Salina didn't know enough about all the blood status culture to have too much of an opinion, but what she did know was that she wasn't going to tolerate anything like racism, even if it was to do with magic inheritance. She felt like discrimination in general was dumb, but also knew that some people could take advantage of their differences, like playing the victim. She wondered how her parents being muggles would affect her school life...Well, actually, it's not going to, and I'll make sure of that.

She laughed at what Yun-Xin said. "But what's up with this pureblood stuff? It just sounds wrong...and where does muggle even come from?" Salina wished such judgmental people would just focus on simpler things, especially if they were children. From the way Yun-Xin expressed herself it seemed like this Muggleborn and Pureblood thing was something deep and painful.

At the mention of lunch, Salina's stomach growled. She frowned down at her belly and then back up at the girl. "Yes. And I figured," she replied, referring to the comment about getting to school at night. "I made a delicious sub sandwich for me." She pat a small bag near her, which crinkled a little from the sound of paper. "Lots of tasty meats amongst other things. Except pork. My family doesn't eat that." She also had a ziploc bag of sliced fruits and her canteen of water, which she took a sip from.

After Salina's question, Yun-Xin, hesitant at first, began speaking on what had been on her mind, what had been bothering now and seemingly for a long while now. Her parent's relationship, if you could call it that, was being heavily affected because of an affair, and what made it worse was that her father was being narcissistic about it. And then the woman messing with things wanted to call the girl a 'freak' because of her magic prowess! Salina found that behavior heavily disgusting, even as a newly eleven year old.

After she finished Salina shook her head in disgust. "That's really terrible that you went through that. I can't imagine how messed up inside I would feel if my own parents..." She knew things like this rarely ended well. "Grown ups usually don't care what they do to other grown ups, truly, but it's messed up thinking about that maybe your dad wasn't even thinking of you in all of this! And you probably felt all alone...actually, what does your mum think about the lady, and what she says to you? How do your parents both feel about you being a witch, and going off to this school?"
