A Familiar Face PV Lilyanabell Lumen Finished

James nodded, listening to what she said, glad she hadn't said anything more on the subject of James' hobby of muggle magic tricks.
Listening to her story, however, made James think about how he first learned about magic.
He had been... oh, what was it? He had been doing something, he didn't know what, and then an owl came swooping through the window in his house. James must have been at the computer or something, because the owl dropped a letter on top of the keyboard that James was using. James started violently, caught off guard with surprise. He had turned just in time to see the owl land on the windowsill, looking exhausted. James stared at it for a few moments before looking down and picking up the object that the owl had dropped. James looked down at the letter in his hands and saw a wax seal on it.
Who the heck uses wax seals anymore!? he had thought.
James turned it over to see it addressed to him. But it had been addressed rather strangely. It had his name, and his address, and also the room he slept in!
After taking it to his parents, the had explained and broke the news to him that magic was real and he was a wizard! All three of them were thrilled that James was accepted to Hogwarts, but James couldn't help but feel a little upset about being raised entirely muggle and not knowing until way later.
"So, that's when you came here." James finished Lily's sentence for her, realizing she had trailed off, playing with her necklace.
James rocked on his heels for a second, before hearing his name called.
"Well, um, I gotta go." he said, "I'll see you at school!" he called back as he ran to where his parents were calling him, waving at Lily.
He had forgotten his ice cream.

Make a dragon in your mind and then paint it on your shoulder.
