Prince among the Duellists
There was a calculating look in Dee's eyes as she scanned the four kids in front of her, trying to judge their capabilities. Most of them were visiting from other schools and she didn't know them yet. The sunny girl from Durmstrang - Maila - received a wink in return for her smile, and the blonde from Koldovstoretz got a nod in confirmation before Dee went back to judging them.
Raizel she knew, and she also knew Raizel's interest in charms. Who knew what spells the girl had learned since the last time Dee had mercilessly kicked her butt. That might be something to watch out for.
It was also what decided her first targets. Two of the girls, skinny, small, not unlike Dee herself. They would be easier to take out early. Despite her promise of fire, Dee went with water instead; she knew how distracting it was to get blasted by a stream of water, leaving you blinking and sputtering. Her attack hit Raizel solidly, but narrowly missed the blonde, and Dee clicked her tongue, dissatisfied.
As expected, she didn't have too much to fear from the children. Three spells were easily dodged and side-stepped; Raizel's wind jinx went so far astray that she didn't have to bother. Dee snorted. "Come on, you can do better than that!" she called over to her 'protegé', although she admittedly wasn't upset that this particular spell hadn't come close. Ventus. A third year spell. She'd known.
The other notable attack came from the sulky boy, and received a wrinkled nose. Blindfolds. She'd hoped for a duel without those, but should have known better. At least he turned out to be more entertaining than expected, and Dee used the pause between the spells for a quick twirl, flicking her hair. "Why, thank you, I know," she responded, grinning. "You, on the other hand, have some room for improvement. But I'm sure you can get there if you try really hard!"

So sorry about the delay - I don't have a computer atm, and frankly just thought I had more time.

Prince among the Duellists

Role-playing as Angelique Selemine
That girl was astonishing. Dealla managed to evade everything with ease and a flick of her hair, Angelique gazed at her in awe. The ravenclaw seemed to be a really good duelist - and quick to react. She said as much out loud.
"Wow, you're so good! You evade well." Angelique commented, remembering as her own spell Flipendo was cast - Dealla stepped aside easily.
On the bright side no spells had hit her - yet, she remembered and tried to focus on what spell to cast next to try aim for victory. The situation looked dire, especially after just the first round. Hopefully there would be more time to improve later. The Broom Racer planned what spell to cast - Dealla seemed to be perfectly fine after the first round, but her own team were slightly injured.
Holding her wand in her hand, she targeted her eyes to her opposing team - well, more of one person - and ran all spells she knew off the top of her head in her mind. After the fact that she wasn't harmed, she wondered if she would be the next target because of that. There was still hope to win the duel - but anyway, they would have fun.
