Mellani watched as other people entered. She was getting a bit nervous even though there wasn't much of a crowd and SHE wasn't the one in the duel. She wanted to see how the duel went though so, she decided to stay there.

Mellani rolled her eyes in disgust as Opal flirted with the other guy. Ew. Who did that kind of stuff at this age? Yes, Mellani had played Spin the Bottle with the Slytherins once but now she regretted it and wished that it had never happened. She certainly wasn't going to go around flirting with rendom people. But whatever Opal did wasn't her problem to deal with.

And then Alora entered and said hi to her. Or at least acknowledged her presence. Mellani gave Alora a friendly smile. "Hey." she said. And had Alora just called Opal her partner in crime? Wow, that in itself made Mellani nervous about her friendship with Alora. Would Opal spoil what little there was? Or would she just ignore it?

Then someone else entered. He was dressed in Slytherin green and silver. But judging from his question, he obviously wasn't a Slytherin. Looked like Caoimhe had quite the fan club.

And then another girl she recognized entered. She had sat next to this girl during Spin the Bottle. She watched as the girl introduced herself as a friend of Caoimhe's, Lilliana. And then the girl commented about Opal and the whole Spin the Bottle thing. Woah! Finally someone who shared Mellani's views about that day.

And then, Opal started throwing rude comments at the girl. What was up with her? It was like her whole life revolved around the Spin the Bottle. Why did she have to be ever so childish? Had one detention not taught her enough?

Mellani got up and sat farther away, not wanting to get involved in any of this and tried to concentrate more on the duel.

───── Out of the corner of Lilliana’s eye, she spotted an unfamiliar face. They wore colors that suggested they were supporting Slytherin, but the first year doubted they were a Snake. She would have recognized seeing their face in the common room by now. Odd. Lilliana thought to herself, merely shrugging. They had asked why so many Slytherins were in attendance, to which the Leveret boy responded that there was a snake that was ‘worth watching’ dueling. Cai. She honestly hadn't expected words of praise coming from him, especially about Caiomhe. Her glance briefly shifted toward Avery, long enough to catch his smirking expression, but (hopefully) quick enough that he wouldn't spot hers.

Lilliana had crafted a stone front, aiming to appear intimidating. She was intimidating, alright, but her cold structure didn't seem to affect him. His smirk seemed to grow even larger at her words, he was beginning to get under her skin, though Lilliana managed to not let it show. At her remark about Spin the Bottle, Avery had immediately shown his distaste for the game, earning a sly smile from Lilliana. The blonde haired girl didn't entirely disagree with his thoughts. Eleven did indeed seem far too young for a game of snogging (although the majority of the attendees were around that age), though at the time Spin the Bottle seemed captivating. Her decision to join was rather impulsive, she had to admit, but she didn't have regrets for joining -- The game did turn out fairly interesting.

Avery introduced himself, claiming that he was Caiomhe’s friend as well. “Really?” Lilliana said, pursing her lips. Friend? Caiomhe earlier said that the two had a complicated relationship, and from the way, Cai had described it and Avery said, it wasn't too hard to figure out the pureblood stretched the truth -- a lot. If Avery was sincere in what he said -- well, she would then have a lot of questions. With the intent of figuring out how Cai was associated with Avery, she decided to inquire further. “How interesting,” Lilliana said, feigning a smile, “How was it that the two of you met?” Lilliana asked, with a smirk of her own. Lilliana had heard about this boy from Cai, but there were many pieces still missing, the information she had given was painfully vague. Hopefully Avery could provide her with some more... Knowledge.

It didn't take long for Opal to shoot back, providing a snarky statement of her own. Sure, Lilliana had played Spin the Bottle, she’d give her that, but desperate? She had only spun the bottle once during the whole game! They had spun at least five times... That probably wasn’t the actual count, but she made a big scene about it! And Lilliana could tell how clingy they were after each kiss. Lilliana raised her eyebrows at her last statement. “Please, you just haven’t had the the luxury of snogging me. Perhaps next time,” Lilliana said with a wink, humming airily. Though if she was being truthful, she probably wouldn't attend another Spin the Bottle event until she was older... But her first kiss wasn’t horrible...

Alora chimed in, reminding everyone subtly about her dungbomb stunt. Lilliana couldn't help but smile at that. Now that was worth watching! Everyone cleared out rather quickly at that, and gave Lills quite a laugh afterward! Might have to ask Alora for a couple of dungbombs for herself... Lilliana laughed, “I have to admit, that was fun to see!” Lilliana said, her mood considerably brighter now. “Should bring dungbombs to every event...” Lilliana said, envisioning all the chaos fun the dungbombs could provide.

Then, before she knew it, Opal simply walked away! “She just walked away..?” Lilliana murmured. That's it. No remarks, no smirks, nothing. She just left casually! It did seem to be the wiser thing to do, leave before it escalated, and knowing Lilliana, it probably would. But that didn’t stop Lilliana from being drowned in confusion and annoyance. She already backed out! She barely even tried anything, then she just left? That was very un-snakelike behavior. The blond-haired girl watched as Opal left to go next to Colin, the boy she had snuggled with earlier, giving him a light kiss on the cheek. And she claims she wasn’t desperate? Lilliana said, smirking and inwardly rolling her eyes at Opal. She sighed. That was disappointing. But she would make sure to mention her interaction with a certain mudblood with Cai in the future...

Alora said another thing, about the duel this time, making Lilliana takes a long look at her friend. Caiomhe looked pretty attentiveve, from what she could see. She kept her eyes trained on her opponent and looked immersed in the duel already. That was good. Her eyes fell on the Gryffindork next. They appeared cheery and appeared very determined. Both participants displayed confidence. This will be an interesting duel.
