Axyen Dragonclaw was finally going to Hogwarts, he was so excited, he even went through the platform with no issue, that was until he realized he wasn't going to be as social as he'd hoped. The train, huge, but brilliant. Axyen climbed up with his trunk, he felt isolated. In his hand was a book, his favorite book perhaps. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Axyen loved the beasts of the wizarding world, he went into the first compartment he saw and ended up having an argument about which house they wanted to join. "Well this compartment should be for Slytherins only!" One of the first years yelled at Axyen. "All I said was that I wanted to be in Gryffindor!" Axyen said before walking off frustrated. He looked into his book, he lost count at how many times he read it, but one day, he can own all sorts of beasts, he would even have his own bag to hold them. He noticed how mistreated and was even disgusted when people would talk horribly about the beasts and referred to them as 'pests' and such. Suddenly, he woke back up to reality. He needed to find a new compartment, he felt shy again and looked at it from his perspective, an empty compartment. He quickly went over to it and entered, but then saw two people there. "Sorry, umm. I'll leave." He felt even more awkward, was he really going to be alone at Hogwarts?
[OOC - Sorry for the late response, had to read this and then stuff came up!]

Louise stopped herself from asking 'what is Dungeons and Dragons' when suddenly another boy appeared in the compartment. Louise looked up at that boy and offered a warm smile. She hadn't known where he came from, and admittedly she was a tad bit startled, however she wanted to continue to make as many friends as possible.

"Oh no that's alright- we have room enough," She said gesturing to the seats. Louise then turned some of her attention back tp Fardeen, though she made sure to include both in the conversation.

"I suppose wizards chess is like regular chess...if regular chess pieces attack each other once you've checked someone," Louise said with a small laugh. She thought about the time she played wizards chess with Bea. It was an interesting game and it ended up with most of their pieces destroyed but Louise as the victor.

Louise glanced outside for a second, looking over the rolling pastures that whizzed by. She noticed that by now her nerves had subsided quite a bit and she felt much calmer. She felt good knowing that at the very least she would have some familiar faces in this strange new place. Hopefully, there would be more friends and adventures to come.

Axyen awkwardly went and took his seat before looking at his new page, he was very interested in the book, but he didn't want to be rude, seeing how they stopped a bit of their conversation when he entered the room. "Hello, what are your names?" he asked. Not the worst start, he thought to himself. He opened his trunk and put his book inside the trunk, he didn't know what else to say or do, he wasn't too good at the beginning of conversations. So far it was a friendly environment, so Axyen would try his best, but remained shy. All he could hope for was not to screw it all up, he was hoping to make friends before he got to Hogwarts. He felt nervous, he never realized how much detail was in the train, from the lamp, to the window. He looked outside, but wasn't looking. If the train was moving, he didn't know, he felt focused and unfocused from the conversation, he didn't want to seem "weird" to others. So he kept a neutral face, well, what he calls neutral anyways, but other than that he was enjoying the Hogwarts Express. Axyen then snapped back to the compartment before he became lost in his thoughts.

"Oh, hi!" Fardeen looked the new boy up and down, even he could notice how nervous he was, and that was rare. He tried to make his demeanor as welcoming and reassuring as possible, smiling brightly at him, "welcome!"

He shifted his focus to the girl's answer, "woooow that sounds so cool, you mean they actually move? That's crazy!" His mind wandered, he imagined the little chess pieces fighting, how would that even work? Did the tower just start swinging around and hitting everything? They must be different to the original ones... Were they the original ones? This felt like the 'egg vs chicken' debate, "I think I'm overthinking it, my head hurts now." He dramatically put his hand to his head and acted disoriented, then giggled, "nah, I'm just kidding."

His gaze moved to the boy, his eyes fixating on his left shoulder, "my name is Fardeen, it's really nice to meet you!" He happily extended his hand, "what were you reading?" he asked, having noticed the book he had put away.

"H-hello Fardeen!" Axyen said nervously, as he shook his Fardeen's hand(he wanted to facepalm for stuttering slightly.) "I was reading Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, I find magical creatures pretty interesting and all." Axyen replied, he found both of them extremely nice. "Oh! My name is Axyen - Axyen Dragonclaw." Axyen said, not wanting to sound rude in any manner. "Were you guys just talking about 'Wizard Chess'?" Axyen asked trying to make any type of conversation. Axyen looked out the window, and noticed the train was moving. He remembered how he wanted to be like his brother, Jacob Dragonclaw, Gryffindor, friends and adventure, and maybe this was the chance to be like his older brother. His eyes for a split-second glanced at his trunk which had a picture of him and his older brother. Axyen closed it, but grabbed his wand. Not that he knew many spells, but he felt like it'd be a lot better to have it on him. Not wanting to act weird, he said "I tried to cast the first spell I think I got down. My mother came up and saw me try to cast Incendio. It became a story around the house for a week, and my brother wouldn't quit joking about it either." Axyen said, deciding it'd be best just to keep nice and friendly conversations.

Laughed in amusement before responding “I get it, thinking is hard. One things for sure- I will not be a Ravenclaw,” Louise laughed, thinking about what she would possibly be. Considering her father and siblings were both Slytherin, it would make sense that she would be Slytherin…yet that did not feel right to her.

“Oh-“ Louise smiled over to Axyen, “My name is Louise- it’s nice to meet both of you.” She continued to listen to the conversation before deciding to interject. Louise was more of a listener by nature, however she was also extremely curious. She couldn’t help but constantly ask questions about people to learn more about them.

“I’ve never casted a spell before…I mean just the accidental spell that confirmed I was a witch but- that’s cool!” Louise said excitedly. While the idea was quite cool, Louise thought about how she personally would never do that. For starters, her father was in the ministry and he would be absolutely less than pleased if Louise used magic before attending and finishing Hogwarts.

She thought about remaining quiet, but decided to ask one more question. Mostly as it was a question that had been gnawing at her since she even stepped foot on the train. “What house do you think you guys will be?”

"Nice to meet you Louise!" Axyen said happily. But when Louise asked about the houses, Axyen remained silent for a second, but then quickly said "Gryffindor, like the rest of my family!" He said confidently. He couldn't imagine himself in any other house, that's not even a thought to him.

Well... that's what he was hoping for. Axyen felt nervous all of a sudden, "What if I don't turnout Gryffindor...?" He thought aloud. Did he really say that out loud, how embarrassing! He scolded himself silently. He quickly said "What house are you hoping for?" he said quickly, but also adding "And the spell, well, I see my mother's point." Axyen said deep in thought about all the houses. "If I messed up, I could've burnt the house down, or it could've.. backfired." Axyen wanted to ask this question to anyone who'd listen. "Would anyone want to be an animagus?" Axyen asked. "It's an um, well a witch or wizard who has an animal form, if you didn't know." Axyen explained, "Complicated, and a little uncomfortable to do." Axyen said, imagining an animal. "But I think I'll do it." Axyen continued. "I want to be a falcon, so I can soar the skies and get awesome views!" Axyen said, imagining all the views he could get. "What animals would you guys want to be? And are any of you planning on becoming an animagus?" Axyen asked, he wanted to ask the question for a while. Axyen paid more attention outside, but it was a blur as trees moved by, so he focused back on the conversation. He imagined the fat lady portrait letting him in and he would move to a Gryffindor dormitory.

Fardeen laughed at the girl's comment about Ravenclaw, even if he wasn't quite sure of what she meant. He really should have done his research beforehand.

"Ooooh I have that book! They're going to make us read it for school, right? it seems interesting," it did seem very interesting, he quickly skimmed through it a few days before the trip, he hadn't really had the time to actually read it though... Well, he had, but he was busy roleplaying on Habbo, "it's a pleasure to meet you, Axyen."

Axyen, what an odd name... He wanted to ask him about it, but his mother's voice came to mind, "holy christ fardeen, please think before you speak", so he did, and he concluded it might be a little rude.

It's not like it was a bad name by any means, he actually quite liked it, it was rad as heck, he just had never heard of a name like that before, not even in his mother's stories.

He was pulled out of his thoughts by Louise introducing herself. He couldn't believe he hadn't asked her for it before! Louise, that was also a really cool name.

Fardeen decided not to comment on the spells thing, he didn't really know anything about the topic, 'Incendio'?, didn't that mean 'fire' in spanish? Were they going to teach them to light things on fire?... Pog, but also a security hazard.

What house do you think you guys will be?

"Huh..." He didn't have an answer prepared for that, what were the houses again? "Uhm... Whatever one I land in, I guess? I heard that 'huffling puffs" are nice... And oh! The one with the snake! Snakes are awesome, heh."

Axyen seemed very confident about his pick... Until he didn't.

He listened to him ramble for a bit, the change in subject seemed really sudden, like he was avoiding thinking about his future house. He didn't really understand it, but the housing system seemed to be really important for some people.

When he got to the animagi Fardeen's eyes lit up, you could transform into an animal? That was amazing!

"That is sooooooo epic! Falcons are so cool! I want to be..." Well, that was another question he was not prepared for, "that's such a hard question, I can't choose! Hold up give me a minute... Nope, I've got nothing."

Louise blinked as the subject of the conversation was swiftly changed. She quickly blurted out, "The snakes one is Slytherin! That's the one I am going to be in...I think..." Louise did not hide her doubt about that statement. She never really was very much like her father or siblings, but her brother did say that the sorting hat had a tendency to put families in the same house...

Louise was grateful slightly that the subject had changed- perhaps they would ignore her bold claim of probably being in Slytherin. Her mind drifted to the topic of animagii then as she thought about what Axyen said.

"I don't quite think I wish to be an animagii. I've heard stories and myths of a few and they've always made me a bit nervous...besides I've no desire to be an animal," Louise stated, straightening herself up, "I'm more interested in Divination. My mother was really good at that- but we can't learn it until third year, that's what year my siblings are in-"

Louise stopped herself from rambling on, getting back to the topic as she quickly added, "Falcons are quite cool though. I would understand maybe why someone would want to be one."

Louise smiled and sat quietly as she waited patiently for the other two to begin speaking again

Axyen didn't have much reaction about Ravenclaw, he didn't want to say it in front of Louise because it'd be rude, but Axyen wanted to be in any house but Slytherin. Axyen couldn't help it coming from a Gryffindor family, he was taught by his older brother that Slytherins wasn't a good house. His mother was not happy with his older brother for weeks. Axyen reflected on this momentarily, before snapping back out of nowhere.(Sharp, but sudden movement as if snapping back from a daydream.)

That is sooooooo epic!

Epic? Axyen wasn't familiar with the word, he was taught mainly formal words, and such. He never even heard of the word in his dictionary, not like he read the entire thing.

Axyen drifted on to the next thought. "Nice to meet you too Fardeen!" Axyen said, happy he would at least have two friends.

Axyen then responded, "Most people often don't know what they want to be," Axyen explained. "It's a shame, if only we actually had a choice on what we become." Axyen sighed, remembering the chances of being able to transform into a falcon, he deeply wanted to at least have wings. But he suddenly remembered to not get too lost in his thoughts.


"Slytherin isn't too bad!" Axyen liked to think there was always nice people in every house, even his older brother couldn't stop him from thinking that. He believed there had to be a good Slytherin out there.

Divination, his family found it ridiculous, Axyen didn't really fully understand how someone would be able to See into the future. "Divination is a really interesting subject! I wonder how I'd be able to see in the future..." Axyen said, but if he was anything like his family, he probably wouldn't be good at it at all. "Well, I probably can't See into the future. I will try, that's the best I can do, right?"

Axyen looked outside again. "I wonder how far away we are now." Axyen said, getting excited about being at Hogwarts.
