Interacting with @Elisa Wagner Date - 05/12/23 WC 422/200 Color Legend - Mylo | Thoughts He knew he wasn't saying it correctly, even hearing Elisa say it didn't sound right. It made them feel even more defeated, as they were definitely wrong. Unfortunately she also couldn't remember the correct incantation for the spell, which surprised Mylo ever so slightly as she seemed to always do so well in class, but he tried his best to not let it show on their face.
As she went to try the spell herself Mylo noticed her hesitating, it was like she couldn't think of anything that would make the spell work, and it made them a little worried. People wouldn't usually completely forget stuff like that, although it might just have to do with a sense of pressure.
Deciding to try and take that pressure of her, they moved back in front of the lock, and started the spell again. This time with the intent to try different incantations to see which one would stick. He was more focused on trying to get Elisa feeling better than the fact that a wrong incantation could do some serious damage so he didn't even think of that. But off they went.
"Okay, what I'm going to do is just try different incantations. There's only 4 syllables so 4 possible incantations. Cull-LOW-pore-tus we've already tried and doesn't work." They state, as much for Elisa as for themselves. Doing the wand movement again they try another pronunciation.
CULL-low-pore-tus
Again there was nothing, not even a small click. "Okay, so that's not it either. 50/50 now. Let's try one of the last two options." Once again they lift their wand to do the movement again.
Cull-low-PORE-tus
Suddenly he hears a click, and the lock springs open. 'So we did have the wrong incantation. We'll done on taking accurate notes dude.' He squashed the thoughts that came rushing into their mind, happy that it had finally worked and that neither Linda nor themselves had to worry about it any more.
"Finally, thanks for your help. I'm not sure I would have gotten that I wrote down the wrong incantation without you."
'Maybe as a thank you you should ask her if she wants to go to dinner together? Might be nice as she's just helped you not flunk.' The thought passed through his mind, it felt a little sarcastic but it was a good idea nonetheless.
"Uhm. If you want to do you maybe want to go to dinner together? If you want to that is, you don't have to or anything."

"Of course! That's so obvious!" Elisa exclaimed.
A sensation of stupidness overcame Elisa. Had she been that stupid? She could've even tried Mylo's solution, at the very least. If anyone had insulted her, she had never, ever been called as 'stupid'. But now, however, she had just proven that she had been, indeed very stupid. Stupid. Elisa carefully considered that word.
She brushed all the thoughts away. All that mattered was that Mylo had his problem solved, it didn't matter who or in what way the problem was solved. No, it didn't matter in the slightest.
"Well, congrats, you figured that out!" Ahem... That sounded as though Elisa already knew hte answer and was waiting for Mylo to figure it out himself.
"I mean... I never thought of... Of figuring out the correct incantation that way..." that sounded as though it was a dumb way of finding the incantation, while it was now. What was wrong with Elisa's brain today?
"I mean, it was a smart way, and it would've saved us much time..." Was that the correct response? Well, it would have to be...
And then... Are they asking me out for dinner? No no no, Mylo hadn't formulated his words like that. They had said, 'If you want to do you maybe want to go to dinner together'. There was 'if you want to', then 'maybe', to show that it was just a proposal. So, no, it wasn't anything more than a nice proposal between friends.
Nonetheless, Elisa felt weird about it all. First, Mylo was a Ravenclaw student, and while she would've loved to be in Ravenclaw, she was not, and had found herself in Slytherin. That meant they weren't at the same table. Besides, she always brought a book to read while eating, she never ate with friends.
Rather awkwardly, Elisa politely denied the proposal. "I'm really sorry, but I'd rather eat dinner on my own... See I've got this book I want to continue... That was not a justifiable argument, since she had all her time for reading after dinner. She hoped it would suffice.

Interacting with @Elisa Wagner Date - 05/12/23 WC 266/200 Color Legend - Mylo | Thoughts Elisa seemed to be rambling on, Mylo knew this because he did exactly the same. Overthinking what they said so that nothing would come out wrong and then backtracking when they did think they'd said something wrong. She seemed even more nervous than he was at that moment with the excitement of having mastered the spell still fresh in their brain, so their brain finally kicked into gear and let them communicate like a 'regular' person would.
"No worries, I probably wouldn't have figured out that I was saying the incantation wrong without you to be honest. And I wouldn't have been able to sleep properly knowing that I was doing something wrong. Now I just need to make sure that I take proper notes in the future. So thanks." He states, hoping to calm her nerves a little.
After having made the proposal for dinner Mylo for whatever reason became ever so slightly nervous again so didn't notice anything about Elisa thinking about it. So when she declined their offer he didn't think much about it. Agreeing with her that sometimes eating by yourself and reading a good book is actually better than eating with others.
"That's fair. I hope the book is good, I'm currently reading the spooks apprentice which is quite good. Would recommend it if you're looking for more books to read. Uhm, anyway. I'll go and have food now, thanks for helping me again, I really appreciate it. I hope you enjoy tea and your book." He says, getting their things to leave the room and go and have some food.
Mylo will leave the classroom to go get food, thus leaving the thread.
