Impatient waiting for the trip
Were all people going to be like this in school? This was bound to be exhausting for Hogwarts. The corners of Jac's mouth pulled down a little at the thought, though their expression was still mostly bright if not overall open. "Oh, don't mind it," Jac said in response to Finley's words automatically before noticing that they were perhaps not the person being addressed at the moment. Instead they cleared their throat and looked away out the window. It was a good view, all in all. More countryside that they were somewhat used to- the green reminded them somewhat of home.
"Well, potentially not everywhere. I have been told not to attempt to enter differently gendered dormitories, as it may be a mite, ah, embarrassing." Unfortunately their father had not elaborated on the subject, and lest they be accused of something similarly embarrassing they decided to simply take the mote of information and continue with it.
"Being the best is certainly a common ambition. I think a full three-quarters of the school may have some sort of motivation like that as one of their preferred defining traits- it will be interesting to see where you end up, I think."
Jac tilted their head mildly to listen for the answer, just a little curious about the prospective answer. Actually, quite a lot curious.
