Yep. It was official. Emily liked this boy. To have met someone who had the same enthusiasm for knowledge, let alone an intrigue for Astronomy, had already imprinted his name in Emily's good books. While she often had long and exciting discussions with "Auntie" about a multitude of topics and books back home, to have this experience with a fellow student felt reassuring that she wasn't a typical know-it-all in everybody's eyes so to speak. Even if their conversation was a one-off and would only ever going to thrive through facts alone, then she would feel grateful to have the experience all the same.

She continued to listen with great intent as Aston continued their tangent for Venus for her. Every fact he described, she just soaked up like a sponge on a surface. She was silently marvelling at his knowledge. "I actually have a question, since Jupiter is the kings of the gods is there a queen? Does she get a planet?"

"Oh!" That was a very good question. She had yet to hear of an official "Queen of Planets" title for one of the planets. The best way to answer that was through logic, she reckoned.

"Hmm... I'm sure there must be. Every king has a queen, don't they? So I believe, if we were to have one... Oh! It would have to be Saturn! It's the second largest planet in the Solar System after all. Oh, but then again... Venus is also known as "Queen of Planets" because of how bright it is... And I'm not too sure if there was a goddess who was the "Queen of Planets" either. I mean, there's plenty of queens but not enough for planets... Hmm..."

Aston was glad Emily didn't find his questions annoying or bothersome, the fact that this is basically a whole new topic for him only made Aston want to know more. After all ancient myths seem to be a way to look into the past, and Aston loves knowing about the past. The different kinds of tales and experiences, being able to see how humanity has involved over the many many years civilisation has been around is really interesting. I should have looked into myths a lot earlier. Aston thought.

He listened to Emily answering his question, looking attentive and nodding occasionally to agree with her. "Saturn does seem like a possible answer, it's even right next to Juipiter!" Aston added, though when hearing about Emily's reasoning for suggesting Venus he also found it to be possible, though "Queen of Planets", that's not a nick name he heard before. ""Queen of Planets"? This is my first time hearing about that, cool! Didn't know they called Venus that before."

Thinking about how to find the answer, Aston eventually thought back to the mythologies. "Hey Emily I have an idea, since all the planets are named after Roman gods should we go look in that section of the encyclopedia? We can find the name of Jupiter's wife, the queen, and see if there's a planet with the same name!" Aston looked quite happy, they have a way to find the mystery now! At least he thinks they do.

It's quite amazing how two studious students (get it?) could go on for almost an hour discussing planets, out of all other possible topics to ever make bonds between new friends. Class would be over in fifteen minutes, give or take, and the pair were still chugging on passionately in their little project. And with the prospect of uncovering something new that neither seemed to know the answer to... Well, to say that Emily was enthusiastic to learn more was an understatement.

"Hey Emily I have an idea, since all the planets are named after Roman gods should we go look in that section of the encyclopedia? We can find the name of Jupiter's wife, the queen, and see if there's a planet with the same name!"

"Oh! Now that's some good thinking, Batman!" The pair flicked through the encyclopedia for information, a few silent minutes washing over them as they immersed themselves in the pages. Now that she thought of it, Emily did read a book once on Roman and Greek Gods and Goddesses. She should be able to recall this easily. "Pillars of Olympus." No, it might have actually been "Legends Of the Pantheon." No! It was "The Lost World of Rome: Volume 2" 100%!

"If memory serves... If Jupiter's the King... Then Juno is the Queen! Oh wait! Saturn was Juno's father!"

Talk about a wild family tree. So Saturn was both the Father and their head-cannoned Queen? It might've been just Emily but this was becoming quite the bizarre revelation.

Time goes by quickly when people are busy, the whole class was nearly over but it was certainly worth it. Aston feels like he learned a lot today, it was great! "Oh! Now that's some good thinking, Batman!" Batman? I suppose it makes sense since he is the world's best detective. Aston smiled at the nickname, or was it a compliment? Both maybe? Either way it made him happy. They flipped the pages quickly, skimming through the words to find the information they wanted and they soon found it! Soon before the end of class too. "Jupiter and Juno? Well their names certainly seem kinda matching, they both start with J." The fact that Saturn was Juno's father was quite weird, at least to Aston. "So the queen didn't get a planet but her father did?That's just weird." By all means the idea was illogical to Aston, the queen was more important then her father right? She has to have been. Aston's confusion was interrupted by the voice of their professor dismissing them, telling them they can pack up and leave, it was getting late after all. "Ah I guess we need to pack up now, that's unfortunate, I learned a lot today and it was really fun! It will be nice if we can do this again sometime."

An Unfortunate Farewell, But An Eager "Next Time" with @Aston Beckett

Aston had the same look on his face that Emily did. Jupiter and Juno being acquainted yet the so-called "Queen" had their name taken after their father. A bit of a juggle of names no doubt. Then again, lots of things have been named after each other, right? Didn't make it any less confusing though, let alone strange.

"Huh... Fancy that. I don't know about you, but colour me stumped but impressed," Emily admitted, shamelessly acknowledging this newfound fact with an amusing laugh. "But given that they both begin with "J" as you said, it doesn't feel too far-fetched... Unlike much of mythology and folk tales in general. But yeah... It's still quite bizarre all the same."

Their upside-down revelation was interrupted when the sounds of shuffling students gathering their books and making their way out of the room. Class had ended. Dang. Emily would be lying if she said she wasn't enjoying the time she was spending with Aston but there's a time and a place for Solar System shenanigans, and that would ultimately have to wait until the next time they saw each other.

"I really enjoyed our little study session together! I'd be down to do this again if you'd like to! Maybe even in the library or by the fountain sometime...?"

She walked with Aston out of the Astronomy Tower before the two inevitably parted ways.

"Until next time, Aston!" Emily bid farewell to her new Ravenclaw buddy before tiredly retreating to the Hufflepuff dorms for the night.
