Elvenia smiled softly as she listened to Aston and Emily talk about their experiences at the summer camp. Though she hadn't gone, their stories made her feel like she’d been there with them. The talk of the Mistletoe Spin and the excitement of summer activities filled the compartment with warmth.

When Aston mentioned stargazing, Elvenia’s eyes lit up. "Yes, you guessed it! Astronomy is definitely my favorite class at Hogwarts. There’s something magical about staring up at the night sky and thinking about all the possibilities out there. I try to stargaze whenever I can, even when I’m home." Elvenia said grinning.

Aston and Emily's remark about spending time with family made her nod in agreement. "You’re right. Family time is really important. And yes, my grandmother is doing much better now, thankfully" she added with a smile, grateful that the hardest days were behind her.

As Emily spoke about the joys of family and her own experiences, Elvenia felt a sense of connection. "Thank you, Emily. It was really nice to spend time with my siblings, even though we didn’t do anything as exciting as camp activities. We did play a lot of games and explored some wierd places in our mansion that we never knew of." she said chuckling.

When Emily mentioned their shared Astronomy class with Aston, Elvenia chimed in. "Oh, that’s wonderful! Astronomy can be so fascinating when you dive into the history and mysteries behind it. I remember our lesson on the Solar System too. It was such a fun class, learning about the origins of everything we see in the night sky!"

She felt so happy, feeling grateful to be starting her second year surrounded by friendly faces.

Aston was quick to agree with Elvenia's opinion of stargazing, "Yeah I love stargazing, my tent at the summer camp was the stargazer tent, it had a top that was just like the night sky. I remember going camping with my parents as a child, it was really nice. Even though I don't know like anything about the constellations I still like it, it's just pretty and a great time." He smiled at the memory of his childhood, push back the pity caused by the idea that he will never have another one of those camping trips again. Aston smiled at Elvenia at her saying that her grandmother is feeling better, he was glad to hear that.

"Oh fun, must be cool having that big of a house, I spent most of my holiday at home just spending time with my dad and reading books. It was nice telling him about Hogwarts, he was a Thunderbird at Ilvermorny so he doesn't know much about Hogwarts." He thought back to the conversations they had, the difference in the magical schools was very interesting to compare.

The mention of his study session with Emily brought yet another smile on his face, "Of course I remember! It was a great Astronomy class, I really liked reading about the myths and origins of all the planets."

Emily smiled and nodded at Elvenia, feeling pleased to see her accepting that reassurance she and Aston were trying to give her. At this stage, Emily was starting to get nostalgic for the time she spent on the train with Emmanuel last year with how much of a splendid time she was having with both Aston and Elvenia. That must be a reoccurring trait with Ravenclaws; they always seem so nice and welcoming, able to make anyone feel at ease and also very down to Earth - which sounded funny in retrospect when all three of them were fascinated with Astronomy!

"Perhaps all three of us should do a group session on Astronomy together? Mythology is one thing that's intriguing about our neighbouring planets, but there's also the science that I find interesting too! Even if it is a bit tricky to wrap my head around...!" Emily's magical abilities, even if two years into the game at this point, did no more good to compensate the fact that her grasp on scientific contexts was still lacking. "Auntie" always said the penny would drop eventually, but how long exactly was 'eventually'? Too long, she thought.

Aston then brought up something that immediately screamed Casey in Emily's mind. "Your dad went to Ilvermorny? I got to know someone at camp who goes to Ilvermorny, and he's a Thunderbird too...!"

Elvenia smiled at Aston’s excitement. "That stargazer tent sounds soo wonderful! Watching the stars through it must’ve felt very magical. Even if you don’t know all the constellations, stargazing is still amazing, isn’t it? I just love looking at the vast night sky and thinking about how endless it is."

When Aston mentioned his dad being a Thunderbird at Ilvermorny, Elvenia’s curiosity grew. "That’s so cool! I’ve read about Ilvermorny, but I’ve never met someone with family who went there."

She turned to Emily, smiling at her idea. "A group study session for astronomy sounds like a lot of fun! I love learning about the myths behind the planets and the science too of course, even if it can get tricky. It’s always easier when you have friends to figure it out with. I think we could learn a lot together!"

Hearing Emily talk about her Thunderbird friend made Elvenia chuckle softly. "Thats such a cool coincidence! It must’ve been fun getting to know someone from another magical school. I wonder if Thunderbirds have any special traits like Hogwarts houses do. Did they share anything about what it’s like at Ilvermorny?"

Elvenia leaned back, and glanced at the window. It seemed that they would be arriving soon. Camp, astronomy, Ilvermorny, such a fascinating topic to talk about and Elvenia was really happy to be a part of this conversation.

Aston chuckled, quick to add on to Elvenia's opinion. "yeah, I kind of struggle to recognise most constellations, but that doesn't make them any less beautiful. The thought of how big space truly is makes me feel small and almost insignificant, but like, it's in a good way. Like all my problems are not that big after all." It's a fond thought of his, one that Aston often went back to in times of worry and fear, along with many of his memories from before he moved. The feeling of nostalgia is almost comforting.

Aston perked up at Elvenia's question about Ilvermorny, "Oh they do get picked into their houses. But at Ilvermorny a student can be picked to be in multiple houses, some students have apparently been by all four houses, it barely ever happens but it is possible. In that case I think they pick which house they will be in, out of those ones that got picked them of course. My dad's year had a person who got pick by both Horned Serpent and Pukwudgie, I think that person picked Horned Serpent in the end. Would've been neat if Hogwarts had something like that." Out of all the wizarding schools Hogwarts and Ilvermorny are the only ones Aston really knows about, even after a few years of being in the wizarding world he still feels like he barely knows anything about it, it's an odd feeling, one that he is getting used to though.

Emily was actually quite surprised just how fascinated Aston was by Astronomy. She saw a few sparks of intrigue when they studied in class together once all that time ago, but it wasn't until now that Emily recognised Aston's real fondness for it. It was endearing, really.

On the talk of Ilvermorny, Emily felt she was learning a lot more about it by just watching Elvenia and Aston talk to each other.

"Oh! So it's kind of like the Sorting Hat, but a bit more leeway for choice of House by the sounds of it," Emily commented. "I think I remember my friend telling me that only the Thunderbird statue reacted when he got sorted. Apparently each of the four statues react in different ways. With Thunderbird, the statue beat its wings, which I think sounds kind of cool!"

Hogwarts had a talking hat. Ilvermorny had statues coming to life. That sounded like a hoot! "I wouldn't mind seeing lions, snakes, ravens and badgers coming to life at our Sorting Ceremonies," she chuckled.

Emily continued. picking up on Elvenia's point from earlier. "If I have this right, Thunderbirds are symbollic to a wizard's soul, and Pukwudgies represent the heart of a wizard. Or is it the other way around...?" Emily laughed as she tried to remember what Casey told her.

Man, Ilvermorny was quite a jump from Hogwarts...
