Jealousy pv Emily Shephard and Ruby Night Finished

Ruby turned to Elizabeth.
A playdate does sound nice. Our furry friends also deserve other friends. So let's call this a date, for when we saved enough to buy ourselves a pet.

As she was speaking, she felt the Ravenclaw girl relax a little bit. Ruby was glad they made her feel a little bit better.
And a playdate for the whole school? That sound very chaotic but also very fun. And Emily, you really are so caring. It is nice of you to think of snacks for the furry buddies. I'll bring snacks and sweets for us too. Ruby smiled along with the other girl. It was nice making plans like this and chatting away with others.

Her mind drifted away for a second. She looked at the grounds of Hogwarts, and felt very lucky to be here. It was a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy the company of some peers. A light breeze tickled her, full with the smell of summer. She closed her eyes for a second and enjoyed the peace and quiet around them.

She heard Elizabeth say something about heading back to the castle. The thought of leaving this spot was a bit hard, she always enjoyed being outside close to nature. But she also felt her stomach growl, and decided dinner was the way to go for the moment. She followed Elizabeth's example and got to her feet.

I would like to come and sit with you at dinner. I'm glad you feel better. During dinner, maybe we can make plans on how to get the money for our pets and for the playdate.

Dinner Plans with @Elizabeth Stonewall and @Ruby Night

It appeared that Emily's Ravenclaw associate was now starting to cheer up. The talk of animal play dates certainly seemed to do it. Emily smiled at the other two girls as they conversed with each other. It was true what people say then; it's so much easier to show compassion to animals considering they're never wicked.

Speaking of compassion, Emily brushed herself off the grass when she stood and turned to her classmates. "If you guys want to head back to the castle then go ahead!" She lifted out the very last of her scraps from within her pocket and grinned.

"I'll catch up and maybe see you two later. I'm sure there's one more mouth I can still feed around here! she said, smiling.

No doubt Emily was anticipating a good dinner but she wasn't going to let up and stop from reaching out to the critters above and below her looking for their own snacks too. With a few bread crusts left perhaps some other birds looking for a last minute munch could do with it? Or if it would last, she could leave it out for the heron she sometimes sees perched at the water's bank.

"By the way... Elizabeth, right?" Emily addressed her fellow Ravenclaw. She'd never forget a face though the odd name would lose her. She was sure that was her name. She gave off the friendliest smile to her.

"You should smile like that more often. It suits you!"

Emily wasn’t going to come with them to the castle. That was ok, Ruby could tell she wasn’t ready with everything she wanted to do today.

Thanks for the chat, Emily. You’re a really nice girl to do this for the animals around here. If you ever need some help, you can just ask and I’ll come with you.
She smiled at the girl and turned back towards Elizabeth. They made their way back to the castle. The sun had dropped and cast big shadows on the grounds. The little breeze from earlier came on a bit stronger, and she shivered as it hit her. Time to head back to the castle. Maybe next time I could accompany Emily out here, these little creatures deserve some attention and love from us.

She followed Elizabeth inside the castle and into the Great Hall. She would let her decide if they would eat together or not. For her it didn’t matter. She was always open to making new friends. In a big castle like this, new friends were always around the corner.

Maybe I can take some sweets from the tables to take to the common room afterwards. It would be nice to sit by the fire and eat some sweets. I can hand out some to the others. Being nice and friendly to this girl today was really nice. The world could use some more kindness.

On to One Last Errand with @Elizabeth Stonewall and @Ruby Night

The sky was getting a little bit darker with every minute that ticked by. Emily wouldn't have too long before she would have to head back inside. As she counted and measured the last of her rations she exchanged sweet acknowledging grins to Ruby and Elizabeth. No doubt she would see them again soon if not later that evening.

She gathered the last of her stuff and brushed the last of the grass off her skirt, a couple specs of dirt to accompany. The cats hairs however seemed to not want to leave her cloak sleeves. No matter. Nothing a quick trip to laundry won't fix later on.

She gave another cutesy smile to the group of cats that were still minding their own business, playing about in the patches of flowers nearby. Now that she knew they were here she'd no doubt make sure to make a note of this area so she could see them again after the holidays.

"Well, I'm going to head this way! I'll see you both again, no doubt sooner than later!" She gave a friendly wave goodbye to the pair of them before skittering past the cats and down towards the Forbidden Forest. However, as much as Emily would've wanted to travel inwards, time was only allowing her to go as far as the edge. Disappointed of course, but knowing her nature buddies, Emily will find one waiting for her at the edge, anxious for a light meal that they're no doubt counting on her to deliver to them.
