Lost in Hogwarts

As the two had walked through Hogwarts, from whatever strange hall Rory had ended up at to the library, he really tried to pay attention to the directions. While normally not so bothered about ensuring he could travel independently, entering Hogwarts had marked a change for the boy - a push for independence, with no parents to rely on to help him traverse. While fortunate to have encountered the Ravenclaw student, he realized that it would be necessary to make similar trips for years to come.
Rory and Renelle had just about reached the library as the boy considered the connections he had made at Hogwarts. While the Gryffindor student was initially discouraged, and undeniably terrified, by the process of making new friends, talking to other students had made him realize that there were always going to be people suited for Rory. He just had to find them. Or they had to find him stumbling around two floors from his destination.
Still quite pleased by meeting his new friend Renelle, Rory was happy to see her speak up a little. He was glad that he had noticed that he was talking so much, or the conversation would have been rather one-sided. "Uhhh… Yes?” She replied to his inquiry. Perhaps she was feeling the same kind of confusion about her role as a Ravenclaw as Rory had about being a Gryffindor. Never did it cross Rory's mind that the question might be considered strange, and intrusive.
With the library doors a few footsteps away, the girl with dark eyes had stopped to let Rory go. “We’re here," she announced.
The blonde-haired boy was rather grateful for her help, and decided to thank her profusely, for the second time. "Thank you so much, Renelle. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't helped me. If you ever get lost, and I'm there too, I promise I'll help you!" Rory didn't consider how few people would actually want his help if they were lost. It would probably lead to greater disaster.
"We should really hang out sometime! Have a nice day!" He waved his hand enthusiastically, before turning around and slipping in to library. The door closed with a gentle thud.
