Pressures of the outside world.
"Friends?" Jo scoffed, "Don't make me laugh. I have standards" a look come over her face as if she had smelled something foul. From what Jo had seen, friend was a word that got thrown around a lot. What use was having somebody from a worthless family in your life if they didn't have anything unique to add? All this girl seemed to add was disrespect. Father said there was enough of that in the world as it was.
"Not everything belongs to you so get use to it. Now you can run to your daddy or you can fight for yourself other than the second option your useless." Jo frowned. She didn't like being called a coward right to her face, she discovered. She also didn't like the idea of brawling. She didn't want to chip the nails she had made the house elf spend so long perfecting. She retched into her pocket, looking for anything useful. A fresh pumpkin pasty! Perfect. "I believe you need a snack, maybe it would make you less of a prat" she said sweetly before grabbing the treat and reaching up to smear it in the other girl's face. She fully intended to grind the pasty into a fine cream on Dianna's face to cover up that smug look she was wearing.
"That is Jo to you"
