Alyssea shook her head. "Yeah, most Muggle items are battery-powered, so they use electricity which doesn't work at Hogwarts or any wizarding estate."

Maybe the world should invent a battery-less camera. Or, wait, did solar-powered cameras exist? Technically, they'd still run on electricity, but the camera's battery would be reliant on sunlight rather than something that had a limited lifespan. As long as it had exposure to sunlight, it would work, right?

That was a theory she'd have to test another day.

"Wait," Alyssea paused. Did she hear that correctly? "You have a mansion? That's so cool!"

Since Alyssea spent most of her childhood moving around the globe, small and cozy homes or apartments made more sense than big family homes. While her parents did try to accommodate their growing children's needs, it still felt too small. but by the time Alyssea was nine and they finally settled down in England, she appreciated the small homes they lived in purely because they were easier to clean.

Linda didn't seem to mind her hesitance on posing, instead saying, "Oh it's okay. I'll help you and let you see, if you like it that's awesome."

Alyssea nodded and started off with a simple stance and a bent knee. Then, Linda got her to walk up and down the place, looking at the sky and smiling (genuinely). Alyssea laughed a couple of times at how awkward she felt pretending to be all the positive emotions Linda wanted. This was different than being on stage and playing a happy character. No, she had to bring some of her own genuity into it.

After a few more shots, Linda called her over to have a look. She hopped over and gasped as she watched the little cinematic frames. "Oh, they're so cute! Thank you!"

She loved them, genuinely. The frames where you could see her just laughing were some of her favourites. "I think I'm okay with these ones," Alyssea said. She didn't want to impose more. "How would you be able to print these?"

A mansion with three floors?! Talk about a dream to explore. "It's a small unit with a garden in the back. Two floors. My room's upstairs."

While she described the house as small, the space worked out for the three of them. They had an empty room that worked as both a guest bedroom and her brother's room whenever he came home. Since she spent more than 10 months in a year at Hogwarts, the house was big enough for her parents. The castle was big enough for her.

Alyssea was happy to have photos from her time at Hogwarts. She felt a bit bad since she had nothing to offer Linda. Since Muggle cameras wouldn't work on the grounds, she couldn't take any photos of Linda. She could embroider! But she didn't have any materials. Besides, the last time she did embroidery was two years ago.

"Thank you. Do we have any classes together? Because otherwise, I wouldn't mind them by letter or in-person. Just gotta find a good time," Alyssea chuckled.

As for a theme, she wasn't sure exactly what Linda meant. Did she mean like a photoshoot? Because if so, Alyssea shook her head with a smile. Again, she didn't want to impose too much. This wasn't the first time they'd met each other, but they weren't close yet to be considered friends.

She looked back to the castle. Was it time for lunch, yet?

She turned back to Linda. "Hey, I think it's almost time for lunch. Do you want to head back to the castle together?"

Lunch was a good time to get to know each other, Alyssea figured.

Linda had a music room?! Okay, it made sense since her first interaction with Linda was in the Rehearsal Room. But a room dedicated to music? Alyssea could only dream.

Linda also had an observatory! (That's the right word, right?) While Alyssea wasn't particularly a fan of astronomy, she still found the idea of having a place to observe the stars a neat place. To have the equipment and the right architecture for it probably cost a lot, too.

As she tried to recollect her memories from classes, not many red robes stood out to her. Was it rare for Hufflepuff and Gryffindor to share a class? She obviously knew a lot of her Hufflepuff classmates, a few Slytherin and Ravenclaw students here and there. Yeah, probably had to widen her social circle some more.

She gave Linda a nod. "Right, we'll see each other when we can. For now, let's head off to the Great Hall."

Alyssea was glad Linda took up the offer of going to lunch together. It would've been awkward to just walk away now that she'd gone for a breath of fresh air. While they wouldn't be able to sit directly next to each other, Alyssea was sure the teachers wouldn't mind her popping in to say hi.
