Wake up, sleepy head!
What would this prefect do if Ava punched them? Unfortunately, it would not be long now.
"Such a shame, such a foul mouth from a young girl, did your parents not teach you anything about being polite and respectful to someone older than you?" This was going to be the worst point in their entire conversation, or so Ava thought. “Mention my parents one more time and you’ll find yourself in the hospital wing for the next week.” Ava’s parents were a tough spot for her. Her mother had died quickly after her birth, and her father was just a pain in her side. He often acted like she wasn’t his daughter and more like his adopted daughter. Probably because her parents' marriage was a joke.
Ava could bash this prefect's head in, and not feel an ounce of sympathy. The prefect's glee at her exasperation and fake innocence was getting on her nerves. “I could take this to the headmaster, y’know.” Ava thought she had the upper hand in this conversation, but she couldn’t be more wrong.
It seemed to be class time because Ava had a full lecture coming at her. She listened in mock concentration as if she cared for a moment what this prefect had to say. In reality, she was formulating this prefect's downfall. First, she would punch the prefect, and hopefully knock them out. She wouldn’t try and find anyone to help the prefect, instead, she would kick them and leave them there until someone found the unconscious prefect. Hopefully, a bunch of first-years would see her...and see her incompetence.
She sensed the end of the lecture and tuned back in. “Can you repeat that for me? I zoned out.” Her eyes glinted mischievously. That seemed to be the theme of the morning. Mischief. Not that Ava minded that usually, but it was getting on her nerves at the moment.
