Friendship Bracelets before France open Finished

Maddie confirmed Samantha's assumption she was from Beauxbatons, before asking about the others' school. "Yeah, I'm a proud student here at Hogwarts! she replied. School pride, or just pride in general, wasn't something Samantha lacked. The thought of leaving her school made her upset, way more than she expected. Before, she had only really looked at the positive side of moving but now the other side was slowly settling in as well. Not wanting to think about it, the brunette shook off the thought and focused on the bracelet again. The compliment she received on her bracelet from Maddie, made her extremely happy. Hopefully, Elsian would love the bracelet just as much. After all, he would have to be the one walking around with it. It would be his reminder of her after she left. He would see it more often than he would see her. They probably wouldn't see each other for months at a time, if not longer. It was quite the opposite of living in the same castle and going to the same school for most of the year. She would really leave all of that behind when she moved to France.

"Great minds do thinks alike," she agreed. The girl seemed really nice and Samantha was glad she had met her. She could imagine them becoming closer friends over time. The Ravenclaw was tempted to confided in the other girl and share about the big move coming up. However, it wouldn't be fair to share such big news with Maddie before telling her best friend. It would be horrible if her friends heard about the move through someone else. It must be kept a secret to avoid that. Even though she wouldn't share the news just yet, Samantha was wanted to know more about the school she would be going to next year. The surprised expression on her face transformed into a look of disbelieve when the French student described her school as prettier than Hogwarts. Nothing could be prettier than Hogwarts, it was the greatest school in the whole world! At least, it was to her. Hogwarts had been the place where she had learned everything she knew about magic. A whole new world had opened when she joined the school. She couldn't imagine there being a better wizarding school. Maybe that would change over time, just maybe. The gardens did sound nice, but Samantha wasn't ready to admit that just yet.

Elizabeth seemed really excited to join the girls and couldn't stop talking. Samantha didn't mind, she herself could talk a lot as well. "I have been to France a couple of times," the fourth year shared. "My grandmother still has a house there from before she moved to the UK." Her whole family had spend a couple of summers there over the years. However, it had been impossible to go during the past few summers as they were way too busy with other plans. "There is no need to apologize for talking," she smiled to reassure the younger girl.

"You know Japanese?" Samantha asked in awe. "That's so cool!" Japanese was such a different language than English, Dutch or French. "I know Dutch because I grew up in the Netherlands for a big part of my life. I am currently also trying to learn French. It's not going very well if I am being totally honest but I should still have enough time to learn more," she shared. Honestly, she really should spend more time learning the language. It had been easier to procrastinate on her language studies since she wasn't receiving any grades for it and had mostly been learning it by herself. After that, Samantha turned back to her bracelet to continue working on it. She really needed to get it done as fast as possible. There were still a lot of other bracelets left that she had to make!
