Closed PV Dashing Through the Snow…Wait, Where are you Going?!

@Tracey Bailey
Matilde listened intently to Tracey’s description of her dorm and common room. “That sounds beautiful! I would love all the blue, it’s such a calming color. It’s not one I’d usually identify as a favorite, but I do like it.” Matilde paused. Maybe she was talking about colors too much. “Also the bookshelves sound wonderful! Do you like to read?” Reading was one of Matilde’s favorite pastimes, and she had found at Hogwarts so far that it was a good idea to look for others that shared this. Many of her good friends also liked to read. She supposed she’d make a lot of Ravenclaw friends this way. Maybe she could have been in Ravenclaw herself, but Hufflepuff definitely fit too. Matilde was a generally happy and kind person, and she had definitely found a home in the house of acceptance.

After standing there for a while, Pepper had become calm in her arms. Matilde’s panic too had dispersed after talking to Tracey. She felt maybe it would be okay now to introduce their pets. Matilde gently set Pepper down in the snow. The little gray bunny immediately hopped over to the tabby cat. She hopped around him in a little circle. Matilde laughed. “I guess Pepper likes cats!”

Tracey had a feeling that Matilde was surprised by the fact that Tracey didn't like reading, but she didn't mind. A lot of people were surprised when she told them that she didn't like reading, so it wasn't anything new. Hearing Matilde speak, Tracey nodded her head in agreement before saying,
"That's true! But all the Ravenclaw's I've met seem to love reading! Perhaps they could help me love reading as well. I truly want to give it a try again,"

After she finished speaking, Tracey looked at the two pet's in front of her with a big smile on her face. She enjoyed watching the two animals bouncing and rolling in the snow together and it made her say,
"Indeed, they are cute! I should've brought my drawing book! I could've drawn this scene and we would've remembered it forever!"

Though she didn't draw much, Tracey was an ok drawer. She wasn't the best, but her drawings are improving every time she draws, which is a good thing. As she was deep in her thoughts, Tracey suddenly shivered and noticed that she was getting cold. Hearing her friend suggest getting hot cocoa from the Great Hall, Tracey smiled at her before saying,
"Sure! Let's go!"

After she said that, Tracey slowly began to make her way towards the castle. As she was walking, she noticed that Tiger stopped rolling in the snow and began running after her since he didn't want to get lost from his owner. As she was walking, Tracey looked back to see if her friend was following her or not.

Matilde had to admit she was surprised that Tracey didn’t like to read. She didn’t think she’d met any other Ravenclaws that didn’t enjoy books. Even so, she tried to reassure Tracey, “I’m sure there have got to be others. I’ve meet plenty of people who aren’t a stereotype of their house, and some who were surprised by where they were placed. Not everything is as it seems around here, is it not?”

Again Matilde giggled at the two first years’ pets. The cat and bunny were doing what cats and bunnies do best, bouncing and rolling around in the snow. “Oh, they are cute,” she exclaimed.

Matilde looked around at the grounds again, enjoying the beauty and magic of the scene. She could never get tired of the snow. However… she was getting a bit cold. “Oh my, it is chilly,” she said. The young witch had been outside long enough that the winter breeze was starting to get to be too much for her pink fleece to keep out. She wrapped her arms tightly around her chest, trying to warm herself up. Maybe she could get tired of snow. “Hey Tracey, do you want to go get some hot cocoa or something from the Great Hall?”
