My dear, dear Miles,
Well, it doesn't have houses. I wish it did, though. They would probably name it after Brazilian animals like jaguars to represent courage, or something like that. I don't know how, they just do? Yes it does make it harder I guess. However, it's actually rather organized, and peaceful. I guess it's also because there aren't many students, well, kind of, there are a lot of students, but not as many as in Hogwarts and Ilvermorny.

That sounds rather nice. And, yeah, you writing back has provided me something to do while I'm at school. I am, also a bit glad that your owls have found me.

I understand a bit having parents like your own must be (what's the right word?) difficult, however I will never actually understand, because, my parents are very different from your own.

Yes, I feel like Slytherin also fits me a lot. If I was in Hogwarts, I'd probably be a Ravenclaw, Slytherin would be my second, Gryffindor my third, and Hufflepuff my fourth. I am planning on going to the Summer Camp there, and I am kind of excited to go there, since I have heard it is a very big school.
That's all,
Lorelai

My Dearest Lorelai,

Hogwarts reminds me much of camping, so it would be a wonderful location to hold Summer Camp. It is within the beautiful Scottish Highlands and is absolutely no frills. Then again, magic doesn't need all that fancy stuff, but it does lend my mind to wander sometimes to how Beauxbatons might be.

Wouldn't think I'm pretty enough for a place like Beauxbatons. My skin isn't a pale porcelain and my hair not so platinum blond that it appears white. I also see them having no tone to their bodies, just slender nearly ghosts walking around that place - at least for the males.

In the past, Hogwarts has stuck their visiting school in the campground, in either cabins or tents. I'm definitely looking to a summer's month of that as opposed to last year. Last year, the magical community's camp was at London's Stadium for quidditch and I love quidditch as much as the next guy but that was not Summer Camp.

Maybe I'll see you there. Maybe. I would think with them letting in members from so many wizarding schools that it would be easy to get lost in the shuffle.

Unfortunately, onto schoolwork,
Miles

My dear, dear Miles,
Yes, I've heard it is very beautiful place, and well, if you say so.. I've also heard Beauxbatons is a very pretty school, and it would be cool to hold Summer Camp there. Have you ever been to France? I have. It's a very beautiful country, with lots to see. I would recommend going to see the Eiffel Tower.

Yeah, I also think I wouldn't fit in with all the Beauxbatons students. My skin is way too tan and my hair is definitely way too dark. And honestly, French people have way too many manners, like sometimes it seems like they all share one personality.

I agree. Summer Camp is Summer Camp. I've been to a few different (muggle) Summer Camps and they were really fun. But, the Hogwarts Summer Camp will definitely be different from the Muggle Camps. I think the Hogwarts Summer Camp will be much better, because of, well, magic and all the activities.

Yep, maybe. But, since there will be many activities, I might not see you, and honestly, I don't even know how you look like, so... Yeah. We might ever not met, presently, but I guess that's fine right? I can still say that I know you, since we know each other from our owls.

My Dearest Lorelai,

I have not visited the Eiffel Tower although I have seen it from the distance. In my trips to Paris, I have never ventured out much as I feel it is absolutely full of muggles.

I do find France to be a beautiful country and know a little bit of the language. France is amazing. It is the only place you can find Angelica heterocarpa, a leopard's bane Doronicum corsicum, a fern Asplenium jahandiezii, and so many more brilliant plants.

We've gone there several times while my parents studied a certain herd of native thestrals that they find quite interesting for some reason or another. I won't take away that thestrals are astonishing creatures, I just cannot say I understand why this group in particular has caught their attention. I'm sure there's a reason - they're both skilled in their area of expertise.

So I suppose my view on Paris is limited. We never stayed in the city so I cannot speak to its value. Most muggle cities confuse me. I do enjoy London though because it has Diagon Alley. Otherwise, besides there and the Ministry and St. Mungos, I haven't seen any of it. I haven't been on one of their two tiered red riding carriages or anything.

I have found in my travels so far that New Zealand is the most beautiful. I have also enjoyed Ireland. Here in the United States, we have some brilliant landscapes. I think most tend to think of the United States in terms of the Midwest States, but we've got striking fall colors in Vermont, red rocks and canyons of the West, the blankets of evergreens in the Pacific Northwest where I call home - mountains, oceans, and more.

Do you enjoy traveling? I would like it more if it felt I had a home to come back to,

Miles

My dear, dear Miles,
Understandable... The tower is always full of muggles, and there isn't a time of year when it's empty. I have gotten the chance to climb to the top. The view was incredible, but I was very tired of course.

I also know a bit of French. It's a very different language from English, don't you think? Of course my first language isn't English, it's actually Portuguese. Have you ever been to Brazil?

I've been to London, once, and it's very pretty, and of course, Diagon Alley is very large and has got lots of cool shops to check out, so it's worth browsing. I've also bought some items there, of course.

The most beautiful place I've been was probably to Italy or maybe Thailand, but Japan was very nice, and I absolutely loved Mexico, though I haven't been to New Zealand yet. In Brazil, we have lots of beaches and the Amazon Rainforest, which is very big and pretty. There's also the Crist Redeemer. In the city I live, Santos, there's a beach, I love to go to the beach in my free time, and it's also very beautiful. Also, do you prefer mountains or the beach?

That's all,
Lorelai

My Dearest Lorelai,

It seems you have traveled quite extensively. It would be something if over one of our breaks from school, or perhaps you call them holidays like the Hogwarts students, that we pick a location and meet - sort of like a blind date without the date part. Something tells me that would be most interesting, especially since I am not entirely sure if we'd get along when interacting. A social experiment, for sure.

I love a beach, although the beaches near my home are rocky beaches and not the sandy beaches that most think of. I love the mountains, too. Honestly, I love nature and whether that's the sea or sky, the mountains or beaches, the flowers or the moss. I love being outdoors in general and I could see myself packing up a tent and hiking the world if I could upon graduation.

But we have to get through these years first before we can get to graduation. Term is most likely about to begin for you there as it is for us at Ilvermorny. I'm looking forward to getting back to quidditch but not looking forward to the essays and assignments. It was nice to be free of that for the Summer.

Wishing you well in your new school year,

Miles

My dear, dear Miles,
Yes, I have, in fact I love to travel. I would consider it more of a hobby, my family also enjoys traveling a lot. That would be- humm, interesting but also fun. I would love to do so! However, we must pick a location, where to?

The beach next to wear I call home is sandy, and comforting, I love it very much. Mountains as well. I love it when it snows and you climb all the way to the top of the mountain and then grab some hot cocoa. Of course it doesn't snow here in Brazil, but I have gone to places that have snow. I also love the great outdoors and would prefer being outside than inside. That's the thing about Castelobruxo, you can be indoors but feel as if you are outside.

True. Yes, it is. I am looking forward to broom racing and not looking forward to essays and homework. I have always hated homework. Yes, it was.

Good luck in your new school year,
Lorelai
