Danielle always wondered about her destiny. What was her purpose in the world? Who would she become? Would she be a magizoologist like her mother? A ministry worker like her father? Danielle didn't know, and she often spent time thinking about it. At night, she'd stare up at the ceiling, thinking to herself, "Who am I meant to be?

Now that her Hogwarts letter had finally arrived at the Alden Residence, some of Danielle's thoughts about her destiny and the future were silenced with the knowledge that her journey was to start soon, just as the universe had intended it to. And she knew, that no matter what happened in the next seven years of schooling, she'd find her purpose. She'd find her destiny, just as the universe had willed it to be.

Word travels around Hogwarts like wildfires, the gossip spreading from one student to the next, until eventually, in a matter of only mere hours, the entire school knew the latest gossip and tales.

"Did you hear about that sixth-year Gryffindor who jumped in the black lake earlier today? I heard he arm wrestled the giant squid." Danielle spoke to a few of her Ravenclaw friends, spreading around the newest tale from that day. "Apparently, he used a bubblehead charm, and just jumped in." Dani said.

"I heard it was rock, paper, scissors." One of her friends said, her eyebrows furrowed.

"Nah, pretty sure it was an arm wrestle. One of my friends in Gryffindor said that when he came out, there were suction marks all over him from the tentacles!" Danielle claimed.

Danielle laughed with her friends as a new song came on the radio. Sleepovers really were some of the best times ever. Dani sang along, dancing rather gracefully while some of her other friends were... not so graceful. Her graceful dancing came to an automatic halt as she caught a glimpse of one of her friends before she nearly doubled over in laughter, struggling to get words out.

"You... dance like... the whomping... willow!"

13-year-old Danielle grinned as she entered Hogsmeade for the first time, her mind set on one thing and one thing only. Zonkos joke shop. She didn't care about Honeydukes, or the Three Broomsticks, or the other shops in Hogsmeade. She'd explore later. All she wanted to do was go to Zonkos.

Danielle immediately split away from the group of their years, rushing over to the joke shop and entering eagerly. Grinning, Danielle marveled at all the pranking supplies in the shop. Finding her personal favorites on shelves and hooks, she grabbed a bunch of supplies, stocking up for a while.

After grabbing all she wanted from the store, Danielle smiled happily as she handed over the required amount of money to the woman at the counter, muttering thanks before taking off with a wide smile. Oh how she loved Zonkos.
