The Prefect Compartment
To sneak through the wall between platform 9 and 10 always seemed like more of an ordeal when you had a group of people with you. With not only his mother and father on tow, but also his grandparents with him, they had ended up having to walk a couple of rounds on the muggle platforms before they saw an opening to disappear through the wall without anyone noticing them.
Parcel sighed as he finally stepped out on the platform where the train to Hogwarts stood parked. The sight that met him was the same as last year, and it brought the same excitement as the first time Parcel saw it. Parents and kids bustling around, hugging, talking, shouting, meeting friends and maybe even distant family. There was also the familiar sound of owls hooting and cats purring, other things snarling and frogs croaking.
Pulling his eyes away from the welcoming sight, Parcel looked up at his parents. “Well, I guess that was that for this summer, I’ll see you again come christma-“Parcel couldn’t finish his sentence before his mother retorted “Oh shush! You think we’ll let you go this easy?” She indicated to the three smiling family members standing behind her “no no no, we’re all going to want a hug young man, traveling all this way to see you off and you think we’ll just let you scuffle off like that! Ha!”
Parcel’s mother crouched down to be on eye-height with her son.
“Bu- but mooom, not now, everyone’s watching! I’m not a little boy anymore, I don’t need a hug”
“Well, I do” Parcel’s mother replied as she pulled the boy into a hug. “And be nice, okay? And watch over the other students, you’re a prefect now after all, and take care of yourself too, okay? And don’t get into trouble, and don’t fight anymore, even if its someone else that starts it, and brush your teeth, and wear socks even in the dorms so you don’t catch a cold, and write often, or at all! We didn’t get a single letter all year last term! And be nice to the girls, and learn lots and… and don’t go on those god awful adventures you’re so obsessed with! And-“ Her advice was cut short as Parcel’s father put a hand on her shoulder.
“I think that’s enough honey, we want to say goodbye too before he has to get on the train”
Parcel gave his mother an exhausted expression as she stood up and gave room for his father to step forward. Did she truly expect him to follow all those things? And the fight wasn’t even his fault! It was that damned masked boy!
Turning his attention away from his mother he looked up at his father.
Parcel’s father seemed to be more cautious of Parcel’s wish of not being hugged in public, so he put a hand on his shoulder instead. “Yes, its not really to much more I need to say then, I think your mother covered most of it, well, remember to have fun, okay” he gave his son a smile as he said it, but then quickly turned a bit sterner “But- but not too much fun! You are a prefect now after all, need to keep up appearances” Parcel was pretty sure he had seen his mother pinch his father when he talked about having fun.
Parcel’s parents walked off to the side, so his grandparents got their chance to say goodbye, well it was only his grandmother and grandfather on the mother side of the family, he had never met anyone from his father’s side of the family.
A thin but surefooted man crouched down in front of Parcel and put one hand on each of Parcel’s shoulders. “Then its back to school, remember what I have thought you, and if anyone else tries to fight you, then make sure to make me proud!” The old man gave Parcel a childish smirk “Oh! And boy, this is the best years of your life to fool around, so make sure to use them, both with pranks and with girls” Parcel’s grandfather gave him a wink as Parcel’s cheeks became scarlet. The old man stood up with a remarkable spring in his step, considering his age, and gave room for the last lady to say her goodbyes.
Parcel’s grandmother was a rather stern looking lady and she didn’t crouch down like the rest, instead Parcel had to stand on the tip of his toes as he gave his grandmother a hug. She didn’t say much of anything as she hugged him warmly back. “Don’t listen to your grandfather” She said as Parcel loosened the hug.
Having finally said his goodbyes, Parcel moved on to the train with ease. Most of the students seemed to have already gotten on and it was mostly only the families that remained on the platform.
Pushing his way through the hallway of the train was another matter though. All the kids seemed to be pushing around him trying to find compartments with someone they knew. Parcel didn’t bother look for anyone, in the letter he had gotten when he was made prefect it said that he was to meet in the prefect compartment first. So, he didn’t need to look for an empty seat in the normal compartments.
After having managed to battle himself through the crowd of students, Parcel could finally open the door to the prefect compartment. He had been dragging his luggage all this way and was looking forward to taking a rest.
Walking in the doorway Parcel glanced around the compartment. He noticed Serena, the kissy prefect, but swiftly took his eyes away from her. He also recognized the Gryffindor boy (Anatole), Parcel had never spoken to him, but had seen him in classes. The crazy cat lady (Rosie) was there, but it didn’t seem she had made another attempt at making herself more cat-like after the last attempt failed in the lock-in. The third weird Hufflepuff prefect was there too (John), Parcel had never really interacted with that boy either, but they had fought the masked boy together. And then there was a last Hufflepuff he didn’t know (Amadea), he was unsure about if he had ever seen her before.
Turning his head a bit, Parcel saw two other people, there was the Slytherin beater Parcel had fought the masked boy with, and a Ravenclaw boy he had only seen in passing a few times.
Parcel remained standing in the doorway for a bit, pondering his options, where would it be best to sit? Well, it wasn’t too hard to come up with an answer, as far away from the airborne cooties that came off the kissy prefect would probably be best.
Making his choice, Parcel dragged his trunk in to the compartment and stored it away by a seat closest to the Slytherin (Marcia) and Ravenclaw (Kaegen) prefects. Parcel then nodded to the both of them as he sat on one of the empty seats, clutching a parcel in brown packing paper in his hands, a packet that looked very much like a broom.

The Prefect Compartment

Summer was over, and now it was time to return to school. While most ordinary children absolutely dreaded coming back to school after a nice, long, relaxing summer - Rhea had no such feelings. Had you told her a year ago that not only would she not be having neutral feelings about returning to school, but she would be looking forward to the school year, Rhea would have called you a big, fat liar. Which you were. Because at this time last year, Rhea had been mad at the idea of attending Hogwarts and disrupting her normal cycle - she hated change.
But now everything had changed! Which was really quite ironic, because she had never anticipated change to be good. However, Hogwarts had become her new home - and it was a much better one than the Manor had ever been. But Rhea was over that! This year, she promised herself to not think about her parents, or the Manor, or anything remotely related to her pureblood life or whatever. This was a brand new year, with a brand new Rhea! Hell, she was turning 13 soon, and she couldn't be an angsty teenager with daddy issues. That was definitely off the table.
Now, as Rhea prepared to Apparate onto Platform 9 3/4, her parents were nowhere to be seen. Her father was still mad at her because of her sorting results, while her mother was off in the Caribbean, on a wizard cruise with some of her friends. Neither of her parents were there to see Rhea off on her first day of her second year, but she didn't need them! She had Aida, and that was the most important adult in her life right now. She didn't need her parents to drag her down and ruin her day!
Grabbing onto her ex-nanny turned babysitter's hand (Aida's involvement in the Bishop family was complicated now; even Rhea didn't exactly know the details), the two of them Apparated onto the platform. The grand expanse was already full with children saying goodbye to their parents or guardians; mothers weeping as they sent their children away and fathers comforting them; little siblings wailing and clutching onto the older ones... but that was only the good families, the ones with no problems.
Rhea didn't miss the children who were walking around alone, making their way to the train by themselves. Or the children tugging down their mother or father's sleeves in hopes of being noticed, but to no avail. There was always a bad in every good situation, that Rhea had learned over the course of her first year & summer. But this year, she would change her way of looking at life! No longer would she constantly be affected by what her parents thought of her - rather, she would focus on maintaining good relationships with her friends, doing well in school, and being the best prefect she could be!
That was why the second Rhea arrived at the platform, the only thing going through her head was making her way to the prefect compartment. She turned to Aida and smiled, her eyes shining with happiness that hadn't present for most of the summer. Something about Hogwarts and the ambience it radiated lifted Rhea's mood higher than it had ever been before. Aida saw this, and thus resolved not to keep Rhea with her for longer than she had to.
The Lebanese woman took the young Gryffindor by the shoulders and made eye contact with her, to make sure that Rhea saw just how serious she was. "Habibti, I cannot show to you how much I am proud. Being prefect is no easy feat - I myself was prefect in my sixth year - and thus, you have to make sure to be on your very best behaviour all the time, yes?" Then, leaning closer, Aida winked. "But that does not mean you cannot get into some mischief once in a while, yes? Live out your childhood, play some pranks - but do not get caught." Leaning back out again, one could see the small smirk playing on Aida's lips. "Understood? Be a good prefect, make sure everyone follows the rules. I love you, حياتي (hayati)."
Rhea grinned the entire time Aida spoke. It was nice to feel someone caring about her so much, a nice change from the coldness that her parents showcased towards her all the time. She nodded enthusiastically, casting a look at the train. It beckoned to her, the smoke as if forming a hand, enticing her to climb aboard and begin the new year. "Yes Aida, I understand!" she winked back at the older woman, signaling that she understood her hint. Get up to trouble, but don't get caught. A good motto, actually. "Thank you for being here with me. I'll miss you so, so much!" the redhead threw her arms around the hijabbed woman and squeezed, pouring all her love into that one hug. "أحبك كثيرا (ahabik kathiran)."
Her Arabic still wobbly due to not being used a whole lot for the past year, Rhea still tried to get her point across. It was the effort that counted, right? Her effort seemed to pay off, for Aida smiled widely and hugged Rhea back. No words were said. Sometimes, a hug was all it took. After what seemed like an eternity, Rhea finally let go. She smiled one last time towards her ex-nanny and took off towards the train, trying to find the compartment.
It didn't take very long - the prefect compartment was right in front, and it was quite big too! Upon entering, Rhea saw that most others were already there. A whole bunch of her friends were already there (or at least, people she was close to) and she smiled again once she saw them.
In the corner she saw a familiar Ravenclaw boy, Kaegan Deathmote. He was the kid she had danced with that one time, and she didn't think badly of him! Next to him was an unfamiliar Slytherin girl, but Rhea waved nonetheless. She wanted to get to know all those she didn't, because she was to work with them for the entirety of the school year, no? A Gryffindor prefect had joined them as well, and this one she also didn't know. Goodness, she really needed to get to know more people! There was also an unknown Hufflepuff prefect boy, who she waved to as well. After waving to all those she didn't know, Rhea made her way to some of her familiars.
To her delight, she saw that Amadea Campbell was there, and she didn't seem to be as injured anymore. Rhea grinned and went to sit next to her, before also noticing that there were a few more people that she knew as well! There was Rosie Parker, a rather close friend; Serena Towers, who was another close acquaintance; and finally Anatole Evans, who she didn't really know but hoped she would! Him and Rosie seemed close, and anyone who Rosie liked just had to be a good person!
Sitting down and sliding her huge - very much overfilled, but Rhea liked being prepared... and clothes - trunk under her seat, Rhea looked up with a grin. First, she turned to Anatole & Serena, who she had heard had been upgraded to Head Boy and Girl (respectively, of course). "Congrats to you both on your new positions!" she turned to Serena and grinned, "You deserve it! It's a wonder you didn't get it before, honestly."
A smile still on her face, she greeted Rosie and Amadea, congratulating each of them in turn. "I honestly couldn't think of anyone better to work with!" her voice was genuine, full of childly innocence and happiness.
Then she looked at Amadea and winced. "How are your burns? Are they better?" she noticed that the other girl was looking a bit queasy. Rhea tilted her head, her voice lowering, and asked, "Are you okay?"
Everyone in this compartment was someone that Rhea either knew, was friends with, or wanted to get to know. There seemed to be no one that looked excessively rude or mean, and that was something that Rhea liked! There were still a few prefects missing, but overall, Rhea liked the new group! She felt that if there were ever any disagreements, everything could be resolved without yelling or any hurt feelings. Which was always good in a team setting.
Taking in everyone's faces, Rhea felt a weight be lifted off her shoulders. Oh, how she missed everyone! Rhea didn't plan on staying in the prefect compartment for the entire ride, for she wanted to pay a visit to some of her other friends - but she would stay here for a bit, to make sure she got all the important information there was.
As she looked around the compartment, she noticed the gathering of sweets on the table. Having eaten before she left the platform, Rhea wasn't too hungry - but she was still craving something sweet. Thus, she picked out a Pumpkin Pasty and bit into it.
"How was everyone's summer?" she asked as she swallowed down the first bite, directing her question to everyone gathered around her. "Mine was boring, I didn't really do anything fun. Sad, really. But I'm sure everyone else did something fun!"

The Prefect Compartment
As John was getting settled in, more prefects were arriving. There was Marcia, fellow defender of Hogwarts when they faced off against the masked figure. John admitted that night wasn’t his best performance, but he liked to think that he came through in the end. The Slytherin came off as distant to most of the compartment, acknowledging everyone with a simple “hey”. The exception was John: she called him by name, looked upon his delicious bounty of candy, and went to the far end of the compartment with crouching Kaegen to avoid his approving smile. John believed there were three kinds of people in the world: those who didn’t know John Johns, those who publically confess their love for John Johns, and those who secretly love John Johns. He was convinced Marcia was in the third category. In time, she’d move up to category two.
Rosie came next. No, not the one John had miraculously brought back from the brink of death last semester. She was a fellow Hufflepuff prefect and as friendly as they come. She talked to her fellow Huffle prefects as if they knew each other well. That was fine by John: no need for the awkward intros.
“Wait, she wasn’t already head girl?” John said to Rosie. John always thought Serena was second in command to Professor Lear. That, if he keeled over, Serena would just move into his office and they’d call her professor from then on. Somehow, that logically made sense to John.
“Oh, and right back at ya, Rosie,” John ended with a single sideways finger gun (that seemed to be her thing), before returning to Amadea.
“Summer was great! I got to go on a cruise for my birthday. We saw a volcano, but I did not use the Dancing Feet spell on it. Really wanted to see if the legends were true, but rules are rules. Such is the humble life of the Hufflepuff.”
Fellow defender Parcel entered the room. It seemed anyone that fought Domino was elevated into some position of power. Such things were appropriate: who else to lead the students than those tested in battle. He nodded to Parcel as he went to sit at the other table.

The Prefect Compartment
Her Escort had been brief. Her no longer Foster Mother, but now Adoptive Mother, or just Mother now, had dropped Luna off at the train. Luna had received many praises for attaining the role of Prefect so quickly, listening to her Mother talk about how successful Luna's future was bound to be. How if Luna kept up at this rate she could be an Auror, or maybe even the Head Auror. Luna didn't want any of that. She just wanted to make wands. To be the next Ollivander. Luna knew at some point she'd have to explain her position, but for now, she'd let her mother have this. Sometimes the small things went a long way. Her mom had knelt down and hugged her tight. Luna cherished such affections. She had been so deprived of basic shows of love that they were a treasure to her.
Her second trip on the train would be far different than her first. She'd be traveling with a title now, a title she had not expected. She hoped that she wouldn't be treated too differently. But she wanted to do this job well. Understanding rules had been melded into her by acclimation school. Perhaps that was why she was selected? High grades may have been a reason as well, but then again most Ravenclaws had high grades, right? Deciding that it didn't matter she pushed on. She decided to trust in her HoH, and figured if he said she was good enough, then she must be.
Luna finally had made her way to the Prefect's Compartment. As she walked inside she was stunned at its size. It was lavish, leaving far more room than was actually needed for the 18 students that would occupy it on their journey to school. Luna didn't even have that much luggage and felt extremely out of place in the exclusive room. She glanced around the room, seeing who else had already arrived. For all she knew, everyone else had and some of them were already on patrol. That was one of their duties after all.
The amber-eyed girl scanned the room, searched for any familiar face. Of the people present, she knew four of them. Amadea from a swimming lesson during Summer Camp. Kaegen had shared a cabin with her at the same Camp. Parcel had been with her on the Runic Adventure. And Anatole, the Head Boy, had been her partner during the Historical Excursion with Professor Wordsworth. Five other students were in the Compartment, four of which were total mysteries to her. The only one she knew of, was Serena, the Head Girl. And even then, only because she had been briefed on who she reported to in her capacity.
Luna moved to an empty table, slowly gazing at everything surrounding her. It seemed surreal. Luna wondered if she should strike up a conversation with a new person or someone already met. It seemed like everyone knew everyone else already though. Luna felt like an alien in the room. She knew she was the newest Prefect, an outsider in a mostly established order. Second guessing herself, she decided to just sit by herself. Maybe they would want to talk to her? Or maybe she would travel the way to school in silence.

The Prefect Compartment
In all truth, Adam had forgotten that this meeting had been planned in the first place. It was amazing that he was still prefect after the amount of blunders he'd made, though he supposed that he did his job well enough despite his unpunctuality. He would even go so far as to say that he thought Professor Yornikovych liked him -- if he thought Professor Y liked anyone, that was. Despite all of his flaws, however, it was September 1st, and he was occupying the position again. It was looking like an exciting year already, with sort-of-best-friend Anatole Evans as the new Head Boy and the overqualified Serena Towers working by his side as Head Girl. He was beyond proud of both of them, and though it might get to be slightly humiliating to take orders from the Gryffindor, he would get around it.
He'd left his mother alone at the platform this year, no husband there to watch their boys board the train to Scotland. Mrs. Harringtom was dealing incredibly well with the events of the last two weeks, and though they had lost a quarter of their family, Adam was determined not to let it get in the way of his life at Hogwarts. He'd put on a smile and keep it there no matter how he was feeling inside, and he wouldn't let his friends take on the burden of his home life; he knew that they had plenty of their own problems. Thinking of his friends brightened his mood a little bit, and he picked up his pace along the carpeted corridors as his eyes scanned the doors for the compartment he'd promised to meet Amadea and Cecily in. He found it fairly easily, suitcase bouncing behind him as he reached for the handle and prepared to give the two girls an enthusiastic greeting.
Something was wrong, though, and he realized what it was as his hand brushed the door. He'd passed plenty of people on his way down to this compartment, smiling at fellow students he recognized from brief encounters in the school hallways or in a first-year classroom. It had taken him a few minutes too long to make the connection between the classmates he'd seen going the other way: they were all prefects too! Swearing at himself under his breath, Adam left the suitcase where it stood outside of Cecily and Amadea's compartment and took off in a mad dash towards the front of the train as the details of the meeting came rushing back to him.
Sliding inside the very special-sounding Prefect Compartment, he hoped no one would notice how out of breath he was as he paused just inside the door and looked around. There was Amadea, who he'd almost forgotten had gotten the job since the last time he'd seen her. Rhea Bishop was still leading Gryffindor's student population, it seemed, which was definitely a good thing. His fellow Ravenclaw prefect Kaegen Deathmote had turned up as well, a bit of a surprise, and he recognized another girl from his house sitting at a table nearby as well. She must be one of his new coworkers! Though he'd be sad to see either Delilah or Celynne go, this girl looked perfectly capable too! Leaning against the wall next to the door, he patiently waited for the Head Prefects to start their speech and felt another burst of relief for the job that would keep his mind off of things as long as it could.

The Prefect Compartment
The prefect compartment was now packed full, and Amadea understood why they needed all of this room now. Fitting this many people in one compartment was something that needed plenty of space. Amadea was beginning to find it hard to focus on just one conversation, as there were so many people talking around her.
"That sounds like an awesome vacation!" Amadea exclaimed, referring to John's comment about his birthday. Amadea had never seen a volcano in real life before, but it sounded amazing. She hoped she would be able to go on adventures like that someday! "You should have told me it was your birthday!" Amadea added. "I would have sent you something." She always liked to commemorate her friends' birthdays with a special gift or a note. She made a mental note to buy John a little something when they arrived back at Hogwarts.
It seemed as though a lot of the Prefects had gone on many adventures throughout their summers that Amadea couldn't match. She knew a lot of them had much more money than she did, not to mention that they came from wealthy Pureblood families that had always had money. Amadea was different, and she didn't mind, but she wished she could share some awesome summer stories. Instead, she had spent her summer at summer camp and hanging out with friends in London. She had enjoyed it immensely, but it couldn't compare to going on vacations to other countries. Amadea had never traveled out of England, except, of course to Hogwarts. She wanted to travel more, but had never gotten the chance.
She snapped out of her reverie as her comrade Adam Harringtom stepped into the compartment. He looked slightly disgruntled as if he had rushed into the compartment. As Amadea caught sight of him, she remembered something. She, Cecily, and Adam had made plans to sit on the Hogwarts Express together! Amadea had completely forgotten with the rush of getting onto the train in time and trying to find an empty compartment. She immediately felt guilty, thinking of Cecily sitting all by herself, lonely in the compartment.
Amadea stood and walked over to where Adam was standing. "Hi," she said. "I completely forgot about the plans to sit with Cecily," she said, embarrassed. "I feel really bad about it. Do you want to stay here for a little bit or go find Cecily?"

"Oh, thanks. Congrats to you too. You deserve it." Serena was a very nice girl: dependable, responsible, and great to have a conversation with. Why didn't he hang out with her much first year? Just the way she spoke made you want to keep talking. There was never a dull moment. For a sliver of a moment, he pretended she had never cursed. "My...summer?" His eyes wandered up to the ceiling, as he struggled to ponder what his summer really...was. "Well, it was pretty bland after camp, actually. I came back here for a little bit to explore a little more of the uh...world. It was...something." His ankle and all his other injuries had practically healed since the Lock-In, yet some of the scrapes left a scab or two. Of course, he'd bring his high heels back to school. "Excited to get back to school, I bet you are too." He laughed.
His glance sauntered over to the letters she pulled out of her bag. Briefly explaining their purpose, Anatole nodded, moving closer to her for easier access to the letters. "Sounds alright. I'll...uh...try to tack on a few things if I can remember. It's been so long!"
He hastily scribbled his signature on the end of the letters, recognizing that the other Prefects would be here soon. "Okay, good, done!" Anatole recited, shuffling the letters up and handing them back to her. "And...a...agenda? I really don't know at this point...I'm okay to wing it, but unless you have a strong opposition..."
And like that, the door opened, revealing one of many cheery ginger Hufflepuffs. Amadea was a Prefect? To her, Anatole curtly responded with a "Thank you! And my summer was...really nothing much after camp. I'll tell you details once the meeting's over." Following behind her was Kaegen, that infamously strange being. Oh...and look what he called him. Corridor Kid. Wonderful. Anatole gritted his teeth, nodded, and moved on. There were better greetings to have.
Next up was John Johns, all the Johns you'd ever need all in one John. He entered with a booming voice, as usual, and a comment to perfectly match. Anatole breathed in through his clenched teeth, waving to John and studying his movements. "Year Two? We're...okay. I hope you've been well, I sure think I've been alright myself." He exchanged a worried glance with John at the mention of the Ravenclaw edgelord.
After an entrance by someone Anatole never knew, another friendly Huffle-face appeared - that of his current best friend and dance partner, Rosie Parker. "Hey!" She slid in beside him and teased him, which made Anatole snicker. She hadn't lost her charm. Amadea replied to John and complimented Anatole, who smiled and nodded. A wordless thank you.
"Thank you! Thanks so much!" Rotating acknowledgements were tossed back at whoever congratulated him...and boy, were there a lot. It was nice to feel appreciated on the first day.
His eyes then wandered off, noticing the silver-haired partner of his. He smiled at her through the crowds as a small greeting. A newbie, eh? She'd have a lot to learn and Anatole was sure she could handle it. He repeated the same glance, this time with more superiority, to Adam.
Back to the conversation at hand. John's vacation sounded enticing, truly, and some of his comments made Anatole laugh. John Johns was an impeccable character, if anything. "Hey, I would've too! Too bad you're not a Gryffindor."
The compartment was an ocean: calm some moments, roaring and rushing with activity the next. Anatole, to say the least, was caught in this great wide ocean, standing on the seat to get an aerial view of everyone. It looked like the team was close to all here. It was time to get this show on the road.
Sliding his way out of the Amadea-Rosie-John Johns hole, Anatole held onto the side of a chair as he cleared his throat. "Prefects! Hey...yeah...let me have your attention for a second!" He debated standing on a chair due to his height and the sheer amount of people in the car, but refused because it was risky on a train. Trains moved.
"So! I do see a few unfamiliar faces, so hi, I'm Anatole, the Head Boy. I'm sure most of you have met Serena," he gestured to her respectfully, "awesome person and Head Girl. If you have any questions at all, we'll be happy to handle them." Anatole met eyes with Serena. Maybe improvising wasn't the best thing to do, especially first day on the job. "So! For all of you, we have some letters for you. For the ones who were here last year, it'll be a little bit of a review, but it will be a lot of help to the newbies." The Head Boy awkwardly laughed, shrugging and glancing to Serena. "If I'm being honest, this job's pretty new to me too, so please...uh...what's the word...forgive me! Yeah, forgive me if I mess up."
He rolled his shoulders back. "Anyways, so first order of business is to make sure you all know Patrol areas...I guess." Anatole kept looking back at Siri-na for approval. This was a big group of people. "Wish I had a handout or something besides your letters." Maybe they should've done some sort of agenda, because if this was improv, it was really, really bad. "I'll just...uh...let Serena take it from here. Trust me, it'll go by fast, then you can go back to whoever you want to sit with. Yeah..." Anatole hastily took a seat, highly doubting he could help lead this army of patrolling officers to victory.

For the record, Professor Violet Henley is excruciatingly awesome. Everyone go do her homework and pretend she didn't ask me to tack this onto my post.
