"That does sound nice. I bet Aura would love to have another animal to play with for a change." Madi's energetic ferret could never get enough playtime. She loved to chase Madi around, loved jumping on her. She was always getting into trouble when she wasn't sleeping, but she did sleep quite often. It was when Madi could catch a break.
Madi nodded and listened to Linda. "Definitely." she thought about how weird it was that her little sister would grow up knowing about magic but never being part of it, and how Madi grew up not knowing about magic but ended up being part of it. It was like they were reversed. (Well, she didn't actually know if her sister wouldn't be magic in the future. She just assumed.)
Linda offered that Madi come with her to the castle to feed Lila, but Madi estimated the time and decided she still had a little bit of time to see her friends in the common room, and she wanted to explain to them why she'd ditched them. "That sounds really nice, but I actually have somewhere I should be. Thank you for coming over. You made me feel so much better. You did too, Lila." she said, and then stood up.
