There was not a hint of expectation to be acquainted with Asher's parents in the days close to hand. Despite the fact that the girl earnestly awaited that day, there was the presumption that it is unlikely to happen in the near future unless they cross paths in the Hogwarts express. If at all Asher invites her to his home- ahem just in case he does, would his parents be accepting of their son befriending a muggle born?

Does Asher know she's a muggle born? Adya plugged off her stupid thoughts before they could turn worse. Smiling at him, "When the time comes, I'll do ask her." Adya always smiled whenever Asher was in her vicinity. Moreover, those were the most genuine smiles without holding an actual reason.

Adya's eye glinted as Asher reciprocated the hug. Hugs are one of the normal gestures, aren't they? Suddenly being hugged back felt extremely special. Adya let out a short chuckle at Asher's blush combined with the silence. That she had to bite her lips to prevent him from more redness on his face. The young girl would have teased him a bit if she hadn't been gaping at him with her tongue tied while he spoke.

Adya would then continue her strolling with her arms crossed, enjoying the silence if he had or hadn't accompanied her. What else could she say? Her lips were stretched into a wide smile and her mind was overflowing with thoughts about the ball. It's not just a normal ball. A valentine's ball she's going with Asher as her date!

Asher felt delighted and terrified of the prospect of Adya meeting his mother. He wanted them to meet, he wanted Adya to get to know his mother and his mother to know Adya, and yet the simple thought of what his mother might show her if they ever meet was more than enough for Asher to want to push that scenario from ever coming to life for as long as possible.

Asher didn't keep worrying about a scenario that has yet to come and just continued living in the current moment with Adya, every smile she directed at him filled him with more happiness than he thought possible, even more so when her smiles are so genuine and warm, is this what love feels like?

Like all things in the world the hug also came to an end, disappointing Asher. It felt so long yet so short, and he definitely wanted it to last longer. Asher was glad that Adya hadn't spoken during the hug, because he would have definitely stuttered and made an embarrassing show of himself due to the position he was in.

They then continued strolling in a comfortable silence where each was lost in their own thoughts. "We should do this more often, it's...relaxing" walking side by side with Adya made every problem he had insignificant, he couldn't think about them and could only focus on Adya. It was something he could get used to.

What the hell is she doing? Every moment spent with Asher is precious and Adya kept losing seconds by remaining silent. Although her daydreams were all about him, she got to push them aside until he is beside her. To postpone it to the night maybe. Adya directed a few sideways glances at Asher as they kept strolling, unable to push the words out of her mouth. Adya sighed with relief as Asher broke the silence. Man! That voice! She could listen to it all day. Adya couldn't specifically point out what exactly was special about his voice but was aware that it was capable of bringing about the widest grin on her face.

With a chuckle, " Which one are you talking about, Ash? The Hug or the walk?" She narrowed her eyes playfully at him. All of sudden, Adya jerked closer that she half-leaned on Asher as a fellow student rushed past her. Adya bit back her smile mentally thanking the person in hurry. Gulping the air, "-Yes, it's a lot better than walking alone-" remembering the memory from the library, "- Like I told you, you make a good company- maybe great- Anything is an understatement at this point," Adya blabbed on. She didn't plan on saying this but she could barely stop from doing so. Totally unembarrassed.

Asher felt simple come up on his face as he saw Adya's grin, she chuckled before teasing him, thankfully Asher had gotten used to it by this point so he was able to reply back despite the redness in his cheeks, "I meant the walk but I would talk the hug over it if I am being honest" He felt embarrassed saying that but he didn't back away, he wanted to tell Adya about his feelings but he was scared of saying it, so he will instead do the second best thing, hint heavily at it!

Suddenly a student rushed past them which caused Adya jerk out of their way and basically half-lean into Asher. Asher felt his cheeks turn even more red but he couldn't help but feel extremely happy as well, to the point where he had to suppress a smile from appearing on his face! 'Nice assist random student!'

Asher couldn't help the smile forming of his face when Adya spoke, he felt the heat from his cheeks increase yet he payed it no mind, at least tried to. "Thanks-" he scratched his neck before continuing "-But I feel like that's just because of the effect you have on me" He wasn't sure if that would count as a hint or not but he still said it! Maybe Adya will pick something put of it? He was unsure, but regardless saying it brought a degree of embarrassment to him.

Whenever her words or her actions brought a tint of red to his face, Adya was over the moon that she was capable of making him blush, hopefully blush not in a negative way. They both had an effect on each other. Having this call-it-whatever feeling in her chest didn't trouble her anymore and only multiplied her hope. If they weren't walking, she would have gave him another hug. She pointed her eyes towards him with a grin, "Yeah? I guarantee you'll get more of these from now on- I meant both" and gave his hand a small squeeze. Adya is already a fan of hugs. When it's Asher who's giving her hugs plus walking beside her regularly- Whoa! The simple thought alone gave her butterflies in the stomach. "- I mean, you're free to say no to it, I don't compel people usually" Nevertheless she was confident- or delusional that he wouldn't say no.

Every single normal thing such as a smile from Asher seemed to double her heart rate. Adya mirrored his smile without intentionally trying to. His response only got her blinking her eyes in unsureness about what to say. In all honesty, she would have said 'I am glad it's not just me' if she wasn't tongue tied like this. "Uh- um-" Adya scratched her head briefly trying to form some words. Why suddenly it is so tough? "Really?-" Oh god! What is she saying? "I-" For whatever stupid reason, the words were stuck in her throat. The young girl took a breath and just gazed at his eyes for a second too long, finally giving up on words. However for not so long she could keep her mouth shut, "Are you always like this? Always so soft and humble? Has anyone ever irritated you and got shouted at?"
