Kaitlyn smiled at Genny. “That’s perfectly fine. I get the feeling,” she sympathized with her new friend. She was glad they were able to climb up there together despite her initial reservations about being in a skirt. She enjoyed climbing trees, and for that matter, enjoyed wearing skirts. She made a mental note to start wearing a skort when she wanted to climb trees, so she wouldn’t be as weird about it.

As she sat in the tree with Genny, Kaitlyn was well aware of other students walking around the tree they were in. Her face flushed lightly at the attention, but she didn’t engage their looks. She didn’t particularly care what they thought. She only cared what Genny thought and what she thought, for that matter. And she was rather enjoying herself. She only hoped that Genny was enjoying herself.

Hearing Genny’s voice, Kaitlyn turned to look at her new friend. “Ah, I’m sorry for keeping you from all that work,” she apologized, feeling bad. She hugged Genny back and smiled at her. “It was nice meeting you too. I look forward to when we can hang out again,” she promised the Hufflepuff. She watched as Genny climbed down the tree, waving to her, as she scampered off.

With a sigh, Kaitlyn stayed up in the tree for about half an hour more, before climbing down herself and heading back to her common room.
