Moderation Post Round I

It was interesting to watch the participants 'duel with spiders' instead of spells. They were safer too. No one would end up getting hurt and needing to be sent to the hospital wing to be looked after. Going from how Ronnie acted, Kim could tell that either he'd had experience dueling before or was still a duelist at his school. He idly wondered how many wins and losses the boy had racked up at Castelobruxo. It would have been fun to witness his duels later. Maybe he'd get a chance during next year's summer camp, if he wasn't too busy with his own duel at the time then.

Hell, it might even be that he'd be facing Ronnie, who knew? In which case, Kim would need to observe him as much as possible now. This boy seemed as if he liked to give some smack talk. But that was normal when it came to dueling, Kim had witnessed it quite often. Whether or not he could back his words up with skill was what mattered. You didn't just want to be someone who was all bark and no bite. But from what he'd seen earlier, all of the participants were doing pretty well. Everyone but Ronnie had a spider stuck to them now. The boy wasn't bad at all.

Haley Rose was in danger the most, with two spiders on her. However, unlike her partner, she didn't seem to take offense at this and brushed it off as the game it was. After all, it wasn't as if they got house points for this, it was all just supposed to be a fun game! She was someone who seemed to recognize it for what it was and had a positive attitude about it. AngelFyre McCubbin sought to speak about personal matters in a lowered voice and Kim wondered if this random pairing had been such a good idea. Maybe he should have personally chosen the matches.

But then, that might not have been fair to everyone.

As Verona Andréas got ready to direct his next attack at AngelFyre McCubbin, hoping to save Haley from being taken out, something unexpected happened. Not just for their opponents but for Kim too. AngelFyre McCubbin ended up taking her remaining two spiders and throwing them onto her partner, instead of her opponents. Simon Kincaid did the same as his partner had and the two effectively ended up taking eachother out in a peaceful manner. Simon grabbed AF's hand and the two ran off together back to the main area of the ballroom.

The area with the refreshments and snacks. Kim was surprised by their actions but could kind of understand where they were coming from. After all, the fate of the universe having put these four together, what were the odds of that taking place? Perhaps it was for the best that the match was over now. Instead of one side winning against the other in a normal manner, in a twist of fate, one side had taken themselves out, giving the other side the win. The only question was how would the winning side take it? Kim glanced over the two remaining and gestured towards them.

"We have our winners for Match 2!" He told those watching and nodded to Ronnie and Haley still standing on the piste. "Please make your way back to the main part of the ballroom. I'll be handing out gift bags soon and then the bash will be over. You can all stay as long as you like to chat and eat/drink and leave whenever you wish. I will give you your chocolate frogs when I finish the other match." Kim said and then directed his attention towards the last match he was moderating over. Match #1 was almost over now.

This one seemed to be taking a bit longer than the others. But it was nonetheless quite interesting to witness.

This match has ended. If you would like, you can make an exit post, but it isn't required. Sorry it took so long to finish this, real life attacked me with a vengeance. But congratulations on your win, Ronnie + Haley! All 4 of you can return to the party now, which is slowly winding down to its end. Kim will hand out gift bags and then you can either chat amongst yourselves for as long as you want or leave! I will post there as soon as I manage to get the mod post up for the other match.
