Altar wasn't really sure about joining a club. He had to fit in his studies and his extra Defensive reaserch, so he remained determined that he wouldn't have time.

What if I...slip behind? Look what happened to that poor Ravenclaw girl in History of Magic!

But, as usual, his curiosity got the better of him. If he joined this whole "Shadow Society", he might be able to put some of his reaserch to good use...hopefully. So here he was, running down from the main castle, feeling both alive and hopelessly stupid. Man, this better be worth it... he vaguely heard people saying "Sign here" and "Almighty Flobberworms". What in Merlin's Bushy Beard...he kept running. He wasn't late...right?

Eventually he made it to what looked like the gathering he had heard about, panting for breath. He looked around to see if he knew anyone... wait, that Ravenclaw girl from History of Magic! Well, she had at least gotten out of detention alive.

"Hi! Is this the Shadow Society? I'm Altar. Pleased to meet you. Also pleased to see Cauldron Cakes... Intact. Phew! "

He grabbed a small bag he had been carrying, revealing around half a dozen Cauldron Cakes. His Dad always said you should bring food to social gatherings. Odd thing to say, for a Librarian, but he rolled with it anyway.

Hi! Is this the Shadow Society? I'm Altar. Pleased to meet you. Also pleased to see Cauldron Cakes... Intact. Phew!

Aria laughed at Altar. While everyone else was making jokes and talking about the club, here Alter was, excited about the cauldron cakes! But Aria couldn't blame him. Cauldron cakes are delicious.

Nice to meet you Alter. My name is Aria. This is Minnie, Annaliese, Ruby, and Amelie.

Aria pointed to each of the girls as she spoke. She then got a nervous wash over her. Hopefully it was okay that Aria introduced the other girls for them. She decided to change the topic to avoid any awkwardness.

Aria smiled at Minnie and the rest of the group. So this was it. This is the Shadow Society. Aria wondered what was next for them, now that they were all signed up and part of the club.

So what's next? Should we plan our next adventure? Any ideas?

Aria gave a impish smile to the group. She was a little nervous to get into trouble, but ultimately excited that she was able to get into trouble. At home, her mother shelters her and is always over her shoulder. But here at Hogwarts, she was free to do whatever she wants.

Annaliese seemed to notice her locket, which made Minnie nervous. But she didn't confront her about it, so maybe it was just her imagination. And it wasn't as if it was anything bad...she just didn't really want anyone else knowing about it. Not yet at least. Maybe if this crew of people became really close to her. If that happened, she could come clean. But for now she had to keep this a secret. Minnie took a deep breath and focused on what was happening at the moment.

Minnie smiled at the newcomer, Aldar. He apparently had brought cauldron cakes, which was a nice thought. Aria asked the group if they should plan an adventure. That sounded like a great idea to her. Hmm...perhaps we could plan a nighttime wander...not through the forbidden forest, so far, only I've been brave enough to do that at night. Maybe just back here to have a real shadow meeting. Forcing herself not to be nervous, Minnie cleared her throat to get the group's attention.

"I have an idea, but we would have to wait a little to make it a reality." She paused, and when no one stopped her, she continued. "We could come back here at night, and have fun, discuss what else we could do in later meetings, and get to know each other. What do you think about that?"

She looked around at the faces, hoping for a good response. Please have this club go well. Was her silent plea.

Mum, Da...I'm trying. Please be proud of me. No matter how badly her idea was taken, the club was well on its way, and with it, a way for her to make her parents proud.
