When he heard that Alyssea mentioned Professor Baird as the only person she knew, he chuckled along with her. He somewhat could understand her because he also experienced the same except the person he knew was not only one, but two. "I also only knew two people in my cabin. Clair Fernandez, a Ravenclaw Prefect, and Professor McLoughlin." Then he added, "That's cool! Summer camp was indeed very exciting. I joined the pet fair and watched sports games between the schools," he said. He realized that he didn't join many activities because he trained his pet owl and himself for duelling. But he couldn't say that because he was just too shy to say it. "Oh! It must be fun there! I mean, the Fourth of July celebration. It must be great to know students from other schools," he said.

His shyness had decreased by the sweets. Thanks to Cicely and her sweets. "I see... It is great to be able to eat your sweets again," he said. He took one of the sweets in his hand that he had taken from Cicely earlier again. "Ooh! You gave me a good idea, Cicely! I should also bring some sweets from home and Diagon Alley when going back to school after the next holiday." His cheeks was not red anymore. Let's hope that he wouldn't remember the embarrassing thing he did earlier.

"... You duel, right? What's that like?", Zach was surprised by her question. He was just a new member of the rooster and didn't have many duels either. He thought for some seconds and said, "Uhm... Actually, my reason when applying to the duelling team was to utilise the opportunity to use magic as I can't do it when I'm home. And I see many duellists are so cool. So I joined them. My first duel was unofficial. If you ask me, It somewhat gave me some mixed feelings when casting some spells on other opponents. I... Sorry, I can't describe it," he said. "Maybe you should try it once. I mean, the duel." Zach was really bad at describing his feelings and he felt sorry for not helping with his answer.

"Oh you should! Do you have any thought about the sports you want to join?" Zach asked Alyssea. Then he turned his head to his Gryffindor friend, "What about you, Cicely? Do you also interested in sports in our school?"

Cicely, luckily, understood Alyssea's rejection which soothed her worries. Had she not already engulfed a cauldron cake, a few chocolate frogs, and a handful of fudge flies from Madison, she would've been eager to accept Cicely's offer. Her mother told her it was always nice to accept things if people offered, but her stomach just couldn't take any more food.

"Ah I'm in Gryffindor," Cicely paused. "The best house of course."

"I hope we can agree to disagree because I'm in Hufflepuff and I think Hufflepuff is the best house," she said with a light laugh.

After having a bite of her own sweets, Cicely grumbled. "Ohh. The sweets I made are rank."

Alyssea tilted her head at the comment. "What did you make? I'm sure they're not that bad, right?"

Meanwhile, Zach looked surprised by her sudden question. There was a bit of a pause until he responded, saying, "Uhm... Actually, my reason when applying to the duelling team was to utilise the opportunity to use magic as I can't do it when I'm home. And I see many duellists are so cool."

Alyssea nodded with a hum. The duelling team in Hufflepuff had some pretty well-known members, all of whom Alyssea had never spoken a word to but only saw in passing in the commons. While they were very cool people (not sarcastic), she did wonder what kind of preparation went into duelling.

"Maybe you should try it once. I mean, the duel," Zach said.

Alyssea shrugged. "Maybe. I don't know how well I'd do being up against other people. I did consider doing broom racing, but I don't remember the rules much. I might have a look at them again once we get back to Hogwarts."

She turned to Cicely. "Yeah, are you interested in any sports?"

Zach chucked when he heard the two girls said that their houses were the best. "Ravenclaw is the best for sure," he thought. But he was sure inside his heart, the arguments would not have an ending. They were from different houses. If a Slytherin came to them, they would be complete.

The sound of the train was still heard loudly. Zach didn't know when it would stop. It seemed that they perhaps still have a long way to go. He focused again to the girls. He listened to Alyssea response and nodded. "Yeah! Broom racing is cool! I watched it in Summer Sports Game and couldn't help but to be amazed by the players. How can they don't have the fear on their environment challenges? Some of them also managed the challenges well," he said excitedly. His experience when watching broom racing really unforgettable. If he didn't have the fear of heights, he would also try to do broom racing.

"Uh... If you don't mind, maybe we can try duelling. You know... The friendly match that completely safe... Maybe it will help you grasped a view and experience in duelling," he said. Then he added, "It would be fun," while giving her a bright smile.

The summer broom racing games were certainly a way of introducing the sport to Alyssea, she thought as she listened to Zach's thoughts. Prior to summer camp, she had only heard of the sport in passing whenever she heard of Hufflepuff's progress in the races. But seeing it in person was an eye-opening experience.

She wasn't good at flying, per se, but if she had to join a sport, it would be that one.

She nodded as Zach continued. "Yeah, it was so cool. Like, they can use spells either on each other or the ground, so you really gotta multitask. Wonder how hard that is for some of the people."

"Uh... If you don't mind, maybe we can try duelling," Zach said.

Alyssea's eyes widened at the offer. Duelling? With someone? She wasn't on her house's duelling team, so was that even allowed? She had also never been in the Duelling Club, so she wasn't aware of any rules in there.

Zach then continued. "You know.. The friendly match that's completely safe... Maybe it will help you grasp a view and experience in duelling."

Alyssea hummed as she considered the options. Having a duelling debut before being on the official teams didn't sound like a bad idea. Besides, as Zach said, it might be what makes or breaks her decision to sign herself up for the team. At the moment, it was only an option that had a better chance than signing up for Quidditch.

"It would be fun," he said while giving her a smile.

She returned the smile and shrugged. "You know what? Sure. I can't say I'll be any good but I'm excited to try it."

Mentally, now, she had a duel to prepare for. Whenever that would be would come later.

"Right," Alyssea said as she leaned back into the hallway of the train carriage, "It's been lovely to talk to you guys, Zach and Cicely. I hope we'll see each other around. I have my compartment buddy to go back to."

She smiled and waved as she closed their compartment door and headed back to her own compartment.
