"Ah me? I'm from America, actually, but I currently live in the Northern part of the UK in Langesbourough [A place I made up. It should not exist.]. It's a small little village almost removed from modernity itself. Lived there for less than 5 years, but I've still picked up on the accent a little. " I mention, twisting the wand in my hands and finding the thatched texture of the wand handle soothing to run my fingers along.
"I'm mostly of German and Irish descent, though... a little bit of Bohemian too, or part of the blood of the peoples of what is now the Czech Republic and Slovakia." Ivy explains. "That's only half of me, though. The Irish is my maternal grandmother's mom, and my maternal grandmother's dad was German. My maternal grandfather was half German and half Bohemian. I believe that makes my mother half German and a quarter Irish and a quarter Bohemian. I know nothing of my father or his side, though.... just that I wasn't to seek him out under any circumstances. Grandma told me he was a very bad man." Ivy rambles on a little, thinking about all the possibilities of the different countries that could be coursing through her veins all at once.
There was a pause of silence, "But she's gone now... has been for a while. It seemed like she was still here yesterday and that we moved to Langesborough overnight, even though its been a few years since she passed. We did move here only months after she and grandpa passed away."
Ivy looks at her satchel thinking about some of the things in her trunk. "It's weird... she left me some odd things that a strange man from the American Goverment of Wizards... they gave the items to me when I received my Hogwarts letter from one of the professors. They are strange muggle items that one might think of when they hear the word 'Witchcraft...' I wonder what they are and why they were left to me, or even how to use them... " I trail on starting seemingly at nothing, completely zoned out and watching daydreams of possibilities float by.

Belle listened intently to Ivy. She found Ivy's lineage interesting. So many nations were flowing through her blood, and each of them were unique and different. Belle was mostly Scottish and English, very uninteresting compared to Ivy.
"Woah. That's really cool. You have so many nationalities in your history Ivy." Belle said as Ivy finished. "And I'm sorry about your grandma...mine live in London. And my dad's parents live in America with my aunt, so I don't see them often. At all actually."
Belle wasn't really sure how to proceed now that the conversation had taken a sad turn. But if there was one thing Belle hated, it was silence.
"So, do you like the magical world so far? Or are you beyond confused like me? I barely got onto the platform today."
Belle laughed a little at her own joke, remembering her struggle to find Platform 9 3/4 earlier. Looking back, it was funny, but she had been scared she was going to miss the train. It was with the help of some friendly older students that she and her parents finally went through the wall. Literally. It confused Belle how the wizards thought the Muggle-borns would be able to find their way onto the Platform without the letter stating, 'go through wall'.
Fear has two meanings: Forget Everything And Run, or Face Everything And Rise. The choice is yours.

WC: 257Avis marched down the train corridor, mumbling angrily to herself. Her older brother's idea of hide and seek had been fun at first, but she was just now realizing that he was pulling a prank and had no intention of his little sister finding him anywhere on the train. He'd probably run off with his stupid sixth year friends, leaving her behind to fumble around on her own and embarrass herself. Being the youngest and a first year at the same time was more frustrating than she had expected.
"Something from the cart, dear?" a kind voice asked and Avis looked up just in time to avoid fully barreling into the trolley witch and her wares. She sputtered in surprise.
"N-no thank you, ma'am," she replied, her soft Irish accent revealing itself as she spoke. The witch smiled and continued past her onto the next compartment.
Avis was unfortunately too annoyed at her situation to be tempted by sweets. She continued her march, attempting to peek through compartment windows trying not to look lost whilst looking for Will. Avis had had the thought to ask someone if they had seen him, but everyone she'd passed looked rather old and intimidating.
As Avis walked past another compartment, she stopped and leaned backwards, peering inside to see two girls who looked to be about her age deep in conversation. She stepped in front of the doors, straightened her disheveled robes and let out a quick breath. Avis rapped on the compartment window twice, hoping they'd be the helpful sort.

Belle stopped short, looking up at the door. A girl was standing there. She looked our age, so she stood and moved to the door.
“Hey, what’s up?” Belle asked, opening the door.
She hoped Ivy wouldn’t mind another person joining them, if that was the girls intent. Of course, Belle didn’t mind at all, she liked meeting new people. But she didn’t know Ivy well enough to know if Ivy was comfortable with it.
Hopefully she was, because Belle had already opened the door wide open, face to face with the new girl.
“I’m Belle. Belle Hawthorne. Do you want to sit with us?”
Now that she was looking closer at the girl, Belle noticed she looked as if she’d been running a lot. Maybe playing tag was common in the wizard community. That seemed odd, but Belle was open to it. Somehow, Belle didn’t think that was the case.
Maybe it was just Belle having grown up with two brothers, but the girl didn’t look like this was voluntary. Belle extended her hand in greeting to the new girl.
“Are you okay? You look like you’ve been running a lot.”
Belle knew sudden games of tag were possible with younger siblings. Or older ones too, she supposed. Belle was the oldest, so she wouldn’t know.
