Charming study secession PV: Eric Kim Closed

Damn, respectable answer there. Flying was decently fun. Fun enough at least. Care of Magical Creatures, that one seamed amazing to. Something Oliver really wanted to get into. Just had to wait a few years, the animals. Oh the animals. The images he'd seen in the books, like hippogriffs, and all the dragons. If his family wasn't pushing him to get a ministry job like them, he would for sure get some sort of job in Herbology, or Magical Creature care or study.

Ok, so maybe they weren't pushing him but more so nudging. 'I cant wait for you to work with us one day.' a comment from his mother, 'The ministry is a great place to work, lots of influence.' And a comment from his father. Just words like that, that seamed to have already laid down the pavement for his future. "Care of Magical Creatures.." He said with a very small hum, yes. That would make for a very fine career. "I think I would like to take that." If he couldn't do it for his job, studding it would need to suffice. And of course, Eric would say Defense against the dark arts. Show off.

And of course, his small victory, was barely anything at all. The brief pause in his writing was also short lived. As he quickly got back to his homework. Oliver slightly clenched his quill in his hand. This boy.... This boy. Eric Kim. He was pushing him. Pushing hi- "You don't know?" He tried to hide she slight joy in his tone. He didn't know. He briefly paused in his work to, to look at his notes. His untrust worthy, traitorous notes.

Though he did in fact have the answer for five on there, he had to look at the books, annoying as it was. He couldn't he trust his answers. Oliver couldn't help but smile to himself, he had it right. That one mistake, it was just that. It had to be a fluke. And because Eric was asking him for the answer. That had to mean Oliver was smarter, right? People only asked for help from those better then them. At least that was how Oliver saw things. "That Imp's are bald, and grey. Somewhat related to pixies." The question had been asking about Imp's appearance. "You know kind of- ok, no very small." It was all in the books. Perhaps Eric had just asked to be sure, but Oliver would ride the high of thinking he was better. So he didn't even let that thought cross his mind.

So they had a common liking to the care of magical creatures it seemed. Frankly it was a mix of curiosity with some interest towards such beings anyways. He wanted to learn how to care for them, for the potential future. Honestly he didn't think much on what he would do later on in life, in terms of jobs, a job focused on care of magical creatures was not out of question, though it was not his first option either. Regardless of what he would pick though, he knew one thing for sure. That whenever they would start this subject, he would love learning about it.

When he asked for help he didn't fail to notice the slight joy Oliver showed, or well seemingly tried to hide which well it worked mostly were it not for the glint in his eyes to give him away. Regardless Eric didn't comment on the behavior, when he was in a way equally guilty here for the earlier situation. So yeah that made sense, they were even in that aspect. Once the explanation was done he did realize he either overlooked stuff massively, or just got confused for no reason.

It was a simple question...with a simple enough answer that was indeed found in the books. But for some reason, he didn't know it. And more so he didn't know why it felt so bad. Sure he had missed questions before, even in class with Oliver and him competing, but now it just felt...odd. Like he was judging himself for making such a silly mistake. And yet he tried to reason it to the fact that it was just an overlook on his part...yeah...he would just focus on the last question. After finishing it and starting to clear the table putting the books in their respective rows he started to pick up his books waiting to see if Oliver was done with the work. They had spent quite a while here, and Eric for one lost track of time at some point but with work done it was easy to get back a sense of time.
