"Team sports aren't really my thing," Madeleine told Shubhangi, a subdued look on her face. "I do ballet, but that's not in competition against another team. Just working together to tell a story." Maddie was definitely competitive and ambitious in nature, seeing as she was always vying for the star role in school productions. Being in the corps de ballet was not her style, she enjoyed being front and center. Still, the brunette knew how to be a team player when it was needed. But at summer camp? She just wasn't interested in a lot of the team-based itinerary items.Interacting with: @Guinevere Russetwood, @Shubhangi Kanjilal, @Beatrice Langstreth
"I was thinking about going to the bonfire night, and maybe the mistletoe spin, but I feel you, Guin. Relaxing here in the tent, maybe doing some skating. That sounds like a lovely winter/summer camp experience to me," she said, her eyes landing on Guinevere. "Maybe we can go skating together sometime? I'm not an expert, but I think I'm pretty decent."
"Nice to see you again, Bea," Madeleine said, raising a hand in greeting as the Hogwarts girl entered. "We've just been talking about our tent flower choices, and any upcoming plans for camp," she explained, filling the girl in. "An additional question for you now that you're here, though - and for Guin and Shubhangi, too - what Hogwarts houses are you in? I'm always so curious about the Hogwarts sorting system and where people end up." She was well-informed about the different Hogwarts houses since she'd been visiting the place for years now, and asking students where they'd been sorted was still a fun pastime. Making guesses and the like.

"Team sports aren't really my thing," Maddie turned to me, a subdued look on her face. "I do ballet, but that's not in competition against another team. Just working together to tell a story."
It's quite normal for people to not be into sports. It quite cool that Maddie is into ballet though. I guess the Mistletoe spin is there, then again, but I am not quite sure who to partner up with for that.

It's as though she is reading my mind! The bonfire and the mistletoe spin is something I wish to do as well. But Guinevere's idea was the best in terms of a lazed and relaxed camp. It's fun skating out there and then coming back into this hot pool for relaxing sore muscles. Plus, the food here is just exquisite!
"An additional question for you now that you're here, though - and for Guin and Shubhangi, too - what Hogwarts houses are you in? I'm always so curious about the Hogwarts sorting system and where people end up." Maddie asks.
"Ah!" I turn to her, " I am from Gryffindor house, the house of the brave as they say. My grandmother was quite disappointed when I didn't get sorted to Slytherin like her, but the Sorting Hat was pretty sure I was "too nice" for Slytherin." I laugh out.
"I was wondering," I speak, once there was a pause in the conversation, " The mistletoe spin, I believe, we are to partner up with someone for it. Any clue how to get partners? As far as I know, many are randomly asking some friends for it, and well, those I knew are already, and surprisingly, partnered up! I'm utterly lost as to what to do."
Before entering the tent, I mingled around with a few while having snowball fights and skating a little at the rink. I could see their pride and thrill talking about how they asked out their partners for the spin and who their partners were. There were many cool seniors partnering up like fairytale Prince and Princesses. But, I was struggling. Many men around here were seniors, a tad bit scary to ask. Those my age, they partnered up mostly. Those I don't know, I don't know. And the ladies, most of them were so thrilled to ask out their crushes and friends, hard to find someone looking for a partner in that crowd. This already has me in a tough spot, considering whether or not to drop the dance as a whole.

"Just find someone pleasing to your eye and ask them." Cassanora spoke out with her eyes briefly flickering over the edge of her book.
The Irish girl had sneakily taken up position on one of the reclining chairs next to the pool. Clearly not intending to make any sort of grand entrance. From the contents she had brought along, you'd think she was prepped for a study session. Though, she did make the effort of wearing one of the spa robes, albeit on top of her pyjamas. Anyone looking past Cassanora, towards the vase, would find that a yellow tulip was added to the eclectic bouquet now formed at the entrance.
"That's how it usually goes anyway… before you make a fool of yourself because apparently the outside did not really reflect the inside after all." This time her eyes did not grace Shubz with a direct look. Instead, she remained stationed behind a wall of a book written by some obscure wizard that, according to the title, had some theories on alchemy. From the amount of pages it had, it might look like a tedious read. Perhaps she was reading it to get sleepy?
"Or…" She sighed as she rolled her eyes, not believing what she was about to say. Lowering her book to reveal her full face. "My father would tell you to just dive in blind. Get swept away by a perfect stranger and live a moment in time that will become an unforgettable memory… or something nonsensical along those lines."
The girl shrugged with a silly face, pointing out that she thought her father was absolutely ridiculous to be thinking like that. Cassanora had without a doubt introduced herself the moment anyone would have met Madeleine. It was where she could usually be found, by her best friend's side. Though, Maddie would be the one doing most of the talking in any conversation that hosted both of them. While Maddie had an increased interest in people from Hogwarts, Cass had turned out the opposite after some years. Turns out, being the daughter of one of the school's professors was something she'd rather keep as lesser-known information. Especially when that professor is known to sing and dance in public…
