Emily wasted no time adding to Emiline's statement. "Me too! I love writing! It can be personal, fictional... A bit of both! That's the same kind of stuff I like to read...! Something that feels so other-wordly, but with so much heart and emotion in it too to make it grounded and relatable!"
Emily already generated a list in her head that conveyed the kind of world she was passionate about; Howl's Moving Castle and the themes of responsibility and finding the "fairy-tale" ending, The His Dark Materials series with the bonds of family in a surreal, almost futuristic setting. Even her comics from back home gave Emily a sense of feeling both special and out of place in a seemingly normal world - the perfect statement for a Muggle-born witch attending a magic school. How very Worst Witch of her, though maybe with slightly better luck than Mildred Hubble.
As much as she would love to recite the multitude of titles she had procured over the years to demonstrate that fascination, the conversation was moved swiftly along. Perhaps for the best if it were to save Emiline the 50-50 chance of being bored to death by Emily's bookish ramblings.
"My favourite season..." Emily mused out loud as she searched for an answer to Emiline's next question. She eventually settled on one. "I like winter the most I think! Sure, people complain about the cold but snowfall is beautiful, especially on the mountains... And the water just looks so mystical when it's frozen over...! Oh! And the late late mornings and the early nights... I've always loved walking in the dark. There's a serene stillness to it that I just like!"

The steady patter of rain against the window reminded Emiline that they were sitting indoors and they weren't feeling the coolness of the rain. Emiline's face lit up with excitement. "Do you want to go outside in the rain?" She asked Emily with clear excitement. "We can see if there are any of the creatures you like feed." Emiline then saw the many books on the table, and her face fell for a second but then the smile came back even broader. "Or, I could help you carry all of these books back to your cozy dorm and then we can go outside. What do ya say Emily?" Emiline stood up eagerly, ready to do either of the things she just suggested or jump into action to grab some food from her bag for the many creatures in the grounds of Hogwarts. "Didn't you say you fed foxes and mice if I remember correctly. I ADORE foxes, they are so cute and shy and cunning! What food do they eat the most of ?"Emiline waffled on. Her face blushed slightly, "Oops, sorry getting carried away again." Emiline lent forwards over the top of the chair and raised her eyebrows questionly and mischievously.Speech: ABC

The girls' little chit-chat was soon accompanied by the sudden change in weather, with the rain quickly making itself known outside as the raindrops hit softly against the window. Emily, being the little nature fanatic she was, was immediately glued to the sight outside. If Emiline saw her face, she could see the fascination and the intrigue behind it as she glanced at the dramatic but welcome change in weather. Next to snow, rain was definitely a feel good weather for Emily.
"Oh my... I didn't realise it would rain today... But yes! I wouldn't mind going outside in the rain at all! I have a few more foxy friends to leave food out for before it gets too late in the evening. You're welcome for us to go together if you like!"
Emily scooped up her books into a semi neat pile before taking them all up in her arms. With a little huff of effort, she managed to balance them all in her grip.
"Not to worry about these either! I can manage. It's about time I built up some muscle for these arms anyway," she grinned as she stood up from the table.
"What say I deliver these back to the Common Room first and then we'll take a little dander while the rain's light?"
