Thoughts
Mahlioz grinned when Simon thanked her for sharing what she had. "Of course!" In all honesty, she felt like thanking him for listening to her. It felt liberating to share these things, especially with someone who was willing to learn them. It wasn't like it hurt not to speak about them, or that she couldn't be happy without doing so, but it just made her overjoyed to know that she could help someone else, teach them, what she knew.

She had to agree when Simon said it was nice to speak to another Scot. The only obvious other Scot she knew was a third year named Colin, who was rather peculiar. Though she heard the accent from time to time, it was nice to be speaking to someone - a friend - who came from the same country.
Suddenly, an older Ravenclaw boy walked over to them and said something to Simon about someone who needed him. Mahlioz couldn't help but look away, slightly disappointed. Of course Simon had other things to do, but she still wished they could have had a little more time together. There was more she wanted to know about him, more she wanted him to know... but that would have to wait.

"Yeah, of course," she said when Simon asked if she'd excuse him. "We'll have to meet up again, and keep in touch through owls." She smiled a little at her appointed nickname. "Yeah, sure, Qrow calls me Mahl too," she said, before adding, "Qrow Beithir, sorry. I don't know if you know them... And your questions were in no way stupid!"

When the other second year went on to say how much he appreciated her speaking about these topics with him and answering his questions. Mahlioz smiled, more genuinely this time. "Don't worry about it. I appreciate you listening to me. And being there for me - when I came out. That was the first time I came out as asexual, the other day."
Simon wished her a good rest of her day, before smiling one last time and disappearing between the bookshelves. Mahlioz just sat there for a few more minutes, not sure what to think, sitting in the silence. Then she too got up and left the library to go to her common room, already looking forward to the next time they would see each other.
Mahlioz has left the thread.
