It seemed this lad, this fellow dorm mate of Khris', had a surprising and somewhat startling skill set.

Everything he did was at opposites. Or at least so it seemed.

It was a uniqueness. A peculiarity. A behaviour that was a tad bit worrisome if Khris was honest with himself. Incongruences in a personality were usually the signs of a shady character. A shapeshifting bully who would befriend you one moment only to ditch you a week later. And that was if you were lucky. It usually spoke of falsities and pretenses, backstabbing and blackmailing, gossip and lies and every sort of nasty business. It was something he'd learned to look out for. Something he'd learned to spot early on in people.

Still...

Michael didn't exactly seem like the scheming sort. His incongruences, though in place, were one's that seemed to be made honestly. The confident smirks followed by the nervous chuckles, the exuberant excitement replaced by nonchalance. The way he seemed to act with out thinking, jumping out at a whim back at the dorms and yet here he seemed to be contemplative about forming even a simple answer. They weren't falsities. At least, they didn't appear to be. It was just... him.

It was for this reason that Michael was an unknown. A unique. Incongruent and yet not wrong.

Khris watched as dark curls were pushed back from a flushed face, the breeze shifting it's weight in the branches above them. Maple leaves and their adolescent samaras trembled at the whoosh and the flowers and grasses bent beneath it's strength. It was beautiful and clean and just right for a magical school. Thrumming with energy.

The pages of Khris' sketchbook ruffled beneath it's fingers and the blond slowly exhaled.

Right then. A prod into action if I've ever seen one.

With out a word and only a shy smile to offer, Khris carefully flipped the book open to the first page.

I do intend on putting a few sketches here eventually. Leaves, flowers, various wildlife and such, all labeled and with emphasis on Khris' love for the combination of knowledge and art. I just don't have them quite finished yet and I was getting impatient to post this reply. So. just pretend that they're here for now and try not to be too disappointed when my actual drawings are way worse than what you've envisioned. :sweatingbullets:

Michael, you can react off of "seeing" the sketches if you like. I'm slowly but surely working towards to actual flower crowns 'cause these boys need flower crowns desperately. Just... Patience.

Michael leaned forward eagerly, resting his weight gingerly on his elbows and placing his head on his hands. He reached one hand forward to trace over the lines of the drawing, nodding a bit as he did and carefully moving his fingers to flip the page.

He looked at Khris for confirmation, as if asking if he could look at more, before shrugging and turning the page anyway.

"Oh, uh. Sorry. I just. Oops?" Michael made a face and crossed his ankles behind him, face slowly flushing red. "I didn't know if I was allowed to see, sorry, they're good though!"

Nice save.

Michael grinned and reached up to rub his neck. "I'm serious, though, they're really good. I can hardly draw a stick figure."

He cast his gaze at a small clump of flowers just a small way out, reaching over to pick at a few dandelions as he stared absently.

Despite all the allergies, Michael thoroughly enjoyed being outside. Mostly for the flowers, yes, but also because it was just pretty.

Michael jumped a bit at feeling something tickling his hand, looking down to see a small and crawling over the back of it. He nearly screamed, admittedly, reaching his hand up to flail it about in an attempt to dislodge the bug.
