly. Pam apologized for dragging them out, but it wasn't her fault or anything, it's not like she's done something wrong, so Amelia smiled at her reassuringly and nodded, to show she didn't mind leaving, and to express her assent with the choice to leave the Hall.

True, she would be hungry later, but it's alright, she still had some snacks left from the train ride in her pockets, so that could be a nice enough meal. It wouldn't be the great feast she expected to have at her first night at Hogwarts, but the outcome might be more special and interesting. Perhaps the three would dine together in a completely different way! Maybe the house-elves really had something special going on in the kitchens for the day.

Wait, kitchens? What? Did Pam say something about it? And she had some meaningful expression just a second ago, too! Ugh. Amelia scolded herself mentally, trying to come up with an answer that won't reveal that she had no clue what Pam had just said, and schooled her facial features into a quick smile, which could be a response for anything, really.

"Umm, sure, I thought maybe we could take a breath though, then see how we feel? Just leave all that hassle in there for a minute, and see if we want to go back or, umm, do whatever you suggested." Amelia faltered at the end, not sure if it was the correct answer.
